Delma J. Cox
GLENGARY, W.Va. - Delma June Cox, 77, of Glengary, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born Nov. 19, 1919, in Washburn, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Della Zickefoose Cox.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Back Creek Valley Full Gospel Church.
Charles Conley, pastor, and the Rev. Louise Bowen will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date.

Walter Scott
OLIVET, Kan. - Walter "Scotty" Scott, 90, of Olivet, died Thursday, May 22, 1997, at his home.
Born in Mercersburg, Pa., Oct. 24, 1906, he was the son of the late Robert and Della Weller Scott.
He owned and operated Arrow Rock Bait Shop in Melvern Lake, Kan.; worked as a quality control inspector at Lear Jet in Wichita, Kan., from 1964 to 1974; and previously worked at Martin-Marietta in Denver.
He was a member of Olivet United Methodist Church.
He also was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian L. Shank; three daughters, Patsy Fessler of Wichita, JoAnn Barnhart of Hagerstown, and Linda Williams of Lebo, Kan.; one son, Richard Scott of Little Orleans, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon, Kan.
Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery near Olivet.
Michael P. Julian
ROBERTSDALE, Pa. - Michael P. Julian, 83, of HC 1, Robertsdale, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon, Pa.
Born Aug. 5, 1913, in Robertsdale, Wood Township, Huntingdon County, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Rose Henderson Julian.
Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home in Hustontown, Pa.
Ed Taylor, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in New Grenada.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
IOOF Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lawrence A. Peterson
MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Lawrence Arthur Peterson, 92, of 1 Caroline Drive, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born Oct. 11, 1904, in Plainfield, N.J., he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ida Stram Peterson.
His wife, Eleanor Mulcahy Peterson, preceded him in death.
He was employed as a union electrician in New Jersey for many years and retired as an electrician with R.H. Macy Co., where he worked for 15 years.
He is survived by one son, Lawrence T. Peterson of Middletown; one grandson, Lawrence A. Peterson of Middletown; and three nieces.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Plainfield.

James I. White
BRUNSWICK, Md. - James Ivan White, 68, of 212 K St., died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at St. Catherine's Nursing Center in Emmitsburg, Md.
Born Aug. 14, 1928, in Cedarville, Va., he was the son of the late Issac Jasper and Clema Falls White.
He was a switch operator with CSX Railroad at Brunswick, retiring after 43 years of service.
He was a member of Knoxville Bible Church in Knoxville.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Catherine White; one daughter, Barbara Moler of Midlothian, Va.; one son, Kenyon White of Walkersville, Md.; one brother, Ralph Zachary White of Charles Town, W.Va.; and one grandson, John Moler.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Hogan; and two brothers, Julius White and Ira White.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick.
The Rev. Paul D. Kemp will officiate.
Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Va.

Born Oct. 18, 1909, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William James and Elsie Weaver Shimp.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel in Martinsburg.

Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Thelma G. Collins
YORK, Pa. - Thelma Grosh Collins, 88, a resident of Rest Haven Nursing Home in York, Pa., and formerly of Hagerstown, died Saturday, May 24, 1997.
Born March 15, 1909, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Chester L. and Della S. Daley Grosh.
Her husband, Joseph Collins, preceded her in death.
She was the former owner and operator of Southern Texaco Service Station of Greencastle, and owned and operated Latch Spring Restaurant in Waynesboro, Pa.
She is survived by one brother, Charles Eldon Grosh of Chambersburg; and one grandson, Lee V. Harmon of York.
She was preceded in death by one son, Chester C. Harmon; and two brothers, Glenn L. Grosh and Omer Grosh.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
The family will receive friends at Minnich-Miller-May Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle, Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Robert E. Stumbaugh
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Robert E. Stumbaugh, 80, of 2550 Rogers Drive, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Manor Care Services in Chambersburg, Pa.
Born May 15, 1917, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl S. and Mildred Ott Stumbaugh.
He received his G.E.D. from Chambersburg High School.
He was employed at the Naval Supply Service Center in Mechanicsburg, Pa., retiring in 1977 after 30 years of service as an equipment specialist.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater with the 517th Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Company.
He was a member of Maugansville Bible Brethren Church in Maugansville.
He also was a member of Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club, and National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Alice K. Barnhart Stumbaugh, whom he married Feb. 11, 1944; two sisters, Doris Fritz of Chambersburg, and Gladys Clapsaddl of Boiling Springs, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, 17904 Binkley Ave., Maugansville.
John C. Hoffman, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg, with graveside military services conducted by the honor guard of Charles M. Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post 1599, Chambersburg.
