GLENN W. ORR, Jr.
MATTAWAMKEAG, MAINE - Glenn W. Orr, Jr., 46, passed away March 29, 2008, at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1961, in Detroit, Maine for a while, and most recently was employed by Terry Michigan, John VandeWater and his wife Sandy of Marietta, Maine.
CARROLL E. OSNOE
Lincoln - Carroll E. Osnoe, 57, husband of Barbara Osnoe, passed away Dec. 9, 2007 at his home. He was born June 30, 1950, in Kingman, the son of Earl and Ester (Lee) Osnoe. Carroll enjoyed the Red Sox, especially their World Series wins and spending time at Jack Lloyd’s store.
In addition to his wife, Barbara Osnoe of Lincoln, he is survived by one step-daughter Valerie (Moore) Ketchem and her husband Jon of Lincoln; two brothers Steve Osnoe and his wife Carol and Stan Osnoe all of Lincoln; four grandchildren Andrew, Gregory, Destiny, and Bradley; two nephews Steve and Joey and one niece Lisa; friend Brian Moore.
At the family request there will be no funeral services. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln.
HELENA BLANCHE PARKER
LINCOLN- Helena Blanche Parker, 93, passed away peacefully at her home April 3, 2008. She was born July 12, 1914 in Millinocket the daughter of John and Martha Ferris. Helena was a member of the St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, an avid Bridge player, and loved to cook for her family.
Helena is survived by her son Carl Maine. Son of Clair and Marion (Roach) Patchell. He was educated in Millinocket Wisconsin, Nichol Cyr of Glenburn. Surviving grandchildren are Amanda Austin and partner Jen, Anthony Cyr and fiance Nikki, Aaron Cyr, Elisha (Cyr) Davis and her husband Wade, Alex Mingo, Sammy Mingo and Jamie Lee, Shawn and James Cyr, Ashley and Hunter Archie. Also survived by two great grandsons Dylan and Tyler Cyr and another great grandson Davis due in January. Surviving sisters Sue (Patchell) Coburn of Brownville Junction and her sons Chuck Coburn of Bath and Jay Coburn of Biddeford. Betty (Patchell) Perry and husband Bill of Brownville Junction and their daughters Wendy and her husband James and their son Micheal of Canaan. Darci Jones and her husband Rusty of Boothbay Harbor.
He is survived by his sisters in law and husbands. Judy and Bert Moody, Audrey and Ronnie Hartley, Betty-Lou Hawkes, Donna Pelkey and friend Gig all of Millinocket and Linda Deveau of Mass. Along with many neices and nephews. Surviving aunts Jean and her husband Earl of CT. Anna Patchell of CT.
He is survived by a special cousin Marjory and her husband Dennis of CT.
He was predeceased by his mother Marion (Roach) Patchell. His first wife Rhonda. Brother in law Jerry Coburn, daughter in law Peggy Cyr.
Committal services will be held Thursday September 20, 2007 at 11 am at the Millinocket Cemetary with Pastor Keith Moody officiating. Followed by a luncheon gathering at 104 Wassau Street Millinocket, ME. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Norma Patchell at 104 Wassau Street Apt. #3 Millinocket, ME 04462. RICHARD I. PEDLEY "RICK"
LINCOLN and MIMS, FLORIDA - Richard I. Pedley, 'Rick,' 51, passed away July 5, 2008, at Florida. Also surviving are his special companion, Linda Smith, of Mims, Indiana and Rachel Wing and her husband, Terry, of Lee; three sisters, Loretta Fogg, of Lincoln, Rita Cesare, of Mechanic Falls and Anita Dow and her husband, Errol, of Perham; two granddaughters; one grandson; four great-granddaughters; many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Wayne Douglas Pelkey.
A service of remembrance to celebrate Reginald’s life will be held 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Cancer Care of Sherman Mills, the son of A. Phil and Estella Perry. He enjoyed the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Orman served in the US Navy for 4 years and retired from Great Northern Paper in 1986, after 31 years. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Osgood) Perry; five children and their families Frank and Deena Perry of TX.; four great-grandchildren Ben, Josh, and Jacob Perry and Jackson McNally. He was predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters.

GRACE R. PETE
LINCOLN - Grace R. Pete, 90, wife of the late Dennis Pete, passed away April 1, 2008, at Colonial Health Care Facility, Lincoln. She was born Jan. 11, 1918, in Lee, the daughter of Ruth (Merrill) Rich and Ray Rich. Grace graduated from Lee Academy and Eastern California, Burton Rich of Lee, and Raymond Rich of Lincoln; a nephew, Richard Rich of Lincoln.
Grace’s family would like to thank everyone at Colonial Health Care for all the support and loving care given to Grace.
Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, later in the spring. In the memory of Grace, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Lincoln.
MERTON G. PETE
LINCOLN - Merton G. Pete, 80 husband of Lillian (Mushero) Pete, passed away April 30, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 3, 1928, in Lincoln, the son of Alfred Thomas "Fred" and Evelyn (Hanscom) Pete. Merton was a World War II veteran of the U S Army. He was employed at the Lincoln pulp & paper mill for 54 years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and watching birds feed.
In addition to his wife, Lillian, he is survived by five children, Merton and Sharon Pete of Caribou, Gayle Munson, Karen Glidden, Fred and Karen Pete and David Pete, all of Lincoln; a brother, Lloyd Pete of Lincoln; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many brothers-in -law and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Shaw officiating. Interment with full military honors, will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
VIRGINIA C. PHELPS
Princeton-Waite - Virginia C. Phelps, 96, passed away July 25, 2008 at a Calais healthcare facility, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 4, 1912 in Waite the daughter of Justus and Grace (Rioux) Rideout.
Virginia’s most enjoyable times were spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and knitting, especially Christmas mittens for all the family.
She is survived by one son Lee Phelps and his wife Margaret of Topsfield; one daughter Helen Dwelley and her companion Earl Bailey of Grand Lake Stream; one daughter-in-law Margaret Phelps of Waite; two sisters Charlotte Renaud and her husband Edward of Waite and Frances Dudley of Bangor; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her husband Donald Phelps; three sons Kenneth, Donald, and Rodney Phelps; two brothers Edmund and Warren Rideout; three sisters Jessie Sutherland, Elise Gould, and Iva Trask.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2008 at Dudley-Phelps Cemetery, Waite. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth.
NANCY LEE PHILLIPS
WOODVILLE - Nancy Lee Phillips, 56, wife of Bryan Phillips, passed away July 8, 2008 at her home. She was born March 30, 1952, the daughter of Bob and Maxine (Gordon) Davis.
She is survived by her mother, Maxine Cobb of Aurora, her husband Bryan of Woodville; children, Leanne Pooler of Milo, Keith Peare of Windham, Brandy Kimball of Medway and Johl Hitchcock of South Portland. She also leaves her loving animals. She was predeceased by and infant daughter, LaBeth.

DOROTHEA PICKERING
LINCOLN - Dorothea Pickering, 80, wife of the late Richard Pickering, passed away Nov 5, 2007, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born Dec 25, 1926, in Bangor the daughter of Lawrence and Tressa (Allen) Blood.
Dot attended Bangor schools. She worked for many years at Bailey’s Drug Store on Main Street in Lincoln and became a Registered Pharmacist through her work there. She and Richard were very close and traveled extensively. She became handicapped about fourteen years ago, and Richard built her a completely handicap accessible home before he died in 1998. She thoroughly enjoyed living in her new home, and her family extends a very special thank you to all the caregivers who cared for Dot over the years. She was a member of the Lincoln Congregational Church, and was very grateful to the church people who were so good to her.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Poore and her husband, David of Florida; a brother, George Blood and his wife Phyllis; a sister-in-law, Dawna DeMarey and a brother-in-law, Philip Pickering, all of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Alice Leavitt.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Those who wish may donate in her memory to The Lincoln Congregational Church. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
DOUGLAS S. POND, Sr.
WEST ENFIELD - Douglas (Doug) S. Pond, Sr., 63, went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with multiple illnesses. Son of Pauline (Hanson) Pond and the late Maurice S. Pond of West Enfield, he was born January 4, 1945 in Lincoln, ME, and was a member of the last graduating class from Howland High School before it was renamed to Penobscot Valley High School in 1964.
Doug was a well-known and loved member of both the Howland and Lincoln communities having spent the majority of his life in the grocery business, most notably as manager of the A&P in Howland and co-owner of the "Red Front" Lincoln Yankee Grocer in the 1970's and early 1980's. Faced with terminal illness at an early age in 1983, he is perhaps more well-known for defying the odds against him time and time again throughout the last 25 years. His courage was an inspiration to many, but none more so than his wife and children. A member of the West Enfield Baptist Church, he was steadfast witness for the Lord, his soft-spoken and heart-felt words touched many lives and his imprint will remain forever.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Brenda J. (Mallory) Pond also of West Enfield; his son, Douglas S. Pond, Jr., of Rockville, MD; his daughter, Bethellen E. (Pond) Gallino of Cape Coral, FL; his mother and two brothers, Pauline Pond, Roger W. Pond and Stuart A. Pond of West Enfield; several nieces and nephews as well as extended family in the greater Howland, West Enfield, Enfield, Lincoln and Down East Maine Medical Center.
