Our beloved son and brother has gone to be our heavenly angel. David died suddenly from injuries due to an auto accident on May 19, 1999 at the age of 16 years. He was born in Bay City on August 24, 1982. David loved hunting and riding his quad. He loved and protected his friends unconditionally. He is survived by his parents, Allen and Johanna Fox; two sisters: Jamie Fox and fiance, Kurt Lantz and Katie Fox and fiance, Sean Burnham; his grandparents: Thomas (Loraine) Witzke and Ruth Witzke and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Kenneth Fox. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Penzien & Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl F. Trosien will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to B.A.S.I.S. LeFevre, Lawrence J.
Bay City, Michigan
Lawrence J. LeFevre, age 74 years, died Tuesday evening, May 18, 1999 in Bay Medical Center following complications from a heart attack in the past couple weeks. He was born to Lawrence S. and Marie H. (Prindiville) LeFevre on April 2, 1925 in Bay City, where he resided all his life. Larry was a veteran of WWII, serving our country in the U.S. Army from June 23, 1943 to January 15, 1946. He was an electrical contractor, and before his retirement, he owned and operated L & R Electric, Inc. He was a member of the Michigan Chapter of N.E.C.A., where he previously served as it treasurer, vice-president, president and governor and was also a member of the Union Local #692. Larry was a former member of Holy Trinity Parish. He was married to Rosemary Kirchman, who preceded him in death on December 10, 1970. Surviving family members include six children: Nanette LeFevre and her husband, Alain Morris of Melvindale, Laurie (Robert) Flessas of Brookfield, WI, Maria (Mark) Trahan of Bay City, Susan (Steven) Gebert of Boulder, CO, David LeFevre of Chesterfield Township and Karl (Lisa) LeFevre of Boca Raton, FL; twelve grandchildren; and his sister, Helen (Donald) Permoda of Des Plaines, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeanne Niedzinski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, May 22, 1999 at 11:00 A.M. in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. Rev. Patrick C. O'Connor will preside and intermenty will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Bay County. Monville, Richard C. "Dick"
Bay City, Michigan
A great man whom when you met, his first words were "What can I do for you?" He has met the greatest man who asked "My Son, what can I do for you?" Richard C. Monville, age 66 years, died peacefully at home Wednesday morning, May 19, 1999, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Herbert and Fidelis (Valliere) Monville on June 10, 1932 in Bay City and resided in Bay County all of his life. Dick graduated from St. John's High School, Essexville and served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict on board the USS Philippine Seas. He owned and operated Essexville Garbage Disposal for many years and retired from Saginaw Steering Gear. Dick was a member of the Church of St. Boniface, served as a Boy Scout Leader, and was a scuba diving instructor at the YMCA. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Dick loved fishing, hunting, and saw beauty in every piece of wood. From this wood, he created art for his loved ones, which they will cherish in their hearts forever. He loved his family more than words can say and will be missed by all who knew him. On August 18, 1951, Dick married Patricia Barrowman in St. John the Evangelist Church, Essexville. Patricia survives him, along with their five children: Rick (Connie) Monville of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Monville of Bay City, Deborah (Terry) Rosenbrock of Linwood, Kathleen (Rick) Goslin of Honolulu,HI and Joel (Eva) Monville of Bay City; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren: two like sons: Bobby (Paula) and Larry (Joan) Mazzara of Bay City; his brother, Dan (Erminia) Monville of Akron; his sister, Dorothy Dombrowski of CA; mother-in-law, Margaret Barrowman; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Nancy Markillie, Robert (Pat) Barrowman, Gerald (Marianne) Barrowman; two aunts: Blanche Budnik and Doris Monville; and many nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and David Monville. