ELEANOR (STEEVES) ENOCHS
ENFIELD - Eleanor (Steeves) Enochs passed away peacefully Jan. 20, 2009, at her daughter's home in Lincoln. She was born June 15, 1921, in Lincoln, the daughter of Walter and Villa Steeves. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and then moved to Lewiston to attend hairdressing school. From there, she moved to Portland, where she met her late husband, Donald Enochs. Eleanor devoted her life to her family and raising their four children. She also worked alongside her husband as a bookkeeper at their boat business, and then as owners of Lincoln House Motel for 10 years. She and her husband retired at an early age and split their time between their cottage at Cold Stream and their home in Zephyrhills, Fla.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Enochs; two brothers and a sister, Warren Steeves, Jerome Steeves and Louise Steeves. She is survived by her four children, Bob Enochs of Lincoln, Elaine Enochs of Gorham, Mary Jane Norton of Lincoln and JoAnn Whitten of Portland; her grandchildren, Billy Enochs, Linda Arnold, Donnie Enochs, Brendan Norton and Lily Whitten; and great-grandchildren, Bradley Arnold, Tyler Arnold and Sarah Enochs. She is also survived by brothers, Doug Steeves and his wife, Betty, of Lincoln and Ray Steeves of Thompson and her husband, Christopher, of Carmel, Gail Dorr and her husband, Frank, of Buxton, and Lawrence Foley and his wife, Debbie, of Edinburg; six siblings, Anna Snowman, Eleanor Tidwell, George, Gary, Alton and John Rudge; five grandchildren, Carri Tuulima and her husband, Joe, Angela Foley, Joe Federico, Todd Federico and his wife, Jen, and Justin Dorr; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Foley; a daughter, Janet Foley; three brothers, Anthony, Harold and Henry Rudge; and one sister, Evangeline Jones.
Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Trent Boyd officiating. There will be a time of refreshment immediately after the service at the funeral home. Spring intermenty will be at Grindstone Cemetery. ALICE (BOONE) GILPATRICK, R.N.
WESTON - Alice B. Gilpatrick, R.N., 98, wife of the late Roland Gilpatrick, died Feb 3, 2009, at her home in Weston. She was born Aug. 12, 1910, in North Lake, New Brunswick, the daughter of Charles F. and Pearl (Taylor) Boone. Alice was a registered nurse for 38 years. After her retirement she remained active in nursing, helping people in her surrounding area. Alice worked on the dairy farm with her husband and operated some of the equipment. She was one of the founders of East Grand Health Center and served on the board of directors. She was a member of Danforth Baptist Church and played the organ there for many years. She served on the board of directors of Danforth Residential Center. Alice was a member of Danforth Garden Club, the Knitting Guild, a local area book club, Aroostook Hospital Alumni Association, Houlton Regional Hospital Auxiliary, the school board and the Grange. She was a wonderful neighbor who would stop and visit going to or returning from work. A special thanks goes to all of Alice's caregivers and Dr. Ted Sussman.
She is survived by a foster son, Sheldon Barker of Weston; three grandchildren, Christine McLaughlin, Susan Barker and William Barker; and their mother, Shirley Barker; four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; special friends, Gertrude Bartlett and Mildred Faulkner; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends too numerous to name. In addition to her husband, Roland; and her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Gwen Way and Winifred Smith.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth, and noon- 2 p.m. Friday at Danforth Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Peter Grenier officiating. Friends and family are invited to a gathering after the funeral at First Settlers Lodge, Weston. Spring intermenty will be at Danforth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Association or Danforth Baptist Church. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
MARJORIE E. EMERY
CHESTER - Marjorie E. Emery, 44, wife of Marvin Emery, died of multiple organ failure Jan. 24, 2009, at a Bangor hospital, after a long, courageous battle with liver and kidney disease. She was born June 20, 1964, in Island Falls, the daughter of Woodrow and Mavis (Pond) Sibley. Marjorie was a loving wife and mother. She loved animals, being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and was known for her great sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, Marvin of Chester, she is survived by a son, Gavin Emery of Chester; eight siblings, Constance Glidden of Bristol, Conn., George Sibley and Donna of Lincoln, Berle Nason and Calvin Sr., of Houlton, Robert Sibley and Sandy of Lincoln, Dennis Sibley and Joanne of Sabattus, Glennis Thurlow and Richard of Lincoln, Amy Levesque and Michael of Lincoln and Calvin Nason Jr. and Kelly of Lincoln; 31 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Dana; a sister, Patricia; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Glidden.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. William Bewell officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Liver Foundation or National Kidney Foundation Donations may be left at the funeral home.
