FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Bret M. Overcash, 29, of 590 Coldspring Road, died Monday, Nov. 18, 1996, at Duke Medical Center, Durham, N.C.
Born May 28, 1967, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Clarence A. "Jay" Overcash, Jr. of Dillsburg, Pa., and Dorothy Heckman Overcash of Fayetteville.
He was a 1986 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.
He was employed as a partner/owner/operator by Mesa Steel Erectors, Fayetteville.
He was a member of New Guilford Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tami L. Dayhoff Overcash, whom he married on July 29, 1995; one son, Samson Aaron Kennedy at home; one sister, Amy J. Johnson of Fayetteville; one brother, Mark A. Overcash of Chambersburg; maternal grandparents, David "Roy" and Sarah "Rena" Heckman of Chambersburg; paternal grandfather, Clarence A. Overcash Sr. of Quincy, Pa.; four aunts; four uncles and three nieces.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at New Guilford Brethren in Christ Church, 1575 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Robert D. Verno will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, and Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.

Maude J. Forcini
Maude Janis Forcini, 76, formerly of 11400 Stonecroft Court, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
She was born May 17, 1920, in Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Forcini.
During World War II, she was employed by Fairchild Aircraft. She also was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of God Universal.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita D. Escobar of Hagerstown and Carolyn M. Kish of Boca Raton, Fla.; one son, Frank Thomas Forcini of Hagerstown; one sister, Ruth M. Winchell of West Camp, N.Y.; two brothers, Newton Harvey Moyer Jr. and David L. Moyer, both of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert L. Forcini; and two sisters.
Services will be held Saturday at noon at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Alvin A. Craig will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Darrell W. Graham Sr.
INWOOD, W.Va. - Darrell Wayne Graham Sr., 39, of Inwood, died Monday, Nov. 18, 1996, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Born April 26, 1957 in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Phyllis Barrett Graham Fellers of Martinsburg, W.Va., and the late Joseph Carl Graham Jr. He was the stepson of George H. Fellers.
He was employed as a truck driver by H & D Feed, Charles Town, W.Va.
He was a member of Faith Tabernacle.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by two daughters, Spring J. Graham and Angel L. Streets, both of Martinsburg; one son, Darrell W. Graham Jr. of Martinsburg; four stepdaughters, Dawna Twyman, Carla Ferguson, Barbara Ferguson and Sara James, all of Martinsburg; seven sisters, Darlene Grona, Christine Graham and Natasha Derito, all of Martinsburg, Debbie Faircloth of Hedgesville, W.Va., Cheryl Alger of Sterling, Okla., Cathy Llewellyn of Burlington, N.C. and Shawnee Caton of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; three brothers, Curtis Graham and George M. Fellers, both of Martinsburg, and Charles Timothy Allen of Mt. Olive, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Stewart Barrett Graham.
Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Harold O. Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Joseph L. Simmers
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Joseph L. "Joe" Simmers, 53, of 49 N. Phillips Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born June 8, 1943, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late John W. and Emma L. Baker Simmers.
He was a 1962 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
In his early life, he was employed in the maintenance department of Cold Spring Park, Waynesboro. He became floor manager of the roller rink at the park. He then was a sales person at Joe The Motorist, Waynesboro. He was a machinist for Emmert Manufacturing, later called Straube Manufacturing, of Waynesboro. For the past 25 years, he was employed as a grinder by the Frick Co. He also was a part-time bartender for the William Max McLaughlin VFW, Waynesboro.
He was a member of the Order of the Owls Nest 1073, Waynesboro, and a social member of the William McLaughlin VFW Post 695, Waynesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Jean M. Shearer Simmers, whom he married April 4, 1964; three daughters, Penny M. Rowe, Carla A. Yurek and Tina J. Simmers, all of Waynesboro; three sisters, Esther Miley of Greencastle, Pa., Mildred Lowman of Chambersburg, Pa., and Josephine D. McFerren of Waynesboro; one brother, David G. Simmers of Waynesboro; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert J. Simmers, Ralph L. Simmers and Charles Simmers.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Walter A. Stuart will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Mount Alto.

Madeline H. Goldfarb
SILVER SPRING, Md. - Madeline Helen Goldfarb, 76, of Silver Spring, and formerly of Berkeley Springs, Md., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring.
Born April 8, 1920, in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth M. Fearnow Spriggs.
She was a 1938 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She was a homemaker.
She attended Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Stotlers Crossroads, W.Va., and Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Morris M. Goldfarb of Silver Spring; two daughters, Patricia A. Weiland of Leonardtown, Md., and Sue Dawson of Pasadena, Md.; one son, Robert N. Goldfarb of Silver Spring; two sisters, Anne Lee Lookabill of Solomons Island, Md., and Fern Clowser of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at noon at Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The Rev. E. Dwight Byrne will officiate.

Mary V. E. Gossert
BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Mary V. "Mame" Eyler Gossert, 99, formerly of Blue Ridge Summit, died Monday, Nov. 18, 1996, at Franklin County Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 20, 1897, in Fairfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Fannie Mets Eyler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orland E. "Bill" Gossert, on Sept. 18, 1960.
She was a member of St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church, Blue Ridge Summit.
She loved to attend sales.
She is survived by one daughter, Catherine Watson of Blue Ridge Summit; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Hilda Wise and Frances Wingert; one son, Thomas Gossert; two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Eugene M. Cline will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade.

Harry W. Kindle
SMITHSBURG - Harry W. Kindle, 69, of 42 W. Water St., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 15, 1927, in Edgemont, Md., he was the son of the late Lewis N. "Jack" and Curella Plume Kindle.
He was a self-employed barber, operating his barber shop out of his home until he retired on disability. He also drove a school bus for the Washington County School District until he suffered a heart attack.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II, he served in the South Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the Welty Church of the Brethren, Smithsburg.
He also was a member of the William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695, Waynesboro, Pa., and the National AARP.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Elizabeth Swope Kindle; two daughters, Janet L. Wallech of Maugansville and Judith A. Smith of Hagerstown; one son, Bobby L. Kindle of Hagerstown; one brother, Andrew S. Kindle of Ringgold; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Fox and Elise Jones; and four brothers, Richard Kindle, Charles Kindle, Clifford Kindle and Amos Kindle.
Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor Donald E. Conley will officiate. Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599, Chambersburg Honor Guard.
