AVIS M. BOYCE
MATTAWAMKEAG- Avis M. Boyce, 87, died Feb. 15, 2008 at a Lincoln nursing home. She was born Aug. 5, 1920 in Monticello the daughter of Mert and Mandy (Bulley) Hothan. Avis loved being with her family. She also loved to do crafts and crocheting.
She is survived by a son, Lloyd Boyce and his wife Cheryl and a daughter, Nina Wortman, all of Macwahoc; two grandsons and one grand daughter; one brother and one sister; she was also survived by two very close friends, Dwight Osgood and Tammy Osgood. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilmont Boyce.

Graveside services will held in the spring at Macwahoc Cemetery. Those who wish may donate in Avis’s memory to a charity of choice. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

DOUGLAS L. BRADBURY
BURLINGTON - Douglas L. Bradbury, 70, husband of Nancy (Curtis) Bradbury, passed away Oct 9, 2008, at his home. He was born February 27, 1938, in Lincoln, the son of Albert and Avis (Bowers) Bradbury. Doug was a generous and caring man who loved the outdoors. He was a logging contractor most of his life.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his mother and step-father, Avis and Russell Noyes, his broher, Dean and his wife, Fran; special nephew, Dan Bradbury; niece Karen Drapeau and her husband, Tim; great nephew and great niece, Noah and Abby Drapeau; ste[children, Susan, Tammy, Claude, Rosemary, Mitchell, Gwendolyn, Jamie and Carl; step-grandchildren, Cameron and Rylee Harding, Shelby Savage and Josh Fernald. Doug will be missed by his special friends, Jerome Thurlow and Linwood Batchelder. He was predeceased by his father.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mitch Bickford officiating. Interment will be in Lowell Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to Triangle Fire Department, P O Box 16, Burlington, ME 04417.

SHIRLEY BLAKE BREHAUT
LINCOLN - Shirley Blake Brehaut, 81, died peacefully on Feb. 19th 2008 in Lincoln. She was born on September 24th 1926 in Lincoln, the daughter of George and Villa (Libby) Blake. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Stanley H. Brehaut, her beloved son, Stan Brehaut and sister Rita Gifford.
She is survived by her daughter Rozanne Porter and her husband Jim of Lincoln, daughter in law, Brenda Brehaut of Enfield; grandsons John Porter and Sue of Lee, Ty Brehaut and Courtney of Waterville and Tristen Brehaut of Enfield; granddaughter Lindsay Harmon and Andrew of Hampden. Great grandchildren Michelle and Megan Porter of Lincoln, Bernie Connors of Fort Bragg, Washington state; three grand-children, Anthony, Carrie and Sean; two daughters-in-law, Lydia Brown and Paula; a special nephew, Fred Brown and family; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Hazel; three brothers, Thomas, Clarence and John; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Heather. The family thanks Dr. Jenkins and the nurses at Katahdin Nursing Home and Millinocket Regional Hospital for the care they gave to Marion.

At Marion's request, there will be no services. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

OLIVE L. BROWN
MATTAWAMKEAG - Olive l. Brown, 93, wife of the late Adien A. Brown, passed away Oct. 27, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born June 19, 1914, in Lee, the daughter of Frank and Laura (Rideout) Gifford. Olive worked for more than 30 years at Forster Manufacturing Co, Inc., in Mattawamkeag. She spent a lot of time in her garden and picking berries. She enjoyed gospel music. The family would like to thank the staff at Colonial Healthcare for the care Olive received.
She is survived by six children, Ansil Brown and Ann of Lincoln, Blaine Brown and Hildred, Sandra Marshall and Horace, all of Holden, Brenda Akeley and Carl of Millinocket, Norman Brown and Naida of Mattawamkeag, and Robert Brown and Bernadine of Chester; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov 3, 2007, at Mattawamkeag Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark W. York officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in her name to the activities fund at Colonial Healthcare, P O Box 70, Lincoln, ME 04457. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

BRENDA J. BRYER
HOW LAND - Brenda J. Bryer, 47, wife of Brent Bryer, went home to be with the Lord, May 21, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Jan 16, 1961, in Lincoln, the daughter of George and Betty (Batchelder) Willett. Brenda was a 1980 graduate of Penobscot Valley High School. Her daughter, Kristi, was a very special part of her life. Brenda was very active at the Howland Baptist Church, especially with the young people in Sunday School, Junior Church and AWANA She loved being around kids. She also loved tenting in the summertime and making trips to the coast.
In addition to her parents, her husband and her daughter, she is survived by a sister, Cathy Ritchie of Lisbon Falls; her twin, Brent Willett of Turner; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by a nephew, Keith Ritchie and a niece, Olivia Ritchie.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Howland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. Interment will be in Edinburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Howland Baptist Church.

NORMAN E. BUDGE, SR.
"BUDDY"

Mattawamkeag - Norman E. "Buddy" Budge, Sr., 82, husband of Shirley (Shedd) Budge, died June 16, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born June 9, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of G. Smith Budge, Jr. and Leola (Drake) Budge McGregor. Buddy was a veteran of WWII serving in the D-Day invasion in Normandy. He enjoyed gardening and cooking.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, of Mattawamkeag, he is survived by a son, Norman Budge, Jr and his wife Dorothy, of Millinocket Lake; a daughter, Barbara Budge Patterson and her husband, Keith, of Louisiana and Maria Shedd, of Mattawamkeag; an aunt, Dot Young; several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father and mother, he was predeceased by his step-father, Howard McGregor.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Craig officiating. Interment will be in Mattawamkeag Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.

