Adrienne E. Brunelle
Adrienne E. Brunelle, 95, of Biddeford died Tuesday evening at her home after a long illness. She was born in Berlin, N.H. in 1927. On May 26, 1934 she married Arthur Brunelle in St. Andre’s Church. Mr. Brunelle died June 30, 1996.
Mrs. Brunelle worked 30 years with the Pepperell Mfg. Co., Bates Mfg. Co & Biddeford Texile Corp. retiring in 1977. She maintained a large vegetable garden and canned all her produce. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, tatting, crocheting & embroidering.
An active member of St. Joseph’s Church, she baked for church fairs, made tens of thousands of rosaries and scapulas distributing them locally and to foreign missions.
Surviving are: Two sons, Fr. Richard P. Brunelle, a.a. of Arusha, Tanzania, Africa and Jacques A. Brunelle and his wife Helen of Franklin, Mass.; four daughters, Claire C. Brunelle of Biddeford, C. Anne-Marie Brunelle of Biddeford, Therese D. Lessard and her husband Donald of Biddeford, Cecile M. Petrin and her husband Raoul of Somersworth, Maine. Together they raised four children.
Rupert was a hard worker and a successful businessman. He and his family resided in Montreal where he worked in the family business, Davis Steel Company. In late 1950, he and his family moved to Cleveland, Maine, where they put down permanent roots. During his life in Florida with his wife.
As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the last 30 years, Rupert believed that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. He believed in God’s promises that the dead will be raised to life again in a paradise earth.
Rupert was predeceased by his daughter, Audrey; his brothers, Donald and Victor; and his sister, Phyllis. He is survived by his wife, Verona (Von) of Old Orchard Beach; his brother Ross and his wife Dorothy of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; three sons, Glenn of Lyman, Scott and his wife Sylvie of Bethany, Conn., Robert and his wife Colleen of Cape Elizabeth; three grandsons, Luke and his wife Holly of Naugatuck, Conn., Dylan and Devyn of Bethany, Conn; two granddaughters, Amy Earley and her husband Craig of Saco, Derek of Bethany, Conn.; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Trevor, Bryce and Contessa of Naugatuck, Conn. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Angelo “Rudy” D’Uva
Angelo “Rudy” D’Uva, 74, of Kennebunk, died Sunday, April 1 at Southern New Jersey, retiring in 1990.
Mr. D’Uva was a member and Post Commander of the V.F.W. No. 6548 in Kennebunk. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly No. 2327 in Limerick, the 3rd Degree Council No. 7078 in Lyman and was a former member of the Italian Heritage Society of Portland. Angelo played the clarinet, was an avid Yankee fan and active church member. He was a Little League coach in New Hampshire.
He was born in Eagle Lake, on September 23, 1925, a son of Willie and Victoria Saucier Jalbert. Alberie attended Eagle Lake Schools before moving to Biddeford.
Mr. Jalbert was employed at Saco Lowell Shops for several years before moving to Bristol N.H.; four brothers, Eddie Jalbert of Bristol, Conn., Gideon Jalbert of Plant City, Fla., Gilman Jalbert of Biddeford, and Raynold Jalbert of Saco; three sisters, Lauria Morneault of Broadbrook, Conn., Velma Pelletier of Lakeland, Fla., and Carole Martin of Biddeford, and one grandchild, Amie Romano.
Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
Marie Rose Michelson
Marie Rose Michelson, 82, of Biddeford, died Monday, April 2 at the Southridge Living Center. She was born in Biddeford on Nov. 11, 1924, a daughter of Pierre and Marie Rose (Descoteaux) Gagne and attended local Biddeford schools.
Marie was married to the late Robert J. Michelson. After moving to Maine.
Marie was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting and was a great cook. She particularly enjoyed her trips to Ireland.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert J. Michelson, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: Two sons, Peter Dugay and his wife Mary of Derry, Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born in Green ville, S.C. on Dec. 22, 1957, the daughter of Theodore and Jacqueline Northway. Darby spent her childhood summers in Old Orchard Beach and moved to New Hampshire where she was currently working towards her Doctorate.
