Bernard L. Quinlan
NORTH HAMPTON - Bernard L. Quinlan, 71, of 17 Juniper Road, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at the Seacoast Health Center in Hampton.
Born March 10, 1928, in Lawrence, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Carroll) Quinlan. Raised in Lawrence, he was a 1945 graduate of Lawrence High School. He lived in North Hampton for seven years, coming from Northborough, Mass. and Salisbury, Mass.
Mr. Quinlan had worked for most of his life as a machinist and had owned and operated the former Union Machining and Manufacturing Company of Worcester, Mass. He also worked many years as a general foreman at the former Raytheon facility in Lowell, Mass.
He was the husband of Arlene M. (Morris) Quinlan of North Hampton for 51 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael O. Quinlan of Hollis, N.H.; a daughter, CaroleAnn Quinlan of Hampton; two grandsons, Evan and Thomas Quinlan of Hollis; a brother, Paul Quinlan of Salisbury, Mass.; three sisters, Catherine Chadwick of Kittery, Maine, Marguerite Cosman of Andover, Mass and Cornelia Monroe of Manchester, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
Francis J. Haggerty
WALTHAM, Mass. - Francis J. Haggerty, 87, formerly of Hampton, N.H., died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at Maristhill Nursing Home.
Born in Adams, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Mary (McGrath) Haggerty. He lived in Waltham from 1946 to 1978 before moving to Hampton. Mr. Haggerty was a civil engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers for many years, where he was the director of the New England Flood Control Division. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 35 in Hampton, a member of the Hampton Senior Citizens Club and of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
He was the husband of Mildred (Center) Haggerty.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Brian F. Haggerty of Waltham, Robert S. Haggerty of Medfield and John K. Haggerty of Putnam, Vt.; three daughters, Ann M. DeGrappo of Maynard, Mass., Patricia E. Duffy of Waltham and Maureen F. DiSilva of Lexington, Mass.; a stepson, Denis Drobinski of Portland, Maine; two stepdaughters, Lynda Worcester of Northwood, N.H. and Denissa Drobinski of Stratham, N.H.; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jennie L. Shaw
NORTH HAMPTON - Jennie L. (Brooks) Shaw, 88, of 249 Atlantic Ave., died THursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Born March 13, 1911, in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of Louis L. Brooks and Alice B. (Gillis) Brooks.
The widow of Harold M. Shaw, she resided in Belmont, Mass. until moving to North Hampton in 1966. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in North Hampton and belonged to the Ladies Union and the North Hampton Woman's Club.
For many years she wintered in St. Augustine, Fla., where she attended the Memorial Presbyterian Church and belonged to Circle 2 of the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Shaw worked with her husband in their printing business in Arlington, Mass. and in North Hampton until Mr. Shaw's death in 1979.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Ronald L. Brooks of Concord, Mass, who died in 1981; and two sisters, Marion A. Wilson of Seabrook, N.H., who died in 1987 and Frances O. Klorer of Winchester, Mass. who died in 1991.
She is survived by a daughter, A. Lorraine Blake; a son-in-law, Roland L. Blake; and a granddaughter, Holly J. Blake, all of Stratham, N.H.; two sisters, Audrey (Bobbie) Holt and Clare Chase; a brother-in-law, Milton Holt, all of Lexington, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice H. Desilets
PORTSMOUTH - Bernice H. (Blake) Desilets, 83, of 346 Pleasant St., and formerly of Clinton St., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999 at the Mark H. Wentworth Home.
Born Oct. 5, 1916, in Templeton, Mass., she was daughter of the late Charles and Harriett (Richardson) Blake.
She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Portsmouth and was formerly employed by the former Colonial Laundry in Portsmouth.
She is survived by three sons, Paul M. Desilets of Napa, Calif., Roger C. Desilets of Virginia and Minnesota, and Raymond N. Desilets of North Hampton, N.H.; two daughters, Arline B. Frain of Lebanon, Tenn. and Sandra L. Singmaster of Portsmouth; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul M.L. Desilets.
Harriet A. Harris
HAMPTON BEACH - Harriet Alicia (Collis) Harris, 87, of 25 Tuttle Ave., died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at her home after a lengthy period of illness.
Born June 21, 1912, in Salisbury, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Susan (Lamprey) Collis. She was a graduate of Amesbury (Mass.) High School and Burdett Junior College.
She moved to Hampton Beach in 1935 with her husband. They opened Harris Real Estate, which they ran until 1968.
In the 1950s, they built the Harris Sea Ranch Motel, which they operated until 1975. In the 1960s, they developed Harris Acres, a single-family development by the Hampton River.
In her retirement, she continued to work summers at her daughter's business, the Go-Go Putt Miniature Golf Course, until she was 82, when poor health forced her to retire entirely.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church, a former member of the Hampton Monday Club, and Order of Eastern Star.