LOIS M. HARVEY
BANCROFT - Lois M. Harvey, 76, wife of the late Harlan Harvey and mother of the late Nelson McCormack, passed away March 21, 2009, in Lincoln, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Beth Harvey. She was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Wytopitlock, the daughter of Nelson and Sylvia (Brawn) McCormack. Lois attended Wytopitlock Baptist Church, was an honorary member of Wytopitlock Fish and Game Club, and was a member of the Alpha-Lyra Club. She worked as a nurse's aide at Workman Hospital, Lincoln. She also worked at Forster Manufacturing, Mattawamkeag, and retired from there in 1991 after 20-plus years. Lois loved spending time at her camp on Junior Lake and was happiest when her children and grandchildren were there too.
She is survived by three sons, Frank and Cheryl Harvey of Largo, Fla., James and Shauna Harvey of Wytopitlock and Scott and Beth Harvey of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Sharon McCormack of Wytopitlock; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank McCormack of Alton and Earl and Evelyn McCormack of East Millinocket; many nieces, nephews and friends; and her cat, Missy.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at Drew Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Wytopitlock Fish and Game Club, P.O. Box 23, Wytopitlock, ME 04497.
MARY 'JACKIE' HATCH
HOWLAND - Mary 'Jackie' Hatch 81, wife of the late Charles W. Hatch, passed away Jan. 2, 2008 at her home. She was born, Sept. 21, 1926, in Enfield, the daughter of Joseph and Arlene (Preble) Rollins. Jackie was a long time member of the West Enfield Church of God, and always enjoyed the fellowship she had with the members there.
She is survived by five children, Millard and Cheryl Hatch of Seboeis, Brenda and Orman Jackson of Howland; the Rev. Kevin and Kathy Hatch of Houlton, Anthony and Shari Hatch of Bradley, and Joel Hatch of Howland; two sisters, Harriet Hesseltine of Passadumkeag and Clydie Batchelder of Howland; a special nephew, Michael Senna; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and many special friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Scott Allen Hatch, brothers, Henry Rollins, Anthony Rollins and Orison Rollins; and sisters, Alma Crocker, Josephine Emerson and Joyce Osborne.

CAROLINE MAE TERESA HAYMAN
Burlington - Caroline Mae Teresa Hayman, 77, wife of the late Edward Clare Hayman, died January 16, 2009, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born May 30, 1931, in Norwood, Georgiana LaCivita. Caroline loved lobster, sewing,was a great cook and was well loved by a lot of people. She enjoyed being a member of the LaBelle-Perkins VFW Post 1605 Auxiliary, Burlington. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Hayman, of Providence, Rhode Island and Helen Hayman, of Lowell; six grandchildren, Joseph and his wife, Melissa, Anthony, Lynn Marie, Crystal, Daniel and Alicia; seven great-grandchildren, Joseph, Traymont, Jahzia, Holden, Ciara, Jada and Aleah. In addition to her husband, Edward, she was predeceased by a son, Edward Hayman, Jr.

DIANA (CAMPBELL) HOUSE
LINCOLN - Diana (Campbell) House, loving wife of Thomas House, passed away Jan. 19, 2009, from a brief, courageous battle with lung cancer, with her husband and daughters at her side, at home. She was born Jan. 22, 1944, in Lincoln, to the late Arthur "Dana" and Leona (Theriault) Campbell. Diana was a stay-at-home mom until her girls were in their teens, then she went to work at Colonial Healthcare, where she worked as a dietary aide until her retirement in March 2007. After retiring, she became an active volunteer in KidCare of America at Community Evangel Temple, known to all of her kids as "Grammie Diana with the hand sanitizer." She was also a very active member in her church. She loved her church family. She loved to go to the coast and to the Scotland Highland games with Tom in their camper. She loved her family with all her heart. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband of 30 years, she is survived by her three daughters, Veronica Shorey and her husband, Keith, of Burlington, Theresa Savage and her husband, Brian, and Maria Macalino and her husband, Scott, of Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Heather and April Shorey of Burlington, Brian Jr. and Andrea, Jamie Savage, Christopher Smith, Zachary Savage, Desiree and Danielle Macalino, all of Lincoln; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and little J.R. She was also looking forward to the birth of her third great-grandchild, "baby Jacoby," in May. She also leaves two sisters, Gloria "Jeannie" Garland of Akron, Calif. and his daughter Raegan Harrington; a sister, Iola McLeary of Millinocket; a brother, Dana Hyde of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Ewing.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, with the Rev. Myles Cyr presiding. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to have masses said for Barney.
