Alda J. Comerer
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Alda J. Comerer, 99, a resident of the Extended Care Facility of Fulton County Medical Center for 14 years, and formerly of Burnt Cabins, Pa., died Saturday, May 24, 1997, at the medical center.
Born Feb. 14, 1898, in Neelyton, Huntingdon County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dorris Peterson.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg.
The Rev. Ted Hale will officiate.
Burial will be in Burnt Cabins Cemetery.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Evelyn P. Marville
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Evelyn P. Marville, 78, of Greencastle, and formerly of Willingboro, N.J., died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born in Preston, Md., April 25, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Harvey N., Sr. and Maude Elsie Stevens Prettyman.
She was a 1936 graduate of Easton High School in Easton, Md.
She is survived by her husband, George R. Marville, whom she married in April 1938; two sons, Wayne R. Marville of Greencastle, and Gary R. Marville of Purcellville, Va.; one brother, Harvey N. Prettyman, Jr. of Easton; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy P. Spear of Cambridge, Md.
Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton.
Arrangements are by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Easton.
Madeline R.M. Kelly
WALKERSVILLE, Md. - Madeline R. McMillion Brock Kelly, 62, of Walkersville, died Saturday, May 24, 1997, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born June 26, 1934, in Barnesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alberta Forney Brock.
For more than 35 years she raised and trained horses in the Frederick area, and raced them at various tracks along the East Coast.
She was a member of Walkersville United Methodist Church and the church choir.
She enjoyed flower gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent J. Kelly Sr.; three daughters, Debra Johnson of Hagerstown, Rhonda Campbell of Unionbridge, Md., and Leslie Paugh of Woodsboro, Md.; two sons, Steve McMillion of Stewartstown, Pa., and Joe McMillion of Walkersville; one stepdaughter, Patricia O'Connor of Gaithersburg, Md.; two stepsons, Vincent J. Kelly Jr. of Westport, Conn., and Mark Kelly of Walkersville; three brothers, Lewis Brock and Francis Brock, both of Ohio, and Robert Brock of New York; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Coral Dawn McMillion.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Walkersville United Methodist Church, 22 Main St., Walkersville.
The Rev. Albert K. Lane III will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Walkersville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 22 Main St., Walkersville, Md. 21793.

Josephine P.S. Jones
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Josephine Polkowski Supplee Jones, 85, a resident of ManorCare Health Services, and formerly of 213 Topaz Drive, Chambersburg and West and East Conshohocken, Pa., died Monday, May 26, 1997, at ManorCare Health Services.
Born March 31, 1912, in Conshohocken, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Josephine Derkowski Polkowski.
The date and time of a Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be in St. Benedict's Cemetery in Conshohocken.
There will be no viewing.

RANSON, W.Va. - Shirley Virginia Fitzwater, 75, of Ranson, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at the home of her daughter in Leetown, W.Va.
Born Nov. 29, 1921, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Penwell Wiley.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mannings Assembly of God Church in Harpers Ferry.

Burial will be in Murrill Hill Cemetery in Harpers Ferry.

Mary S. Myers
REEDSON, W.Va. - Mary Susan "Susie" Myers, 76, of Reedson, Jefferson County, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Born March 17, 1921, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Bertha Harrington Hanshew.
She was a 1939 graduate of Martinsburg High School, and a 1945 graduate of Kings Daughters Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her registered nursing degree.
She was a registered nurse at Kings Daughters Hospital in Martinsburg, retiring in 1964.
She also was employed at Charles Town Hospital and for many years in private service.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond F. Myers, whom she married Feb. 6, 1948; three daughters, A. Julie Myers of Campbell, Australia, Debbie M. Whitmore of Rohrersville, Md., and Linda Raye Myers of Charles Town; one sister, Julia Cardarelli of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Bill Hanshew of Martinsburg; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Hanshew, Peggy Small and Allene O'Brien; and four brothers, Richard Hanshew, Jack Hanshew, John Hanshew and Dennis Hanshew.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Zion Episcopal Church, East Congress Street, Charles Town.
The Rev. John Alfriend will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg.

Cordell F. Shaffer
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Cordell "Cory" F. Shaffer, 2 months, son of Rodney F. and Tammy S. Ward Shaffer of 3978 Williamson Road, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa., from complications of a heart defect that he had from birth.
He was born March 5, 1997, in Chambersburg, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Desirae C. Shaffer, at home; paternal grandparents, Frank E. and Janet Shaffer of Greencastle, and David and Esther Johns of Paradise, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Robert D. and W. Charlene Ward of Bethel, Pa.; paternal great-grandparents, Frank D. and Martha Shaffer of Greencastle; maternal great-grandmother, Anabelle Ward of Lebanon, Pa.; maternal great-great-grandmother, Josephine Shenberger of Lebanon; and aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Upton Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Upton, Pa.
Dean Shaffer, pastor, will officiate.
There will be no viewing.

Wanda H. Armbrust
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Wanda Hazel Armbrust, 92, of Martinsburg, and formerly of Blue Ridge Trailer Park, Berryville Pike, Winchester, Va., died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at City Hospital.
Born Oct. 10, 1904, in Spencer, S.D., she was the daughter of the late Carl D. Wendt and Anna M. Bremer Wendt Andriot.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
