Albert Forest
SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Albert Forest, 86, of South Mountain Restoration Center, and formerly of Danville, Pa., and Philadelphia, died Sunday, May 4, 1997.
Born Sept. 4, 1910, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert Phillipp and Amelia Norbeck Forest.
He attended Philadelphia schools until the fifth grade when he left due to health reasons.
He is survived by two sisters, Pearl King of Philadelphia and Marie Stankiewicz of Arcadia, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Forest.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of South Mountain Restoration Center.
The Rev. Jeff Stumpley will officiate.
Dissemination of the cremains will occur after the service at the convenience and direction of the family.

James E. Solenberger
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - James Elbert Solenberger, 82, of Charles Town, died Monday, May 5, 1997, at his home.
Born Feb. 21, 1915, in Frederick County, Va., he was the son of the late Charles Mitchell and Ruth Metz Solenberger.
He was a graduate of Martinsburg High School in Martinsburg, W.Va., and Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Va.
He was an orchardist.
He was a member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church in Charles Town, and a former member of Falling Waters Presbyterian Church in Falling Waters, W.Va.
He was an elder at both churches since 1953.
He was a member of AARP and West Virginia Horticulture Society.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Crumpacker Solenberger; three daughters, Patricia Solenberger of Camillus, N.Y., Marguerite Emshoff of Lake Forest, Ill., and Judith Enterline of Winchester, Va.; two sisters, Mildred Miller of Inwood, W.Va., and Ruth Dobbins of Newark, Del.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Janney; and two brothers, Charles Solenberger and Thomas Solenberger.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date and will be held at Charles Town Presbyterian Church in Charles Town.
Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester.
There will be no visitation.

Annette J. DeHaven
PHILADELPHIA - Annette Jaxheimer DeHaven, 87, of 224 W. Tulpehocken St., died Saturday, May 3, 1997, at Unitarian Universalist House in Philadelphia.
She had been head resident for Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W.Va.
Her husband, Clarence C. DeHaven, preceded her in death.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Germantown, Pa.
She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown, where she taught Sunday school for 34 years, and was president of Trinity Lutheran Church Women and chair of the Hagerstown/Cumberland District Assembly of LCW, sang in the choir, served on the church council and taught at Community Reading School.
She also was former director of Washington County Child Development Center, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Ravenwood Lutheran Village, and a member of Order of St. Luke the Physician.
She is survived by two daughters, Annette Foor of Philadelphia and Beth Bader of Falls Church, Va.; one son, Conrad DeHaven of Charlottesville, Va.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held June 8 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.
Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, Pa.
Memorial donations may be made to Unitarian Universalist House.

Lois E. Oney
Lois Elfrieda Oney, 69, of 13630 Donnybrook Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, May 4, 1997, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born March 1, 1928, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Forrest Claire and Martha Wohlgemuth Mohney.
Her husband, Willard Arthur Oney Jr., died March 12, 1997.
She was a graduate of St. Michael's High School in Cleveland.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the church choir.
She also was a member of AARP.
She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Kay Oney of Hagerstown and Janine M. Fouke of Bluffton, S.C.; four sons, Phillip V. Oney and Kurt D. Oney, both of Waynesboro, Pa., Willard A. Oney III of Princess Anne, Md., and Forrest R. Oney of Kearneysville, W.Va.; one brother, Richard Mohney of Cleveland; and seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. George A. Limmer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Lottie P. McFarland
BERRYVILLE, Va. - Lottie Pearl McFarland, 97, of Route 1, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Monday, May 5, 1997, at the home of her sister-in-law in Berryville.
Born June 19, 1899, in Berryville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Good McDonald.
Her husband, Peter S. McFarland, died in 1979.
She was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church and the Bykota Sunday School Class.
She is survived by three sisters, Beulah McFarland and Goldie Cross, both of Hagerstown, and Nannie Silman of Berryville; nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Iarrie McDonald, with whom she lived.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery.
The Rev. Hayden L. Sparks will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Roland S. Reaver
TANEYTOWN, Md. - Roland Smith Reaver, 68, of Taneytown, died Sunday, May 4, 1997, at his home.
Born Feb. 4, 1929, in Taneytown, he was the son of the late Roland Roy and Lillian Marie Smith Reaver.
He was a lifelong farmer.
He worked as a carpenter for Jim Sell Construction in Taneytown, and later as a security guard at Cambridge Rubber Co. in Taneytown.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, where he taught Sunday school for several years.
He is survived by one sister, Hilda E. Shook of Maugansville; one brother, Roy W. Reaver of Taneytown; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Skiles Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
The Rev. J. Keith DeBord will officiate.
Burial will be in Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery, Taneytown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Anna C.K. Flohr
QUINCY, Pa. - Anna Catherine Keagy Flohr, 94, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 15593 Orchard Ave., Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., died Monday, May 5, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born April 5, 1903, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David F. and Effie May Reecher Keagy.
She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School.
Her husband, John S. Flohr, died in 1964. They were married Sept. 23, 1922.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Germantown Bethel Church of God in Cascade.
She enjoyed gardening and crafts.
She is survived by one son, Preston E. Flohr of Blue Ridge Summit; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, John Conway Flohr; three sisters; and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery. Paul Tobias, pastor, will officiate.
There will be no public viewing.
