Robert D. Holbruner
SHARPSBURG - Robert Deeds Holbruner, 81, of Sharpsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at his home.
Born Feb. 7, 1915, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Arch S. and Mazie V. Deeds Holbruner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Cleventine "Teany" Otzelberger, in 1957.
He was employed as a sheet metal worker by Fairchild Aircraft.
He was a member of Burnside First Church of God.
He also was a member of National Watch and Clock Collectors Association.
He is survived by three daughters, Joan M. Knight of Fair Play, Joy S. Sandy of Rohrersville and Lois K. Dawson of Sharpsburg; one son, Robert J. Holbruner of Williamsport; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a close friend, E. Virginia Malott.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Holbruner.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. Ernest E. Witmer will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Thursday for the convenience of the family.

Frederick L. Bragg Sr.
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Frederick Lee Bragg Sr., 43, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born July 2, 1953, in Annapolis, he was the son of Buelah Mae French Bragg of Tampa, Fla., and the late Arlie Wilton Bragg.
He was employed by Fleetwood Industries for 10 years. He also had been a self-employed carpenter.
He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Jane Berkheimer Bragg; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Bragg and Lindsey Ann Bragg, both of Berkeley Springs; one son, Frederick Lee Bragg Jr. of Berkeley Springs; four sisters, Virginia L. Ritter of Green Spring, W.Va., Thelma L. Kay of Slanesville, W.Va., Ruth Ann Bowman of Annapolis and Phyllis Joan Seward of Tampa; one grandson and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wilton Bragg.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Owen B. Womack will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Terry E. Greenawalt
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Terry E. Greenawalt, 47, of 445 Paul Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at his home.
Born July 21, 1949, in Chambersburg, he was the son of John N. Greenawalt of Chambersburg and J. Carlean Cramer Rohrabaugh of Chambersburg, and the stepson of Teresa Greenawalt of Chambersburg.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg High School.
He had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for a number of years. He then was employed by Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, Chambersburg.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion and Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224, both of Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents and stepmother, he is survived by one son, Eric L. Greenawalt of Chambersburg; one sister, Debbie Sattazahn of Chambersburg; one brother, J. Nicholas Greenawalt of Shippensburg, Pa.; one stepsister, Trina Greenawalt of Chambersburg; one niece and four nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Earl E. Mills will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

Catherine A. Derridinger
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Catherine A. Derridinger, 89, of Menno Haven, and formerly of 425 Cumberland Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at Menno Haven.
Born June 2, 1907, in Easton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Louise Kubrik Klein.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Derridinger, in 1952.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She had been a member and past president of the former Federated Women's Club, Chambersburg; was a volunteer with the Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary; organized a clothing clinic for the needy in the former Rosedale Theater, Chambersburg; was a member of the Beal Fine Arts Association; and the Falling Spring Chapter of AARP, Chambersburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle D. McFerren and Cathy D. Shively, both of Chambersburg; two sons, Richard K. Derridinger of Tampa, Fla., and Paul F. Derridinger of Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Anne Bullock, Loretta Klein and Helene Nagumey, all of Easton; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan D. DeHaven, on July 26, 1993.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Monsignor Thomas R. Brenner will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333, Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.

Virginia A. Springston
MORRISON, Colo. - Virginia Aulabaugh Springston, 84, of Morrison, died Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at Bear Creek Nursing Center, Morrison.
Born June 30, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Clifton E. and Carrie E. Aulabaugh.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William P. Springston of Denver; one son, William P. Springston Jr. of Lone Tree, Colo.; three sisters, Ferol Lacy of Sterling, Va., LeEsta Wade of Hagerstown, and Frances Michael of Williamsport; and three granddaughters.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Aspen Mortuary, Lakewood, Colo.
Mary L. Johnson
The Rev. Mary Louise Johnson, 86, of Ravenwood Lutheran Village and formerly of 1427 Kensington Drive, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Born Nov. 17, 1910, in New Martinsville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Mathias M. and Anna Eleanor McCausland Johnson.
She was a graduate of Hagerstown Business College and a 1935 graduate of Central Bible Institute, Missouri.
She was pastor and co-pastor at a number of churches. She was minister of music at Glad Tidings Church, Dallas, assistant dean of women at Central Bible Institute from 1945 to 1946 and was dean of women at Zion Bible Institute, Illinois, from 1948 to 1949. She was pastor of Full Gospel Assembly, New York City, for many years. She retired in 1975.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene O. Revell, Nelle L. Hager and Sara I. Johnson; and three brothers, Raymond B. Johnson, Theodore A. Johnson and Edwin H. Johnson.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert Revell will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Julia R. Huffer
Julia Rose Huffer, 82, of 18017 Putter Drive, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 9, 1914, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Edna Hartman Lizer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Huffer, on March 19, 1993.
She was a 1933 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1936 graduate of Church Home Hospital School of Nursing. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing education from Johns Hopkins University in 1945, and her master's degree in nursing administration from Columbia University, Teachers College, New York.
She was employed as an instructor and supervisor at Church Hospital from 1936 until 1946; was a clinical instructor for two years and was director of nursing at Washington County Hospital from 1946 until 1976.
She was a member of the Emmanuel United Brethren Church, now United Methodist, as a member of its first Catechetical Class. She served on many of the church's committees and chaired its administrative board when the United Brethren churches merged with the United Methodist. She was a member of the church choir for more than 70 years, and taught Sunday school classes in both the children's department and a Young Ladies Class. In 1978, she helped organize the Emmanuel Fellowship, which has become the South End Senior Citizens Association. She served on the church's Scholarship Committee from its inception.
She was a member and past president of the Hagerstown Club of Zonta International and served on the Board of Maryland Nurses' Association of the Maryland League for Nursing.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Pamela Frusher of Hagerstown; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews to the fourth generation.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dennis L. Upton will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Nellie V. Webber
INWOOD, W.Va. - Nellie Virginia Webber, 97, of Inwood, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 4, 1899, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert I. and Frances Amelia Thompson Barbour.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hencil Webber, on March 21, 1975.
She was a member of the Gerrardstown United Methodist Church.
She also was a member of the Senior Citizens Satellite Center, Inwood.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty L. McAtee of Martinsburg; one son, Bruce W. Webber of Inwood; one sister, Minnie Wilson of Inwood; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel Brucklacher and Lelia Gray; and two brothers, Robert Barbour and Harry Barbour.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Burial will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
