Stevens; and a sister, Caroline Boucher of Bay City. Mr. Werth was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was the retired co-owner of Werth and Haddad Decorating Co., retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Michigan State Troops. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Werth was a member of Bay City Lodge No. 88 B.P.O.E. Funeral and Committal Service will be Monday at 11 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leslie D. Tyvela and Vicar Steven Maske will officiate. Entombment will be at Floral Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice. Visiting hours will be Saturday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. at Penzien & Steele Funeral Home. He will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10 A.M. until service. Mr. Thorpe passed away suddenly Saturday morning, May 29, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. Age 63. The son of the late Thomas and Gladys Thorpe was born March 10, 1936 in Detroit, MI. Fred formerly operated Tom Thorpe's Bar in Linwood and retired from the Bay County Sheriff's Dept. He is survived by his wife Shirley M.; five children and spouses: Jeanne (Kevin) Zuchnik of Midland, MI, Thomas (Jill) Thorpe of Mustang, OK, Carolyn (Scott) Kopka of Pinconning, MI, Cheryl (Heath) Curtis of Pinconning, MI and Suzie (Michael) Russell of Midland, MI; his grandchildren: Patrick and Lauren Zuchnik, Kayle and Jamie Thorpe and Garrett Russell and two sisters, Shirley (Ray) Bodwin of Reno, NV and Marylou (Ed) Staszak of Kawkawlin, MI. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and tentatively planned for Wednesday morning; the arrangements will be published in Monday's edition. Bay City, Michigan on August 28, 1902. Mrs. Guire lived most of her lifetime in Bay City. She was a former employee of California, Michael (Debra) Russell, Michele (James) Kirsch, all of Essexville, Patrick Russell of Bay City, William (Carol) Lipan, Connie (William) Nemode, Paula Reinshuttle, all of Bay City, Robert (Rene') Lipan of Holland, Brian (Tammy) Lipan of Bay City and Mary Beth (David) Gielda of Bay City; 24 great- grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Leona Mahoney of Essexville; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Guire has five deceased brothers and four deceased sisters. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in St. Mary Church. Rev. Fr. James G. Heller will preside. Rite of Committal will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. The Daughters of Isabella will pray the Rosary Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Parish Wake Service will be Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Both services will be at the funeral home. Friends may call at Stapish West on Sunday between the hours of 5 and 9 o'clock and on Monday between the hours of 2 and 9 o'clock.
