GRACE I. THOMPSON
MEDWAY - Grace I. Thompson, 80, wife of the late Allen Thompson, died May 17, 2004, at a Patten healthcare facility. She was born June 6, 1923, in Millinocket, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Hall) Campbell.
She is survived by five children, Allen Thompson and his wife Holly of Milo, Ernest Thompson and Stephen Michael Thompson.
Friends may call from 2 -3 p.m. Wednesday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Isaiah Hill officiating. Interment will be in East Millinocket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be left at the funeral home toward funeral expenses.
HAROLD STERLING THOMPSON
LINCOLN - Harold Sterling Thompson, 79, husband of Beulah (Worster) Thompson, died April 3, 2004, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. He was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Prentiss, the son of Nat and Madge (Smith) Thompson. He was a U S Army veteran of World War II. Harold worked for William and Calvin Thompson and Becky of Deep River, Conn, Galen Thompson and Judy of Brookton, and Susan and Richard Jipson of Prentiss; a brother, Fern Thompson Cemetery, Prentiss, with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating.
JENNIE THOMPSON
MEDWAY - Jennie Elizabeth (York) Thompson, 83, wife of the late Norman L. Thompson, went to be with the Lord, April 5, 2004, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Lincoln, the daughter of Austin and Josephine (Jones) York. Jennie had been a faithful member of the Medway Church of God for more than 50 years, where she had taught Sunday School for more than 30 years. She was also church clerk, and worked in many areas of the church yard sales and food sales. Whatever needed to be done, she was always there. The last few years, when she couldn't get to church, she would call on the phone people who were sick to see how they were doing. She was a great prayer warrior for Christ. Everything she did, she put her whole heart into it. Everyone that knew her, loved her and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Beulah Peters and her husband Woodford of Mattawamkeag; two sons, Leroy Thompson, and Norman Pennsylvania; two daughters, Janet Slevinsky of Springfield and Lorraine Poggio of Thompson of Mineola, Maine on July 21, 1930 the son of Wilmot W. & Hannah B. (Chapman) Waltz. Bob was raised in Passadumkeag, ME where he attended grammar school and graduated from Howland High School in 1948. He worked with the Forest Engineering Dept. of International Paper Co. He married Helen Witherell of Taunton, Mass. who later passed away in 1974 due to Cancer. He served in the U.S. Army 9th Infantry Division for two years and was discharged with rank of Corporal February 1954. He returned to the Woodlands Department of IP in Mattawamkeag, Florida to live aboard a new boat, "Lady Waltz". Bob's love of the water and boats kept him busy and he was known as "Trader Bob" selling boats for Yacht Brokerage USA and surveying for American Marine Surveyors. All good things must come to an end and they became land bound again, settling in at the adult park of Mobel Americana. Bob was a long time member of Winthrop Street Baptist Church and a Mason in the King David Lodge in Taunton.
Family members include his wife of 20 years, Marilyn Maynard Waltz of St. Petersburg, two children, Bonnie DeMoranville of Tiverton, R.I., and Jeffrey A. Waltz, of Cornville, Florida, a Masonic memorial service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road Lincoln, Maine in 1975. He then went into the fire wood business, which was his last venture up until the age of 91. He lived in Selden until 1997 at which time he moved to Bangor to live with his family due to failing health. He attended the Haynesville and Selden Baptist Churches.
He was predeceased by his wife Edna (Dow) Williams, a son Marvin Williams and a great-grandchild Gillian Milheron. He is survived by two daughters, Polly Goding of Bangor and Madelyn Milheron and husband, Richard, of Brewer, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Duane Waite officiating. Interment will be in Selden Cemetery. In keeping with his love for children and in memory of his great-grandchild who predeceased him donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, Our House of Maine Department of Transportation for 40 years, retiring in 1984. Until suffering a stroke in 2000, he enjoyed summer employment operating the grader for area contractors as well as Mt. Desert Island contractors helping to rebuild the Carriage Roads in Acadia National Park. He and his wife greatly enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling, especially to country music and bluegrass festivals. Roger was a member of the Maine State Employees Association and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He and his wife attended the Lincoln Center Baptist Church, and he proudly served his country during both WW II and the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Charity (Blanchard) Worster, his son, Roger, Jr., a very special granddaughter, Amanda (Worster) Brown, a special former daughter-in-law, Michelle Fuller, his brother, Myron, a very special friend, Dorice Jordan, a special cousin, Irene, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Florence in August, 1950, his sister, Estella in June, 1991 and his brother Paul in April, 1994.
There will be no visitation, only a graveside prayer at the Butterfield Cemetery in Prentiss on Friday, May 21, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Ronald Campbell officiating. ERIC P. WORTHING
MEDFORD - Eric P. Worthing, 36, husband of Angela (Hill) Worthing, died May 11, 2004, at his residence. Born Nov. 3, 1967 in Lincoln, he was the son of Dick Albert of Lewiston and Sheila (Reed) Tozier of Howland. Eric was self employed as a carpenter. He loved outdoor sports, especially fishing and four wheeling.
