Vivian E. Masser
FREDERICK, Md. - Vivian Elizabeth Masser, 62, of 5032 Old National Pike, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1996, at her home.
Born Aug. 28, 1934, in Harmony, Md., she was the daughter of the late William Jennings B. and Cora Baugher Summers Fogle.
She was employed for 17 years as manager of the General Nutrition Center store at the Frederick Towne Mall.
She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
She was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1067, Frederick. She had served as the local, state and regional president.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, J. Karl Masser; one daughter, Cynthia A. Abrecht of Frederick; four sons, Gary J. Masser of Wolfsville, Md., Dennis K. Masser of Addison, Ill., Gregg D. Masser of Libertytown, Md., and Vincent K. Masser of Frederick; one sister, Mary A. Andrews of Frederick; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Summers Chandler and Anna Mary Fogle; and five brothers, Leroy Summers, Emory Fogle, Leon Summers, Merhle Fogle and Austin Fogle.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Etchison Memorial Chapel of Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The Rev. Wayne G. Funk will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Springs Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday.
The Eagles will conduct a memorial service on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Frederick Memorial Hospital Home Health Care and Hospice, 400 W. Seventh St., Frederick, Md. 21701 or to the charity of one's choice.
Ilse G. J. Stouffer
BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Ilse Gertrude Jordan Stouffer, 68, of 13414 South Ave., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village.
Born June 18, 1928, in Stuttgart, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Eugen and Rosa M. Jordon.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 239, Cascade, and the Sportsman's Association Inc., Fairfield, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, Albert W. Stouffer; one son, Gregory S. Stouffer of Fairfield; two sisters, Lore H. Albrecht and Inge Kraft of Germany; two brothers, Eugen J. Jordon and Peter H. Jordon both of Germany; and nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Max G. Shiley
INWOOD, W.Va. - Max G. Shiley, 66, of Rt. 2, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1996, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Jan. 16, 1930, in Bunker Hill, W.Va., he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Pearl A. Triggs Shiley.
He retired from Shiley Construction Co. Inc. For 30 years he was employed as a carpenter in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.
He was a member of the South Berkeley Baptist Church.
He also was a member of United Carpenters and Joiners Local 132; Martinsburg Lodge 120, Loyal Order of Moose; Newton D. Baker Post 896, VFW; and the Junior of U.A.M. Council 35.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dolly Brown Shiley; one daughter, Denise A. Jenkins of Inwood; one son, Gregory L. Shiley of Inwood; seven sisters, Catherine Greenwalt, Joann Plotner and Phyllis Triggs, all of Inwood, Audrey Bender of Martinsburg, W.Va., Janet Ruth Lopp of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Patricia Dodd, and Judy Hoover, both of Bunker Hill; one brother, James Tevis Shiley of Bunker Hill; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas L. Shiley, Ray Shiley and Franklin D. Shiley.
Services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. John E. Wright and the Rev. Don Chandler will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Iva B. Creter
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Iva Bell Creter, 87, of Berkeley Springs, and formerly of Darkesville, W.Va., died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1996, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Feb. 14, 1909, in Bedford, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus P. and Cora Bell Gates Flick.
She attended Trinity Lighthouse in Darkesville.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by friends and caregivers, Jean Hawkins of Inwood, W.Va., and Sandra J. Mounts of Darkesville.
Graveside services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Great Cacapon, W.Va. Frances Dunn will officiate.

Rosemarie Zombro
ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Rosemarie Zombro, 63, of Zephyrhills, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996, at her home.
Born in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Thelma Weddle Kronawetter.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, David Zombro; one daughter, Karen Corun of Joppa, Md.; one son, Eric Zombro of Williamsport; and one brother, Richard Kronawetter of Wesley Chapel, Fla.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Nov. 17, at Oakley Funeral Home in Zephyrhills. The Rev. John Hayes officiated.

Mary C. Clever
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Mary C. Clever, 86, of 210 Brindle Drive, and formerly of 126 N. Main St., died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Jan. 30, 1910, in Mercersburg, she was the daughter of the late W. Bruce and Margaret Smith Divelbiss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman G. Clever, on May 23, 1980.
She was employed as a seamstress at the Mercersburg Sewing Factory for a number of years.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Mercersburg.
She is survived by one son, Richard G. Clever of St. Thomas, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Ann Hege on Aug. 23, 1990; one son, Teddy W. Clever on Nov. 20, 1977; one grandson, John N. Clever on July 8, 1970; one sister and five brothers.
Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, with the Rev. Willis I. Murray and the Rev. Clair E. Ebersole officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Beatrice A. Munson
Beatrice A. Munson, 89, of 17817 Bluebell Drive, Hagerstown, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro.
Born Oct. 1, 1907, in Mt. Lake Park, Md., she was the daughter of the late Nelson S. and Alma Crane Bell Clary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Munson, in 1968.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.
She also was a member of Trinity Church Senior Fellowship and Lutheran Church Women; Funkstown Homemakers Club; Long Meadow Senior Citizens Bowling League and AARP.
She is survived by two sons, John C. Munson and Lynn G. Munson, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Vivian C. Courtney of College Park, Md.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
The Rev. David M. Buchenroth will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Lenora I. Lohr
Lenora Irene Lohr, 84, of 511 Frederick St., died Saturday, May 24, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 26, 1912, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Florence Estella Wolf Lohr.
She retired from Victor Hosiery in Hagerstown.
She was a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Dinkle of Hagerstown; two nieces; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Louise L. Lohr; and three brothers, Carroll E. Lohr, Ellsworth "Babe" Lohr and Sherman Lohr.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
The Rev. Fred M. Harris will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