Darby worked as a Health Care Administrator at several area Nursing Homes until accepting her current position as the Administrative Director of the Division on Aging/Maturecare at the University of New England in the late 90’s. She was the president of the Maine Medical Center, which she warmly referred to as the “spa”.

Raymond Pruneau
Raymond Pruneau, 82, of old Orchard Beach, died unexpectedly Monday, March 26, 2007 at his home. He was born July 9, 1924 in Biddeford a son of Elzeard and Rosilda Dorval Pruneau and was educated at St. Andre’s school.
He served in the United States Army during WWII. He toured Japan, Okinawa, the South Pacific Islands and the Philippines with the Army.
Returning from the War he married Muriel Maurice on Nov. 6, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Church. During his working life he was employed 22 years at Pepperell Mfg. Co., 12 years in the Saco Tannery, and 2 years at Morningstar in Kennebunk retiring in 1987. In his retirement he worked at the Journal Tribune until 2000.
Mr. Pruneau was a resident of Arundel for 53 years where he and his wife raised their children. His interests included mechanics, carpentry and farming. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling. He will always be remembered as “Pepere with the white hair” by his great grandchildren.
Mr. Pruneau was pre-deceased by his wife Muriel on January 28, 1998 and also by a sister Laurette Sanfacon.
Surviving are: Two daughters, Doris Binette and her husband John of Biddeford and Lillian Lapoint and her husband Albert of Saco; two sons, Maurice Pruneau and his wife Gloria of Newport News, Va. And Ralph Pruneau and his wife Judy of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; one sister Blanche Ryan of Saco; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Kenneth H. Williams
Kenneth (Bumpy) H. Williams, age 83, of Guinea Rd, Biddeford died Monday March 26, 2007 at the Southern N.H. the son of Prent and Ethel Hurd Williams.
Ken attended local schools and served with the US Army during World War II. He served in five major battles including the Battle of the Bulge.
After the War he worked for Hannaford’s as a salesman and later for Bagley’s IGA in Saco. Mr. Williams worked as a carpenter for more than 30 years and retired at the age of 65, then he was a custodian for the Biddeford Schools until December of 2006.
Ken was affectionately known as “Bumpy” by all and he enjoyed the outdoors, helping others and working around his house.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 65 years Florence”Betty” Williams of Biddeford, one daughter Claudia Cantara of Biddeford, two granddaughters Karen Spires of Atkinson, N.H.; five nephews, Hazen Carpenter of Springvale, Wayne Burbank of Kennebunkport, Barry Burbank of North Andover, Mass., Roy Waddington of Dayton and Carroll Lord of Alfred.
Arrangements were through the Carll-Heald and Black Funeral Home, Springvale.
Linwood A. Moulton III
Linwood A. Moulton III, 48, of Alfred, died September 22, 2006.
He was born on April 28, 1958, a son of Linwood A. and Winifred McElroy Moulton Jr. He grew up in Alfred, and graduated from Massabesic High School in 1976 as valedictorian of his class. He joined the U.S. Navy after graduating, and was honorably discharged in 1982.
He was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 25 years, first as a marine electrician, then a lead person, and finally as an engineering technician.
Mr. Moulton is survived by his wife of 20 years, Laurie Moulton of Alfred; a daughter, Vicki L. Richards of Arundel; a son, Gary S. Richards of Waterboro; two granddaughters, Haley and Taylor; his mother, Winifred Moulton of Alfred; three brothers, Paul Moulton of Staten Island, Long Island, N.H. and Jean E. Mooers of Alfred; several in-laws; an aunt; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements were by the Autumn Green Funeral Home, Alfred.
Milton L. Daney
Milton L. Daney, 91, of Waterboro, died September 24, 2006.
He was born in Alfred on December 20, 1914, a son of Frank A and Elsie Scott Daney. He attended Alfred schools.
He worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He later owned and operated M. L. Daney Excavating. He also served as postmaster for the Waterboro post office until he retired in 1979.
