A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald William Burger, 71, of 309 Woodpoint Ave., Hagerstown, who died Thursday, May 22, 1997, will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. George A. Limmer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown on Tuesday.
Visitation will be held at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., Hagerstown, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Ethel M. Dixon
Ethel Mae Dixon, 62, of 11214 Youngstoun Drive, Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 24, 1935, in Lovettsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Susie Viola Speaks Dixon.
She worked as a self-employed home health care aid for many years.
She was a member of Abeniezer United Methodist Church in Nearsville, Va.
She is survived by one son, Roger H. Dixon of Hagerstown; one sister, Evelyn Demory of Dargan; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, and four brothers.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
The Rev. Victor Zuck will officiate.
Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery in Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Clarence D. Longanecker
Clarence D. Longanecker, 96, of 307 N. Locust St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born May 7, 1901, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Elmer G. and May E. Summers Longanecker.
He was employed as a lead man for 27 years for Fairchild Aircraft, retiring in 1968.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Region 8 and the Old Timers Club.
He was an avid furniture maker for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine E. Swartz Longanecker; two daughters, Patricia J. Miller and Sherry L. Ashby, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Donald C. Longanecker of Chewsville and Harold L. Longanecker of Fort Lions, Colo.; one sister, Bernice Cotter of College Park, Md.; one brother, Richard Longanecker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, grandson, one sister and five brothers.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
The Rev. Darryl C. Zoller will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral home will open Monday at 3 p.m.

Frances A. Suddath
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Frances Ann Suddath, 46, of Middletown, died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born Aug. 4, 1950, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Marrie Leona Ellis Suddath.
She spent a great deal of time with Florida Avenue Day Care Center.
She is survived by one brother, James E. Suddath Jr. of Sykesville, Md.; one sister, Janice L. Barnes of Westminster, Md.; and friends, Patricia Focht, Janice Lorenz, Nancy Stull and Melissa Hiers, all of Middletown.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville.
Clayton Briley, chaplain, will officiate.
Arrangements are by Haight Funeral Home and Chapel in Sykesville.
Maurice E. Myers
SHARPSBURG - Maurice Eugene Myers, 52, of 3428 Harpers Ferry Road, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 7, 1945, in Antietam Furnace, Md., he was the son of David W. and Shirley Myers of Dargan and Edward and Phyllis Myers Knight of Downsville.
He was employed by Foltz Manufacturing in Hagerstown for 29 years.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Conococheague Sportsman's Club in Sharpsburg.
In addition to his parents and stepparents, he is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Bussard Myers, whom he married Aug. 18, 1962; one daughter, Lisa L. Eby, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; five sons, Paul E. Myers of Hagerstown, R. David Myers of Sharpsburg, Patrick E. Myers, Scott E. Myers, and Christopher L. Myers, all at home; two sisters, Betty Ecton, of Sharpsburg, and Nancy Tarmon, of Dargan; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Samples Manor Cemetery.
The Rev. Richard A. Fox will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
Lorrie M. Shrader
Lorrie M. "Tex" Shrader, 67, of South Locust Street, Hagerstown, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 4, 1929, in Brownsville, Texas, she was the daughter of the late James and Lorrie M. Martin O'Hara.
She was employed with Washington County Hospital for 31 years.
She is survived by her husband, Roy A. Shrader; one son, Michael L. Shrader of Kearneysville, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Ashley N. Shrader; and one grandson, Jason M. Shrader.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests the omission of flowers.

Phyllis H. Farley
SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Phyllis H. Farley, 71, a resident of South Mountain Restoration Center, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital in Waynesboro, Pa.
Born July 6, 1925, in Shamokin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jesse G. and Florence K. Guyer Farley.
She was employed as a nurse's aide in private residences in the Shamokin area.
She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shamokin.
She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Baker and Marion Bricker, both of Chambersburg, Pa.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Emeline Farley; and one brother, William J. Farley.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
The Rev. Richard R. Stuempfle will officiate.
Burial will be in Odd Fellow's Cemetery in Shamokin.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Rev. DeWitt L. Miller
WILLLIAMSPORT - The Rev. DeWitt L. Miller, 88, of Homewood Nursing Facility, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 12, 1908, in Bridgewater, Va., he was the son of Dr. John David and Bertha Cline Miller.
He was educated at Bridgewater College in Virginia and Bethany Seminary in Illinois.
He received honorary doctorates from both of his alumni organizations.
He was pastor emeritus at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, serving as pastor for many years starting in 1954.
He was a member of the local Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary H. Miller, of Williamsport; one son, David L. Miller of Syracuse, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Dianna M. Miller of Palo Alto, Calif., and John D. Miller of Boston, Mass.
Memorial services will be held at Hagerstown Church of the Brethren on Sunday, June 8, at 4 p.m.
There will be a fellowship supper following the services.
