Beyett, age 61 years, passed away Thursday, February 4, 1999, at Bay Medical Center following a long illness. He was born on July 15, 1937 to Joseph L. and Cecelia (Dezewiecki) Beyett in Caro, Michigan Formerly of Bay City and Detroit, Carter Michigan
Mrs. Matuszewski, died Saturday morning, February 6, 1999 at the Bay Medical Center, age 56 years. Nancy Weaver was born January 14, 1943 in Bay City and has lived here most of her life. She married James S. Matuszewski, November 14, 1964 in St. Annes Church of Linwood, he survives her. Mrs. Matuszewski enjoyed camping and fishing. Surviving besides her husband, Jim; she leaves two daughters: Dawn (Christopher) Paluck and Nicole (Dennis) Fasel; three grandchildren: Candace and Alexander Paluck; Kayla Fasel; her mother, Rita Weaver; one sister and one brother, Sandra (Robert) Rabadue; Jim F. (Marcia) Weaver Jr. She was predeceased by her father, Francis Weaver. Funeral and Committal Service will take place Tuesday, February 9, 1999 at 11 AM from the Ambrose Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Justina P. Lewis, age 83 years, died Sunday morning, February 7, 1999 in Bay Special Care Center. She was born to the late Joseph and Maude (Oliver) Sutton on July 3, 1915 in Midland. Justina worked at Lufkin Rule in Saginaw and was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing and crocheting. Survivors include two daughters: Donna (Joseph) Badour of Essexville and Verna (Werner) Jung of Wisconsin, Harry (Nancy) Lewis of Bay City, Delores Sochacki of Bay City, and Jeanette (Burrell) McShane of Bay City; 32 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Roeder, her late husband, Harry Lewis, daughter, Ida Straub, stepdaughter and her husband, Barbara and Edmund Wachowski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, February 10, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Justina will lie in state in church Wednesday after 9:00 A.M. Rev. Barney Janowicz will preside. The Vigil Wake Service will be Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. in the Trahan Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association. Ursula Catherine Reou, age 60 years, died Saturday evening, February 6, 1999 in Bay Special Care Center. She was born to Joseph and Mabel (Tackman) Schaefer on February 5, 1939 in Bay City. Ursula was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Essexville, and its Altar Society. On October 20, 1956 she married James C. Reou, and he survives her, along with their nine children, Mary Sutton of Rogers, Arkansas, Jim (Robin) Reou of Saginaw, Sue (Tom) Wagner of Kawkawlin, Debbie Gwisdala of Bay City, Lynne (Mike) Gerulski of Oscoda, Bob (Colleen) Reou of Essexville, Theresa (Buck) Sova of Saginaw, David (Tammy Brozewski) Reou of Bay City, and Amy Reou of Essexville; 19 grandchildren, Shawn, Jenny , Ryan, Ashley, Adam, Nicole, Jessica, Cassie, Tabitha, Cory, Amanda, William, Kevin, Sarah, Emily, Melissa, Brian, Danielle, and Morgan; one great granddaughter, Whitney; four sisters and four brothers, Cecelia (Armond) Beiser, Alice (Ed) Geiersbach, Luella (Dick) Walther, Shirley Schaefer, Harm (Sandy) Schaefer, Bert (Ginny) Schaefer, Gene (Pam) Schaefer, and Fred (Madeline) Schaefer; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Joe (Lila) Reou, Len (Gloria) Reou, Jerry (Bev) Reou, Betty Murphy, and Rosemary Militello.
