Donald Budd

Donald H. Budd, 93, of Cumberland Center, the eighth of twelve siblings) died Wednesday, April 21, at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth, Michigan to work as a carpenter apprentice with his Uncle Lloyd and became self-educated.
He had lived in Parris Island, SC, Portsmouth, NH, and York before moving to N.H.. There he became a naturalized citizen in 1942 and went to work for the Portmouth Ship Yards. Then on to the Marshall House in York, Maine Medical Center.
Pat was born November 24, 1936, in Mars Hill, daughter of Cecile (Cyr) Brown Austin and Harry Brown. Pat was the beloved mother of five children and a very special "Nannie" to five grandchildren.
She was the co-founder of All Points Travel in Windham, and served as its president for over 27 years.
Pat was passionate about her community and served it until her death. She was the co-founder of The Gray News, and was Editor from 1971 until 1977. She was also Chair of the Gray Town Council. Pat was a 25-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 86, Gray, and a supporter of the Gray Animal Park (now the Maine woods. From 1941 to 1945, he worked at the South Portland Shipyards, building Liberty ships. He also worked in the Maintenance Department at the Pepperell Woolen Mill, and retired in 1972.
Mr. Dawley was a member of the New Gloucester Bible Church and attended faithfully for the past 26 years. He loved his family and his church.
He enjoyed cattle, horses and the Maine July 1, 1930 , he was the son of Harry and Julia Malia Bryant. He was educated in Portland Schools, a graduate of Cheverus High School and Northeastern Business College. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Bryant was a member of the Teamsters Union, and was retired from APA Transport Corps.
He was a member of St. Gregory's Parish.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Patricia Maine 04106, or St. Gregory's Parish, P.O. Box 345, Gray, Maine 04039.
Arrangements were under the care of Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
