Donald D. Baker
Donald Daniel Baker, 78, of 527 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 21, 1918, in Benevola, Md., he was the son of the late Harry Daniel and Anna Belle Hammonds Baker.
His wife, Blanche Mary Baker, preceded him in death.
He retired from Charlton Brothers Transportation Co. Inc.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by three daughters, Donna Maupin, Beverly Godlove and Christine Wolford, all of Hagerstown; two sons, Harry Baker of Chewsville and Donald Baker of Hagerstown; eight sisters, Thelma Harsh and Blanche Ausherman of Florida, Mary Rowland of Downsville, Margaret Campbell of Williamsport, Dowtha Reel, Bessie Eversole, Atalee Smith and Anna Forsythe, all of Hagerstown; one brother, Alvey S. Baker of Clear Spring; two stepbrothers, Norman Baker and Harry E. Stotler of Hagerstown; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Frye; and one brother, Thurman C. Baker.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Jonathan D. Laye will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Robert W. Heefner
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Robert W. Heefner, 73, of 207 B Goldenrod Road, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Friday, Nov. 22, 1996, at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Bloomington.
Born May 5, 1923, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Annie M. Heefner.
He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School.
A draftsman at Westinghouse Co., he retired in 1984.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served from 1943 to 1946.
He was a former member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Martz Heefner; one son, Eric A. Heefner of Bloomington; and two grandsons.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Cemetery, Wolfsville, Md. The Rev. Stephen D. Robison will officiate. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion.
Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.
Maurice R. Domenici
Maurice Richard Domenici, 80, of 21314 Leiter St., Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1916, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Severino and Petronella Domenici.
He was a 1931 graduate of University of Maryland. He received his master of education degree from Shippensburg College in 1968.
He was employed by Domenici Tire Company until 1958. He taught at St. Maria Goretti High School for two years, and then at Old Washington Street School. He retired from Western Heights Middle School.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hagerstown.
He also was a member of First Hose Fire Co. in Hagerstown, and a former member of Hagerstown Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline G. Domenici; one daughter, Mary Frances Domenici of Hagerstown; one son, Dr. Louis J. Domenici of Catonsville, Md.; and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 1996, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 218 W. Washington St., Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Mary's Catholic School, 218 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, Md. 21740.

Charlotte M. Turner
WILLIAMSPORT - Charlotte Marie Turner, 79, of 15707 Fenton Ave., died Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 29, 1917, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Iva Mae Kennel Scott.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Claudis Preston Turner; three daughters, Lois E. Gelwicks and Carol Jean Guessford, both of Hagerstown, and Donna M. Fischer of Williamsport; three sons, Harry P. Turner of Williamsport, Ned W. Turner of Marlowe, W.Va., and Douglas A. Turner of Hagerstown; four sisters, Lolita Ringer of College, Ariz., Buelah Tosten and June Grimm, both of Williamsport, and Sarah Kirkpatrick of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Richard Scott of Hagerstown; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dixie Lee Kelley; one son, James Elmer Turner; two sisters, Betty Lou Werst and Ruth Anna Whitman; and three brothers, Harry Long, Robert L. Scott and Frank K. Scott.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p .m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport. The Rev. Merle Petre will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, today from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open at 9 a.m.
Nellie G. Leather
Nellie G. Leather, 98, formerly of 55 E. North Ave., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 1996, at Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport.
Born July 11, 1898, in Wolfsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Josiah and Mary Jane Wilson Recher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Leather, in 1991.
She was employed by Western Maryland Railway.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six sisters, Bessie Recher, Lola Valentine, Maude Dubel, Erma Everly, Delva Minnich and Margaret Itnyre; and two brothers, William Recher and Earl Recher.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. David M. Buchenroth will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Florence P. Hill
Florence Pramschufer Hill, 73, of Baltimore, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996, at Franklin Woods Nursing Home in Baltimore.
She was born March 23, 1923.
She is survived by her husband, George L. Hill; two daughters, Georgia Pierne of Hagerstown and Florence Grant of Edinburgh, Scotland; one son, Robert Hill of Ellicott City, Md.; three sisters, Mary Welk, Emily Russell and Eva Pate; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5701 Loch Raven Blvd., Baltimore. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Paul E. Mentzer
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Paul E. Mentzer, 87, of Franklin County Nursing Home, and formerly of 120 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996, at Franklin County Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 17, 1909, he was the son of the late William Jacob and Emma May Rock Mentzer.
He attended Waynesboro area schools.
He was employed as a core maker at Teledyne Landis Machine Co.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Arrangements are by Snyder-Lochstampfor Funeral Home Inc. in Waynesboro.

John W. McNeal, 79, of Hagerstown and Buckhannon, W.Va., died Friday, Nov. 22, 1996, at Washington County Hospital.
