Mrs. M. Frances Madden passed away May 7, 1999 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, MI, at age 81 years. She was born March 22, 1918 in Davies County, Michigan
Mrs. Huizar, age 77, passed away Saturday, May 8, 1999 at her residence with her loving and caring family at her side. She was born in Saltillo, Mexico on March 25, 1922 to the late Nieves and Elena (Guerrero) Navarro. She was a lifelong resident of the Pinconning area and a member of St. Agnes Church. She is survived by her children: Joe (Judy) Huizar of Pinconning, Seferino Huizar of Pinconning, Ramon Huizar of Colorado, Elena (Jesse Jr.) Ramirez of Pinconning, Diana (Pedro) Rivera of Lansing, Juanita Huizar of Pinconning, Maria (James) Monroe of Denver, Grace (Santos) Rodriguez of Bay City; 49 grandchildren; 48 great- grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Olvia Huizar of Bay City; brothers and sisters: Raul Navarro, Gerardo Navarro, Minevra Hernandez, Maria Luna and Guadalupe Navarro, all of Mexico. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond in 1971, two sons: Jose (Raul) and Francisco Huizar and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Huizar, all in 1994, and a granddaughter, Lori Huizar. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at 11 A.M. from St. Agnes Church with Rev. Fr. Ramon Matuszewski presiding with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Monday from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M. and Tuesday from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. The Guadalupanos will say the Rosary at 7 P.M. tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Kowalski passed away Sunday morning, May 9, 1999 at his home. Age 81 years. The son of the late Stanley "Charlie" and Lottie (Przybylski) Kowalski was born January 6, 1918 in Bay City where he has lived for all of his life. He married the former Martha A. Laskowski on November 27, 1946 in St. Hyacinth Church, she survives him. Mr. Kowalski served with the U.S. Army during WWII, and had worked at Kuhlman Electric Co. and later retired from the Bay City Chevrolet Plant. He played with the first American Hockey League in Bay City and was also a baseball player, an avid golfer, swimmer, roller blader and cross country skier. Mr. Kowalski was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and League of Catholic Women and Men. Surviving besides his wife, Martha, he was a hero to his daughters: Vickie and Doug Keller, Gloria and Bill Gillard, Elaine Kowalski and friend Pat Foy, all of Bay City and Shirley and Jaime Johnson of Birch Run. Also five grandchildren: Scott, Brandon, Cassondra, Alicia and Sharayah and a brother and a sister, Lawrence (Florence) Kowalski of Bay City and Isabelle Jaworski of Alger; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Justin "B.J." Gillard and four brothers: Ignatius, Floyd, Raymond and Marion Kowalski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Gerald F. Kukla with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will take place at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Bay Area, American Cancer Society or St. Hyacinth Parish. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 P.M., on Tuesday from 2-8 P.M. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral mass. Mr. Fuerst, formerly of Whittemore, died Sunday, May 9, 1999 at Brian's House Care Center in Essexville, age 88. He was born September 3, 1910 in Whittemore. Mr. Fuerst was a member of the Whittemore United Methodist Church and the Whittemore Masonic Lodge. He was a retired supervisor at National Gypsum Company. Surviving are two daughters: Jane (Jerry) Koehn of Oscoda and Jean (Hubert) Harrow of Pinconning; six grandchildren: Jeff (Mona) Koehn, Janell (Drew) Frakes, Julie (Tim) Kaminski, Jason (Vicky) Koehn, Carla (Chad) Niswander and Caryn Harrow; seven great- grandchildren: Jeremiah, Heather, Justin, Courtney, Whitney, Joshua and Calub; and two sisters: Alberta Doty of Tawas City and Ella Parks of Irving, Michigan

Bay City, TX and resided in Bay City most of his life. Robert was employed with Dow Chemical Company, Midland for twenty-five years. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Men's Softball Association. Surviving family members include his wife, Sandy; three children: Jennifer Ann, Tiffany Marie and Robert Juan Torres; his mother, Ester Torres of Bay City; three brothers: John (Christina) Torres of Bay City, George Torres of Coldwater, and Albert (Mary) Torres of Denver, CO; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Raul and Valentine Torres. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, May 13, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Gymnasium (due to remodeling at the church). Robert will lie in state in the gymnasium on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. Rev. Raymond S. Fron will preside and intermenty will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Vigil Wake Service will be Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. in the funeral chapel. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M.; Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. and 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. at the W. A.
