Rebecca E. Robinson
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Rebecca E. Robinson, 81, of 6375 Chambersburg Road, and formerly of 257 E. Liberty St., Chambersburg, Pa., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, at Piney Mountain, Fayetteville.
Born April 15, 1915, in Millwood, Va., she was the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Carter Banks.
She was a 1935 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Robinson, a resident of Piney Mountain; one daughter, Joan Robinson Davis of Chambersburg; three sons, Sylvester "Sparky" Robinson and Leon R. Robinson, both of Chambersburg, and Ferguson M. Robinson of York, Pa.; two sisters, Savilla Banks Weaver of Chambersburg and Henrietta Banks Williams of Harrisburg, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Jude T. Dawson-Amoah will be celebrant. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Blanche M. Johnson
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Blanche Mae Johnson, 83, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born May 25, 1913, in Gerrardstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Gold and Delia Robertson Johnson.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Johnson; five daughters, Elsie Johnson, Geneva McDowell, Rebecca Johnson and Blanche Roper, all of Martinsburg, and Charlotte Johnson of Camden, N.J.; four sons, Thomas Johnson Jr., Kenneth Johnson, Percy Johnson and Terry Johnson, all of Martinsburg; six sisters, Lena Cook, Cecelia Brown, Elizabeth Johnson and Olive Brown, all of Winchester, Va., Dora McNeel of Takoma Park, Md., and Faye Hatch of Arizona; one brother, Guy Johnson of Martinsburg; 23 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Florine Johnson and Violet Jackson; and one son, Norman Johnson.
Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Alfred E. Statesman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The family will meet at the residence on Wilson Street on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. before going to the service.
Dorothea M. Bowers
WILLIAMSPORT - Dorothea Maxine Bowers, 71, of 34 W. Salisbury St., died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 11, 1925, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Edward Thomas and Nora Agnes Pierce Renner.
She was employed by Murray's Tavern in Williamsport; and Nick's Airport Inn and Pleasant View Inn, both of Hagerstown.
She attended Williamsport United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Potomac Post 202 American Legion Auxiliary, Williamsport.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda D. Schlotterbeck of Hagerstown; two brothers, Ellsworth M. "Smoke" Renner and Richard L. "Dick" Renner, both of Williamsport; one granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Etta M. Lizer and Alma V. Allen; and four brothers, Edward L. Renner, Harold D. Renner, Charles B. Renner and Willis H. Renner.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Richard A. Kroll will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open Wednesday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Ardon S. Rock
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ardon S. "Ted" Rock, 86, of 217 Village Square, and formerly of 170 Cameo Drive, Fayetteville, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1910, in Five Forks, Quincy Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Calvin S. and Lizzy M. Monn Rock.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie R. Cook Rock, in 1995.
He was employed as a butcher by Roy L. Hoffman and Son in Hagerstown, retiring in 1975. He also was a butcher for area businesses and farmers.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, where he was part of the Comrades Sunday School Class.
He is survived by one sister, Anna Newcomber of Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, Pa.; and two nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Daryl M. Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Edward C. Keesecker
INWOOD, W.Va. - Edward C. "Eddie" Keesecker, 42, of Inwood, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at his home.
Born Sept. 17, 1954, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clifford H. Keesecker Jr. and Delsie Basore Keesecker.
He was a 1974 graduate of Musselman High School. He attended Shepherd College.
He was employed by Lucent Technologies.
He was a member of Darkesville United Methodist Church.
He was fire chief of South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Co. for 26 years and was the first Junior member.
He was a member of Berkeley County Fire and Rescue Association and a past member of Berkeley County Fire Board.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Deborah Sherrard Keesecker; two brothers, Roger Lee Keesecker Sr. and Larry C. Keesecker, both of Inwood; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Patricia Drake will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.

Archie G. Shirley Sr.
FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Archie Glenn Shirley Sr., 58, of Falling Waters, and formerly of Pinesburg, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born in Big Spring on June 29, 1938, he was the son of the late Samuel Jacob and Elsie Izora Pierce Shirley.
He was employed at Cushwa Brick Co. in Williamsport for 37 years.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 902 in Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Ann Nave Shirley; three daughters, Dorothy M. Miller and Margaret A. Robinson, both of Hagerstown, and Pamela S. Sine, at home; two sons, Archie Glenn Shirley Jr. and Danny L. Shirley, both at home; four sisters, Gladys Mann of Smithsburg, Helen French of Williamsport, Anna Summers of Big Pool, and Betty Jane West of Chambersburg, Pa.; two brothers, Samuel Shirley Jr. of Hancock, and David Shirley of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Shirley; and five brothers, Calvin Shirley, Ernest Shirley, Ed Shirley, Robert Shirley and Wade Shirley.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. John C. Koontz will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.

Joyce E. Bussard
Joyce E. Bussard, 48, of 55 Manor Drive, Apt. A-1, Hagerstown, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 23, 1948, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Arthur H. Myers of Hagerstown and Carlos B. Giffin of Keedysville and the late Mildred P. Bussard Myers.
She retired from the Sheraton Inn in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Battlefield Bible Church in Tilghmanton.
In addition to her father and stepfather, she is survived by five sisters, Christina Dodson of Sharpsburg, Beverly Longerbeam and Sandra Kelley, both of Keedysville, Deborah Cline of Charles Town, W.Va., and Sharon Grove of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; one brother, Edward Giffin of Hagerstown; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Henry A. Lutz Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Samples Manor Cemetery.

Mary A. Ulino
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Mary A. Ulino, a resident of Moss Creek Plantation, and formerly of Long Island, N.Y., Silver Spring and Sykesville, Md., died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, at Hilton Head Medical Center and Clinics.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mariano Andreoli.
In the 1970s, she was employed by the U.S. Congress as the Carroll County, Md., representative for U.S. Congressman Goodloe Byron and, upon his death, for Beverly B. Byron, who assumed her late husband's congressional seat.
She was a member of Maryland Federation of Womens Clubs. She served as president of the Sykesville Womens Club and later as president of the Western Maryland District from 1978 to 1980. She was a member of the Centennial Club of the Western District, comprised of all former presidents of that district.
She is survived by her husband, Albert W. Ulino; one daughter, Elisa A. Ulino of College Park, Md.; one son, Robert M. Ulino of Oakland, Md.; one sister, Sarah DeVito of East Meadows, Long Island, N.Y.; one brother, Jerome Andreoli of Mineola, N.Y.; and one granddaughter.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church at Pinckney Colony, Bluffton, S.C., at a later date. Burial will be at the Ulino family grave site in St. Charles Cemetery, Suffolk County, Long Island, on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Friends will be received at O'Shea Funeral Home, East Meadows, Long Island, on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the building fund of St. Andrew Catholic Church, P.O. Box 478, Hardeeville, S.C. 29927.