LUCILLE GRACIA IRELAND
Ireland, Lucille Gracia, 70, of Lincoln, ME. and Largo, FL. passed away peacefully after 23 years with Multiple Sclerosis on Wed. Feb. 27, 2008. Lucy was born in Brownville Junction, ME. She is the daughter of Archie and Ada Farrar. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Calvin. Children: Sherri, Calvin Jr.(Bill) and wife Tina and and son Calvin William III (Billy), Paula and her partner Brian Colbeth, children: Lucy's granddaughter-her Pride and Joy-Farrar Lynn, and her partner Mike Kelley and their children Brayden Charles and Addyson Gracia, and Paula's son Kobe Charles, Roger and Michelle and their children Dustin Roger and Devin Vernon. Stepchildren: David and wife Rose: children David, Randy Jerry, Philip, Mark , and Rebecca, Deb and husband Mike Knights, children Jackie and Jamie, Danny and fiance Angel Torrey, children Mike and Danielle, several great-grandchildren. Lucy was predeceased by her sister Carolyn. Her brothers: Kendall wife Noella, Charles, Leon and Barbie, Vaughn and Cookie, Ralph and Thelma, Bert and Sue, and Walter and Deanna, and her beloved nieces and nephews. Brother in law Murdo McDonald.
Lucy worked for Penquis Cap as a Health Aide; she also drove school bus for MSAD #67 for many years. She was a member of Rainbow as a young girl, and later on a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 112 of Lincoln, ME. Lucy loved life and lived it to the fullest, thoroughly enjoying her friends and family! To know Lucy was to love her and her sharp sense of wit. She was a very outgoing person and never met a stranger who did not become a friend. She loved to play poker and to go to bingo. (She left this world in a whisper, but entered heaven with a shout. And is most likely using her most persuasive gifts to coax the angels into just one more quick game of poker.)
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to make a contribution to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Graveside service will be announced at a later date.
FRANK L. JACOB
WYTOPITLOCK - Frank L. Jacob, 77, husband of Diane (Chambers) Jacob, passed away Jan 27, 2008, at a Houlton hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Prentiss, the son of Roland and Mary Evangeline (Weir) Jacob.
Frank was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War era. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved to read, and liked to go for rides in the car.
In addition to his wife, Diane, he is survived by two children, Bryan Jacob of Wytopitlock and Karla and her husband Calvin Brown of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Kasse Brown (and Patrick Worster) of Lincoln and Joshua Moody of Wytopitlock.

ROGER LEE JARVIS
Mattawamkeag - Roger Lee Jarvis, 26, died November 6, 2007, in Bangor, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born October 14, 1981, in Bangor, the son of Michael Jarvis and Linda Norwood. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father Michael, of Lincoln and his mother Linda, of Florida; two sisters, Heather Wrigley, of New York, and Carolyn Merritt and her husband, William, of Lincoln; a sister-in-law, Barbara Jones, of Bangor; nieces and nephews, Brenda, Brian, Kathy, Ricky, Jim, Sandy-Jo, Steve, Laurie, Mike, Diane and Scott; many cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Jones and Carroll Jones and a sister, Muriel Glidden;
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, November 6, at the Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Fairmount Boarding Home, 8 13th St., Bangor, ME 04401 or a charity of choice.
EUGENE FRANCIS KAILER
Woodville - Eugene Francis Kailer, 77, husband of Dolores (Johnson) Kailer, died June 30, 2008, at New York, Deborah "Debbie" Pilat, of Florida; six grandchildren; best friends, Dana and Nancy Day and their family, of Woodville.
Services will be private. Those who wish may donate, in his memory, to the New York Giants were his team.
He is survived by his brother, Brett Keith; his friend, Gayle Munson; children, Mitchell and Raymond Munson; a half sister, Sharon Perkins of California; a great-niece, Emma; two uncles, Ivan of Presque Isle and Carlton of Kingman; one aunt, Jennie of Bangor; a best live-in friend, Tina Cammack of Mattawamkeag, and her son, Eric; and grandson, Eric Jr.