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, May 22, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. in the Church of St. Boniface. Dick will lie in state in church Saturday after 9:00 A.M. Rev. Dale Orlik will preside and intermenty will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Boniface Organ Fund. Visiting hours will be Thursday and Friday from 2:00 to 8:30 P.M., with the Vigil Wake Service Friday at 7:00 P.M. in the W. A. Mr. Ott died Wednesday morning, May 19, 1999 at Martin Luther Home in Saginaw, age 87 years. Fred was born the son of the late Frederick and Minnie (Loehne) Ott July 9, 1911 in Kawkawlin and had resided in this area for many years. Fred served with the U.S. Army during WWII, worked for North America Rockwell and was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church of Kawkawlin. He is survived by one son, Fred D. (Carolyn) Ott of Washougal, WA, two daughters: Dorothy (James) Sark of Plymouth, Evelyn (Dennis) Tomaszycki of Howell; four grandchildren: Dennis, David, Jessie and Benjamin; one sister, Louise (Roy) Dunham of Battle Creek and one brother-in- law, Howard Panknin of Spokane, WA. Fred was also predeceased by his wife, Bessie M. (Almond) Ott, one brother, Ernest and one sister, Edna. Funeral and Committal Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 22, 1999 from St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church of Kawkawlin. Rev. Fred E. Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Kawkawlin. Fred's family will receive friends at the AUBURN CHAPEL of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. on Friday from 2:00- 5:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M., then on Saturday morning, Fred will lie in state at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Mr. Rhoads, age 50, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at Brian's House after a seven month battle with cancer. He was born in Mt. Clemens on October 7, 1948 to the late Grant and Betty (Livernois) Rhoads. He was a veteran of Viet Nam serving in the U.S. Army. He married the former Deborah N. Belenda on September 25, 1993, she survived him. He was the former owner of the Roadside Inn and currently operated the Northwind Agency. He was also a member of St. Anne's Church and Crump Fox Club. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; three sons: James G. Rhoads of Romeo, Daniel G. (Tonya) Rhoads of Pinconning and Michael A.J. Rhoads at home; two sisters: Susan (Hershel) Fugate of PA and Mary Jean Houghton of FL; a brother, John Rhoads of PA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, May 22, 1999 at 10 A.M. from St. Anne's Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kowalczyk presiding. Graveside services will be held at St. Anne's Cemetery under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. and Friday from 1 P.M. to 9 P.M. A Prayer Service will be held Friday evening at 7 P.M. with Sr. Jean T. Marjorie Leona Ruzicka, age 91, of Lake, MI, died on May 13, 1999 at her home. Marjorie was born on September 9, 1907. She was united in marriage to Milo Ruzicka and he preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mimi Pence and her parents. Marjorie is survived by one son, James and Isabelle Ruzicka of Lake, MI and two sisters: Alice Camp of Fremont, MI and Peg Moore of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren; also, many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 15, 1999 at 1 P.M. from the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell with Pastor Latt Edwards officiating. Bremer, Herbert E.

Died early Thursday morning, May 20, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. He was 84 years old. He was born on October 4, 1914 in Reese, son the late John and Susan (Liebknecht) Bremer. Mr. Bremer attended Reese High School, graduating in 1932. He married the former Adeline Armour on October 19, 1939 in Munger. Herbert had farmed in the Reese and Munger areas most of his life. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Reese and had been very active in community affairs. He served on the Board of Review for Merritt Township, School Board Member for Ahrns School, and was a member and served on the Board of Directors for the Farm Bureau. Mr. Bremer enjoyed his good health, family events, gardening, fishing and playing cards. Surviving in addition to his wife, Adeline, of 66 years, are his children and their spouses: Dale and Susan Bremer, David and Kathleen Bremer, all of Munger, Raymond and Barbara Bremer of Gowen, James and Nancy Bremer of Okemos, Mary Campbell of Flushing, and Marjorie and James Poindexter of Woodhaven; 15 grandchildren: Michael, Mary Beth, Kevin, Allison, Steven, David, Heather, Heidi, Brianna, Barry, Amanda, Jacob, Dane, Kipp and Nate; five great-grandchildren: Blake, Alex, Hannah, Kaitlyn and Alexander. Two brothers, Howard and Jack Bremer and one sister, Irene Guy, predeceased Mr. Bremer. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 24, 1999 from Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. Richard C. Ferne and Vicar Cynthia Olson will officiate with burial in Blumfield Township Cemetery. Mr. Bremer's family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith- Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw Street, Reese on Saturday from 6-8 P.M., Sunday from 4-8 P.M. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