He was a 60-year member of the Brown Emmons Post No. 134 American Legion in Alfred, a 55-year member of the Fraternal Masonic Lodge in Alfred, a 59-year member of the Waterboro Grange, a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, a longtime member of the E. Waterboro Odd Fellows Lodge and a longtime member of the Waterboro Fire Department. He also served on various town committees in Waterboro. He was also an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Daney was predeceased by a son, Nelson Daney and a brother, Raymond Daney.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris G. Laskey Daney of Sanford; three daughters, Carol A. MacDonald of Wilmot, North Carolina and Mike Hussey of Alfred. Arrangements were by Lafrance-Lambert and Black Funeral Home, Sanford.
Grace (Michele) Landry
Grace Michele Landry, 84, of Springvale, died October 19, 2006.
She was born in Rollingford, New Hampshire. She worked for the Sanford School system for many years as a secretary of the middle school, retiring in 1982.
Mrs. Landry was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, John Landry, and by her step-son, Robert Landry.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Landry Dewitz of Alfred and Jane Landry of Shapleigh; four grandchildren; special friends, Michele Fryer of Newport, R.I., and Sammie and Derek Redd of Portsmouth, Maine, the son of Alphy and Dorothy Sweeney.
He was an Army veteran, who proudly served his country from 1965-1967. After his service, Ron worked for H.E. Carpenter as a Mason. In 1973, Ron began his 32-year career with Central N.H., Elaine Needham of Dover, N.H.; and a brother, Richard Sweeney of Springvale. He also is survived by nine grandchildren.
Ronald was very active as a member of the Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church in Springvale. At the family’s request, there will be no formal services, however, if desired, memorial donations may be made to the Gleaners, care of the Pleasant Street Free Baptist Church at 6-10 Pleasant Street, Springvale, Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough
He was born in Portland, a son of John and Margaret Foley McGeehan, attended South Portland schools and graduated in 1939 from South Portland High School, where he was a member of the football team.
He enlisted in the Army and served with the 26th Cavalry Armored Division during World War II, fighting in France and Germany.
He attended Holy Cross and St. John the Evangelist churches, and lived in South Portland for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Olga Maine, died Nov. 13, in Pensacola, Fla. after a brief illness.
He was born in Portland, Maine.
He is survived by his parents; a grandmother, Anna L.C. Dennison of Maine; two brothers, John and Darrel Dennison, both of South Portland; and a sister, Dannet Langley of South Portland.
George W. Hopkins
George W. Hopkins, 74, of Campion Road in Cape Elizabeth, died Nov. 17, at a Portland hospital.
He was born in Portland, a son of Lawrence E. and Almira Chambers Hopkins, and attended local schools.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Karsowski Hopkins; four daughters,
Patricia Hopkins of South Portland, Kathleen Fasulo of Windham, Debra Beeler of Raymond and Julianne Gagne of Otisfield; a son, Richard of North Yarmouth; and nine grandchildren.
Burial was in New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
Patricia Ruth Stewart Karst
Patricia Ruth Stewart Karst, 66, died Nov. 15, at Powell Hospital in Maine, a daughter of Herbert F. and Ruth McMillan Stewart, and attended South Portland schools.
They were married Raymond E. Karst on June 13, 1953.
They moved to Sacramento, Wyoming, where they started to farm on Heart Mountain.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanita Bradish and Ruth Thompson, both of Powell; a son, Ray Karst Jr. of Fernley, Nev.; a sister, Hazel St. Cyr of South Portland; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Fernande O'Donnell
Fernande O'Donnell, 90, of Rocky Hill Manor, formerly of South Portland, died Nov. 21, at Seaside Nursing Home in Portland.
She was born in Waterville, a daughter of Joseph and Adeline Poulin Giroux, and attended Waterville schools.
She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in South Portland.
Her husband, Charles O'Donnell, died in 1964.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan White of South Portland and Diane Anderson of Swampscott, Mass.; a brother, Fernando Giroux of Waterville; two sisters, Gabrielle Gorski of Armonk, Texas.
Burial was in Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