She was the wife of the late Ralph T. Harris, who died in 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy A. Preston of Hampton Beach; nine grandchildren, Mark and Jennifer Brown, Gregory and Peter Harris, formerly of Hanover, N.H., Richard and Alicia Preston, formerly of Hampton Beach, Jason Harris, and William and Gregory Kneeland, of Scottsdale, Ariz; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Harris of Virginia; two brothers, Stanley Collis of Wexford, Pa., and Albert Collis of Rowley, Mass.
She was predeceased by a son, Ralph E. Harris, who died in 1980; a sister, Mildred Riley; and two brothers, Sidney and Lesley Collis.
Margaret Filocamo
HAMPTON - Margaret Filocamo, 100, of 24 Fairfield Drive, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Exeter Healthcare.
Born Oct. 31, 1899, in Messina, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Martino and Josephine (Bellere) Pellegrino. She came to the United States at age 5 and resided in Boston before coming to Hampton in 1950.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church.
She was the wife of the late Peter Filocamo, who died in 1989.
Survivors include four sons, Andrew J. Filocamo of Jensen Beach, Fla., Martin J. Filogamo of Texarkana, Ark., Peter P. Filocamo of Methuen, Mass., and John P. Filocamo of Hampton; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. The Rev. Michael J. Griffin, senior priest, was the celebrant. Nelson K. Ward was the organist, and Edward Baker was soloist. Acolytes were Edward Schreier, Rodolphe Begin and Robert Grissemeer. The pall was extended over the casket by Michael O. Quinlan and CaroleAnn Quinlan. A crucifix was placed on the casket by Thomas Quinlan. The readings were offered by William Carroll and Evan Quinlan. The gifts were presented to the altar by Evan and Thomas Quinlan. Words of remembrance were offered Michael O. Quinlan.
Harriet A. Harris
HAMPTON - The funeral for Harriet Alicia Harris, 87, of 25 Tuttle Ave., was held Wednesday from the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home.
Services were conducted at the First Congregational Church. The Rev. Deborah Knowlton, pastor, officiated.
Jean Goss was organist and Patricia Mackensen was soloist.
Readings were offered by Mark Harris and Jennifer Harris Brown and words of remembrance were offered by Alicia and Richard Preston, all grandchildren of the deceased.
Burial was in the High Street Cemetery with the committal service conducted by the Rev. Knowlton.
Pallbearers were Gregory Harris, Peter Harris, Timothy Mack, Chip Brown, Gregory Kneeland and Thomas Higgins.

HAMPTON - The funeral for Margaret Filocamo, 100, of 24 Fairfield Drive, was held Wednesday at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. The Rev. Michael J. Griffin, senior priest, was the celebrant.
Nelson K. Ward was organist. Acolytes were Paul Sullivan, Rodolphe Begin and George Brown.
The readings were offered by Sister Theresa Malouin C.S.C. and Sister Doris Oullette C.S.C, who also offered the eulogy.
The gifts were presented to the altar by the deceased's granddaughters and words of remembrance were offered by one granddaughter.
Burial was in High Street Cemetery. The committal service was conducted by the Rev. Fr. Griffin.
Pallbearers were Drew Filocamo, Gary Filocamo, Scott Nelson, Michael Casey, Peter Filocamo and Chris Brewer.
Thomas P. Segerson
WILMOT - Thomas P. Segerson, 71, of Old English Hill, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999.
Born April 24, 1928, in Oak Park, Ill., he was the son of Christopher and Rose (Selinger) Segerson. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and was an attorney with General Electric.
He Segerson had resided in Wilmot for the past 12 years, having previously lived in Chagrin Falls, Ohio for 10 years and in Easton, Conn. for 10 years.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Potter Place, N.H..
He was an accomplished woodworker.
He was the husband of Deirdre (Lagen) Segerson for 47 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children, Christine Horrigan of Litchfield, Conn., Timothy Segerson of Roxbury, Conn., Kathleen Segerson of Marlboro, Conn., Moya Joosten of Stratham, N.H., John Segerson of Trumbull, Conn., Deirdre Segerson of Bethel, Conn., Thomas Segerson of Danbury, Conn, Stephen Segerson of Wilton, Conn., and James Segerson of Boston; 14 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Richard W. Bradley
YORK HARBOR - The Rev. Richard W. Bradley, Order of Carmelite, 67, of 18 Starboard Lane, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999 at York Hospital.
Born Feb. 8, 1932, in Boston, he was the son of Raymond F. and Mary (Kerrigan) Bradley. He was a graduate of the Carmelite Seminary in Hamilton, Mass., of the St. Bonaventure College of Niagara, Canada and of the Catholic University of Washington, D.C. He later completed a one-year sabbatical at Cambridge Theological School in Cambridge, Mass.
He had served as a priest for 38 years, retiring in 1996 and moving to York Harbor.
The Rev. Fr. Bradley was a member of the Society of Mount Carmel of Darien, Ill. He had been a rector at the Carmelite Chapel of St. Theresa Church in Paramus, N.J. for 10 years. He had also served parishes in Kentucky, Kansas, Texas and New Jersey.
Survivors include two sisters, Anne Marie Gaziano of York Harbor and Jane Bradley of York; two nieces; and one nephew. Harriet A. Harris
