Herbert L. Crosby, age 83, of Greenbush, died Wednesday, May 19, 1999 at home. He was born August 29, 1915 in Killmaster, MI. Raised in Killmaster, he served in the Army in WWII. He married Dorothy Williams on December 26, 1945 in Ypsilanti. They were residents of Ypsilanti, moving to Brighton in 1957, then to Greenbush in 1976. He was employed for many years in South Lyon and was a member of the V.F.W. Oscoda Post #3735, and the American Legion, Mikado Post #254. He is survived by his wife; four daughters: Diana (Clayton) Burnsed of Glennville, GA, Linda (Bob) Royce, Calumet, MI, Bonnie (Frank) Crosby-Linhart of Whitmore Lake and Louise Crosby of Lake Wells, FL; three sons: Charles (Cricket) of Paris, TN, Donald (Laura) of Hamburg and Walter of Brooklet, GA; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jane Thomson of Ypsilanti. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1 P.M. at the Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln with Rev. Joseph Ablett officiating. Interment will be in Mikado Cemetery, Mikado with full military accorded by Oscoda V.F.W. Post #3735. Friends may call 2-9 P.M. Friday at Gillies Funeral Home. Mrs. Lynch died Tuesday evening, May 18, 1999 at the Bay Medical Center, age 88 years. Daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Evans) Myers was born April 25, 1911 in Massillon, Ohio and lived most of her adult life in Bay City. Surviving are two daughters: Sue Lynch and Sally (Gerald) Gjerde; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Delmer Myers. Irene L. Bartkowiak, age 67 years, passed away Friday morning, May 21, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. She was born September 29, 1932 to Louis and Ellen (VanWert) Burk in Bay City, Michigan. They preceded her in death. She was formerly employed at Prestolite. Mrs. Bartkowiak was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and League of Catholic Men and Women. She is survived by her husband, Richard of Essexville; three children: Richard (Vickie) Bartkowiak and Diane (Brian) Senn, both of Essexville and Debbie (Craig) Coppinger of Bay City; eight grandchildren: Kari and her special friend, Eric, Kristi, Kelli, Chris, Lisa, Shannon, Michael and Kayla, and a sister, Margaret Vermeesch of Essexville. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Schultz and two brothers, Fred Burk and Robert Burk. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 o'clock Monday morning, May 24, 1999 at St. John the Evangelist Church. Rev. Fr. John Mullet will preside. Rite of Committal will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held Sunday evening at 7 o'clock at the funeral home. Friends may call at Stapish East (Essexville) on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock and on Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 and in the evening from 6 to 9 o'clock. Lynne E. Krause, age 99 years, passed away Thursday, May 20, 1999 in Florida. She was born on April 12, 1900 in Bay City, Michigan to William and Mayme (Murphy) Brenner. Mrs. Krause was a member of Holy Trinity Church and the Altar Sodality. She is survived by her son, James Krause and daughter-in- law, Joan Krause of Winter Springs, Florida; grandchildren: Lynne, Nancy, Susan, Kimberly and Christopher; great-grandchildren: Cara, Nicholas, Christopher, Justin, Kyle and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Krause, a brother, Earl Brenner and a sister Marie Black. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, May 25, 1999 at Holy Trinity Church. Rev. Fr. Michael G. Dunckel will preside. Rosalie Pica, age 74, passed away on Saturday, May 15 at a nursing home in Grosse Pointe, MI. Rosalie was born in 1925 & attended St. Joseph Grade and High School. She was a graduate of the class of 1943. She is survived by her husband Paul Pica, 2 sons, 2 daughters & several grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Rose Ann Kozel & her parents Rosalia & Felix Bosco. Also surviving are her brothers Tony (Helen) Bosco, Matthew (Jeannine) Bosco of Bay City, Dr. Frederick Bosco of Washington, D.C. & a sister Louise (Donald) Pilon of Bay City; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