ANITA BURNELL, 81
Old Orchard Beach---Anita Burnell died at a Saco healthcare facility on September 14th, following a brief illness. Anita was born on April 17, 1927 in Caribou, Massachusetts during World War II. They moved to Lincoln and after the war, raised their family there. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lincoln Water District for 28 years.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Butterfield and his wife, Ellen; four grandchildren, Debra Butterfield, Michael Butterfield, Jennifer McInnis and Jo Elaine Dolley; six great-grand-children, Rylee and Florida, Dawna (Butterfield) and her husband, Melvin Voisine, David Butterfield and his fiancé, Norma Polk and Lisa Butterfield all of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Alan Przelomski and his wife, Shannon of Florida, with a fifth great-grandchild (Voisine) due in late spring; three sisters, Phyllis Blood and her husband, George of Lincoln, Norma Colby and her husband, John of Mattawamkeag and Marilyn Dennis of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 48 years, and her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Marcena Tripp and Eldon "Buddy" Tripp.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, at the Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Young officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lincoln United Methodist Church, c/o Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.

LAURA E. BUTTOLI
KINGMAN - Laura E. Buttoli, 79, died May 12, 2008 at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born March 23, 1929 in Warren, the daughter of Frank and Lempi (Yoekla) Erickson. Laura enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting, caring for animals and snow shoeing.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Buttoli of Kingman; a daughter, Laureen Gale Rugen of Portland; a son, George Blastow and his wife Melinda of Rockland; grandchildren, Charlotte, Marianne, Ashlee, Brock, Samara and Aaron; great grandchildren, Sebastian, Gavin and Nicholas; and a sister, Ellen. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Croce; a son in law, Chris Rugen; three brothers Alan, Florida and in Lincoln for more than twenty five years.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth A. "BA" and her husband, Loren Humphrey of Benedicta; two sons, Joseph B. Carmichael and his wife, Dorothy of Bangor, and Greggory D. Carmichael of Durham; a sister, Mona and her husband, Gerald Davis of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a niece, Stephanie Stanley and a nephew, Steve Taylor, both of Lincoln.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family give special thanks to Dr. Blagdon and to the staff at Mountain Heights Health Care .Those who wish may donate in her memory to either the activities fund at Mountain Heights or to Visiting Nurses of Aroostook. Donations may be left at the funeral home.

WILBUR "JOE" JOHN CARRELL
HOWLAND– Wilbur "Joe" John Carrell, 82, went home to be with our Lord on August 26, 2007 from a Howland healthcare facility. He was born in Oakland, September 9, 1924, the son of Wilbur and Annie (Ellis) Carrell. Joe served in Army during WWII, spending his service time in Europe. He graduated from New Brunswick Bible Institute in 1954.
He met his beloved wife of 51 years, Dorothy, and they were married February 9, 1956 in Nigeria, Africa while serving as missionaries with the Sudan Mission. He and Dorothy resided in Carter - South Princeton & Hancock
Winnifred Joy (McLellan) Gordon Carter passed away May 19, 2008 at the home of her daughter, Linda Spencer in Maxfield. She was born September 24,1927 in South Princeton, the daughter of Marshall and Lila (Hunnewell) McLellan.

Winnie spent most of her adult life in the Hancock area caring for various family members and friends. She enjoyed square dancing, with the Frenchman Bay Square Riggers, camping, baking, especially her sugar and molasses cookies, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She was lovingly known not only to family but friends as "Gram". She will be greatly missed by one sister, Eleanor and her husband "Sonny" Wentworth of S. Princeton; one son, Royce and his wife, Debbie Gordon Sr. of Sorrento; six daughters: Wanda and "Buster" Frye of Franklin; Loyce and Brian Trott; Joyce Dollenger of East Orland and Bucksport; Linda and Ralph Spencer Sr. of Maxfield, Vicky and Everett Esp1ing of Hancock, and Carol and "Mike" Leeman of Ellsworth; two step daughters, Gladys and "Butch" Rea Jr of Portland and Jennifer Hobden of Londonderry, NH. 14 grand children: Troy and Jeff Frye; Keith Stanley; Andy Dollenger; Royce Gordon, Jr; Stephanie Spencer Tibbetts, Ralph Spencer Jr, Amy Spencer, Joey Espling, Holly Espling, Kyle and Kameron Amison, Katrina Leeman, Tyler Leeman, and a very special future grandson, Jerry Sawyer; 14 great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, V. Louise Kidder and infant Elizabeth McLellan, both of her husbands, Stanley E. Gordon and Joseph V. Carter, Sr, and one step son, Joseph V. Carter, Jr.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. Wednesday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, Funeral services will be held 11 a.m Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Michael Page officiating. Interment will be in the South Princeton Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a contributions in her memory to Hospice PO Box 208, Lincoln ME 04457.
