Mr. Trapp passed away Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. Age 88 years. He was born August 28, 1910 in Milbank, South Dakota and came to the Bay City area in the 1930s. He was a charter member and former officer of the I.B.E.W. Local #692 in Bay City. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe. He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Gloria King of Marshall, MI and Mona and Alvin Bennett of Zion, IL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Orlin Trapp of Apotos, CA, Ivon Trapp of Klamath Falls, OR and Arvel Trapp of Milbank, SD; two sisters, Carol Blackburn of Branson, MO and Marcella Montgomery of Albuquerque, NM. He was predeceased by his first wife, Beulah Smith in 1969 and his second wife, Bertha Stegman Pickard in 1992. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Sunday, February 28, 1999 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth L. Hoard under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Private entombment will take place in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services. Mrs. Luptowski died early Thursday afternoon, February 25, 1999 at Bay Medical Center, age 92 years. The daughter of the late Stephen and Anastasia (Mikolajczak) Pietryga was born August 25, 1906 in Bay City where she has been a lifelong resident. She was married to Edmund W. Luptowski in St. Hyacinth Church on June 4, 1928, he predeceased her on September 20, 1985. Mrs. Luptowski was a member of St. Stanislaus Church; Rosary-Altar Society; St. Stan's Senior Citizens; Legion of Mary; and League of Catholic Women & Men. Surviving are her children and their spouses: Clarence E. and Jeanette Luptowski and Thomas S. and Ruth Luptowski, all of Bay City, Edmund J. and Dawn Luptowski of Scottsdale, AZ and Rita Ann and Charles Richards of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren: Michelle, Timothy, Shawn, Lynn Ann, Jennifer and Melissa; and nine great-grandchildren. Also a sister, Mary Pietryga of Bay City and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters: John, Walter, Joseph, Leo and Casimer Pietryga, Verna Kowalski, Anne Wieszczecinski and Frances Lobodzinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. Monday, March 1, 1999 at St. Stanislaus Church by Rev. Fr. William J. Rutkowski with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Members of St. Stan's Senior Citizens and the Rosary-Altar Society will pray the Rosary at 2:00 P.M. Sunday followed by a Parish Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Krause passed away late Friday afternoon, February 26, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. Age 74 years. The daughter of the late Oren and Anna Mary (McTaggart) Lusher was born February 26, 1925 in Bay City. She was the Co- Owner of the former Krause City Dairy Store on Salzburg and more recently was a seamstress. She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1943. She was a member of Ladies of the Moose Lodge and the American Business Women's Association for 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Dale J. Krause whom she married on September 9, 1944 and recently celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary. She is also survived by two sons, Ronald (Nancy) Krause of Bay City, MI and Richard Krause of Cadillac, MI; one daughter, Patricia (John) Schommer of Waukesha, WI; five grandchildren: Randolph and Robert Krause, Kimberly and Connie Steger and Tara Leigh Krause; one brother, Frank (Evelyn) Lusher of Essexville, MI; two sisters: Deloris (Clete) Paine of Zepherhills, FL and Nancy Kiesel of Essexville, MI; several nieces and nephews; a lifelong friend Wilma (Charles) Mullen of Paduka, KY. Mrs. Machelski died Thursday afternoon, April 29, 1999 at The Carriage House of Bay City. Age 93 years. Lydia Reisig was born May 23, 1905 in the German Province of Russia. She was married Edmund Machelski, he predeceased her on February 15, 1980. Lydia owned and operated the former Lillian's Beauty Shop on Garfield Ave. for 65 years, where she loved working. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Surviving are a brother and a sister Reinhold (Helen) Reisig of Saginaw, Caroline Haag of Bay City; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents David and Mary (Kraft) Reisig; and five sisters and two brothers. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, 1999 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Mrs. Diaz, age 63 years, entered into heaven on April 30, 1999 after a courage battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who enjoyed yard work in the sun, gambling at the casinos, rummage sales and spending quality time with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph J. Diaz II, as well as six children: Joseph J. Diaz III of Germany, Dawn (Ed) Geno of Bay City, Peggy (Mike) Riblett of N. Carolina, Lynn Diaz, Jackie Diaz and Dione (Art) Irish, all of Bay City; nine grandchildren: Curtis (Kim) Diaz, Angela Diaz, Joseph Diaz IV, Ryan Geno, Eddie Geno, Nicole Geno, Michael Riblett, Colleen Riblett and Sean Irish; a great-grandson C.J. Diaz, a special niece Barb Davidson, and her siblings: Robert (Penny) Davidson, John (Betty) Davidson, Richard (Phil) Davidson, Julie (Ed) Verhaeghe and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Pearl Davidson and three siblings: Gertrude Weiler, Ann Cole and Dorothy Davidson. Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Fr. Raymond S. Fron will preside. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Patrick Mausoleum. The Vigil Prayer Service will be Monday at 7 PM.
