Ali Korpi
Ali Korpi, 91, of 11037 Lincoln Ave., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at his home.
Born April 10, 1905, in Gloucester, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Mary Makki Korpi.
His wife, Ruth Korpi, died in 1995.
He was employed as an automobile mechanic.
He was a member of First Congregational Church in Wareham, Mass.
He is survived by one daughter, Marion Unruh of Hagerstown; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Unruh of Indianapolis and Paul Unruh of Chambersburg, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
The Rev. Paul Jeffries will officiate.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing.

Louise V. Bentz
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Louise Virginia Bentz, 76, of Charles Town, died Monday, Jan. 20, 1997, at Integrated Health Services of West Virginia in Charles Town.
Born May 2, 1920, in Berryville, Va., she was the daughter of the late William and Ella Pierce Shull.
Her husband, Garnett Randolph Bentz, died in 1962.
She retired after 30 years with Harry M. Stevens Co. Food Service at Charles Town Races in Charles Town.
She previously was employed at Victor Products in Charles Town.
She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Charles Town.
She also was a member of Women of the Moose 1028 in Charles Town, Ladies Auxiliary of Jackson Perks American Legion Post 71 in Charles Town, and Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3522 in Charles Town.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Stickles of St. Augustine, Fla., and Joan Slusher of Charles Town; two sons, William "Bill" Bentz of Alexandria, Va., and Garnett "Bucky" Bentz of Ranson, W.Va.; one sister, Naomi Leagan of Hanover, Pa.; one brother, Edward Shull of Frankford, Del.; four grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town.
The Rev. Richard E. Neal will officiate.
Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Va.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Delia M. Davies
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Delia M. Davies, 63, of 259 Mount Union Road, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa.
Born Nov. 30, 1933, in Schenectady, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Julia Lenta Potente.
She was of the Roman Catholic faith.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie D. Davies, whom she married May 30, 1977; five daughters, Chris T. Christensen of Eugene, Ore., Lynn J. Christensen of Monrovia, Calif., Lisa M. Ross of Camarillo, Calif., Lynnae K. Millar of Kailua, Hawaii, and Lori A. DeThomas of Washington, Pa.; one sister, Louise Rayner of Schenectady; and 11 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Jude T. Dawson-Amoah as celebrant.
Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Marriottsville, Md.
A viewing will be held at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Cleo I. Strock
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Cleo I. Strock, 67, of 989 Strock Drive, died Monday, Jan. 20, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 25, 1929, in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Catharine V. Truax Cutchall.
She was a 1947 graduate of Chambersburg High School.
She retired from Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg, where she was a bookkeeper, after 26 years of service.
She also was employed at the former Ellenberger Egg Co. in Chambersburg and Walterick Furniture in St. Thomas, Pa.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She was a member of AARP, and a former den mother for Cub Scout Troop 124 in Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Harold L. Strock, whom she married Dec. 5, 1951; one son, Adam Jay Strock of Chambersburg; one sister, Anna A. "Boo" Preisler of Chambersburg; a cousin, Paul L. Truax of Cheyene, Wyo., who was raised in the family home; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
The Rev. Robert Dean Morrison will officiate.
Private burial will be in Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg.
There will be no viewing.

John H. Seylar
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - John H. Seylar, 64, of 444 E. Madison St., died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1997, from injuries received in a traffic accident in Montgomery Township, Pa.
Born Feb. 8, 1932, near Greencastle, he was the son of the late H. Stanley and Ruth L. Ommert Seylar.
He was a 1950 graduate of Greencastle High School.
He retired in 1992 after 42 years with Landis Machine Co. in Waynesboro, where he was a machinist and later a supervisor.
Early in life he farmed. He also owned Seylar's Sales and Service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greencastle, where he was assistant superintendent of the Sunday school for many years, and received awards for many years of perfect attendance in Sunday school.
He was a member of National AARP.
He enjoyed antique tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Cunningham Seylar, whom he married March 5, 1955; three daughters, Susan S. Stevens, Kathy D. Statler and Karen E. Seylar, all of Greencastle; one son, Steven J. Seylar of Greencastle; two sisters, Mildred Sweigert of St. Thomas, Pa., and Grace Gearhart of Shady Grove, Pa.; three brothers, Robert Seylar and Ralph Seylar, both of Chambersburg, and Jay Seylar of Greencastle; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Rosaline Byers.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle.
The Rev. David Armstrong and the Rev. Michael Newman will officiate.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Edith E. Montanio
WILLIAMSPORT - Edith Elaine Montanio, 50, of 16308 Lappans Road, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997, at her home.
Born Aug. 21, 1946, in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Fred Melvin and Evelyn Mae Forbes Knowlton.
She was a housewife.
She was a member of Williamsport Assembly of God, and was active with the church.
She also was active with Heritage Academy.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony C. Montanio Sr. of Williamsport; one daughter, Josephine L. Montanio, at home; one son, Anthony C. Montanio Jr., at home; two sisters, Fedora Baird of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Karen Knowlton of Atlanta, Ga.; and one brother, Fred Knowlton of Syracuse, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Williamsport Assembly of God, Falling Waters Road, Williamsport.
The Rev. Daniel Jordan will officiate.
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Clear Spring.

Ellis L. Miller
WILLIAMSPORT - Ellis Lee Miller, 76, of 15151 Clear Spring Road, died Monday, Jan. 20, 1997, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born March 27, 1920, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late George Ellis and Minnie Myrtle Snook Miller.
His former wife, Arlene Lorraine Miller Mason, preceded him in death.
He was a former member of the Eagles of Hagerstown; the American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42; AMVETS of Williamsport; and Redmen of Williamsport.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky E. Miller Sr. of Williamsport, with whom he resided, and Robert L. Miller of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., with a memorial service at 8:40 p.m. Bryan R. Bailey, minister, will officiate.
His remains will be cremated following the viewing, and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Robert J. Kerlin, 87, of 25 1/2 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown, who died Friday, Jan. 17, 1997, was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Atherton; and one son, Charles Kerlin.