Besides his wife and his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Erika of Medford, one brother, Stephen Worthing of Yarmouth, one sister, Rhonda Michaud of Enfield, his grandparents, Omar and Myrtle Reed of Howland, nieces and nephews, Dawn and Adam of Jacksonville, FL, Christy of Savannah, GA, Jered of West Enfield, and Dana of Bangor, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cliff and Bonnie Hill of Lowell. He was predeceased by a brother, Brent Worthing.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. Interment will be in Howland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a trust fund for Erika. JOSEPHINE YORK
MEDWAY-Josephine York, 82, went home to be with the Lord, April 8, 2004 at a Millinocket hospital. She was born August 23, 1921 in East Millinocket, the daughter of William and Mary (Bushey) Burby. She was a member of the Calvary Temple for more than 40 years where she was secretary and treasurer for about 8 years, and was active in the Sunday School and the W.M.'s.
She is survived by her husband, Guy York, Sr. of Medway; four children, Guy E.York, Jr. and his wife Mary of Rialto, CA, Thurza Frost and her husband Donald of Spring Hill, Fla, Elizabeth Montgomery and her husband Victor of Newport Beach, CA and Stephen York and his wife Laurie of East Millinocket; one sister Maude Peterson of China, ME; one brother Frank Albert Burby of High Point, N.C.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Calvary Temple-Assembly of God, 2 Orchard Street, East Millinocket. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Calvary Temple with the Rev. Regginal Adams and the Rev. Mark Pilletere officiating. Interment will be in Grindstone Road Cemetery. JOYCE MARIE ALLEN
DANFORTH- Joyce Marie Allen, 67, died Oct. 22, 2004 at a Houlton hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Orient, the daughter of Guy L. and Vallie L. (Faulkner) Allen. Joyce worked as a waitress. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by three brothers, Elwood Allen of Danforth, Gerald Allen and his wife Jackie of Danforth, and Kenny Carr of Calais; a sister, Reta Allen of Danforth; three nephews and their wives, seven grand-nephews, two grand-nieces, one brother in-law, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Carolyn A. Ellingwood.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at the Danforth Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Root and Pastor Bruce McEwen officiating. A gathering will be held at the Weston Grange Hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danforth Pentecostal Church or to the family of Joyce Allen. WILLIAM C. BIRMINGHAM
MEDWAY - William C. Birmingham, 56, husband of Jacalyn (Jones) Birmingham, died Sept. 25, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 8, 1948, in East Millinocket, the son of Roger and Bertha (Pelkey) Birmingham. William worked for the Town of East Millinocket for about 15 years. He enjoyed hunting and especially fishing.
In addition to his wife, Jacalyn, he is survived by two sons, Allen Birmingham of Elgin, S.C. and William J. Birmingham and his girlfriend, Jamie Curtis, of Bangor; a special granddaughter whom he adored, Alyssa Birmingham of Millinocket; a half brother, Leland Libby of Windsor, Vt.; four sisters, Leta McLaughlin of Grindstone, Sharon Birmingham of Bangor, Diane Cote of Millinocket, and Brenda Van Dine of Orono; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a special friend, Robert "Bear" Boutaugh. He was predeceased by a brother, Roger "Butch" Birmingham and a half-sister, Patricia Carlson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway, with the Rev. Ralph Jacobs officiating. FRED A. BONNER
Danforth- Fred A. Bonner, 64, husband of Barbara (Orloski) Bonner, died November 18, 2004 at his home. He was born in Danforth, September 17, 1940, the son of Claude A. and Vera M. (Muncey) Bonner. Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. He was a Set Up Man for Armstrong World Industries in Braintree, Mass for forty years.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, of Danforth he is survived by two daughters, Linda Marie Dodge and her partner, Charles New York; four grandchildren, Carl, Elishia and Jacquelyn Dodge and Michael Grey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, William and a nephew, Scott Bonner.

WALTER WINGHEART CAMERON
LINCOLN -Walter Wingheart Cameron, 91, husband of the late Frances (Piraino) Cameron, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Nov. 9, 2004, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. He was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Brookton, the son of Audburaud and Lena (Bubar) Cameron. Walter married Frances, Dec. 17, 1937, in Preston and her husband, Donald of Wytopitlock, and Diane Beach and her husband, Lewis of Topsfield; a stepdaughter, Amy Lee and her husband, William, of Lincoln, four stepsons, Orin Chesley and his wife, Sheila, of Woodville, Arthur Chesley and his wife, Sally, and Clifton Chesley, all of Lincoln, and Cary Chesley and his wife, Linda, of Enfield; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 20 step-grandchildren; 35 step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by three grandchildren, Steven Stinson. Reginald Calif., Joan and her husband, Robert Whittier, of Lincoln, David and his fiancée, Jamie, of Portland, and James and his wife, Evelyn, of Bedford, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Charles Spearin, Josephine Faulkner, Helen Weatherbee, Ruth S. Kilbride and Joseph Spearin.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lincoln Cemetery, with pastor Tim Lawlor officiating. Friends and family are invited to Charlotte's home, 36 Transalpine Road, Lincoln, after the service. PAULINE V. CURRIER
West Enfield - Pauline V. Currier, 77, wife of the late Walter Currier, died at her home in West Enfield. She was born in Lincoln, Sept 16, 1927, the daughter of Lee and Elizabeth (Kimball) Tozier.
Among her survivors are a son, Weston Currier and his wife, Joyce of Lyman; three daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Ricky Martin of Dedham, Penny and Michael Dow of Argyle and Tammy and John Plante of Green bush; a brother, Harold Tozier; four sisters, Helen Wickett, Alberta Cole, Marjorie Dam and Gloria Reed; five special grandchildren, Chad and Kailee Martin, Michael "Trapper" Dow and Heidi and Darren Plante; four other grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at the West Enfield Cemetery, with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
