Mr. Haas passed away Saturday morning, May 29, 1999 at Bay Shores Nursing Home. Age 70 years. He was born April 11, 1929 in Russelheim, Germany. Mr. Haas was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Carl was retired from Saginaw Steering Gear as a Die Maker, a member of the V.F.W. Chapter #9, American Legion Post #18, Amateur Radio Relay League. He had a great love of fishing, hunting, traveling and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley M. Biskner, whom he married on April 7, 1951 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Also surviving are his children: Linda (Ronald) Robishaw of Freeland, MI, Carl (Sue) Haas of Ann Arbor, MI, Gary Haas of Bay City, Ronald (Kathy) Haas of Bay City, and Nancy (Michael) Meier of Linwood; his grandchildren: Heather Robishaw and her fiance Todd Essex, Scott Robishaw, Emily and Alex Haas, Amanda Haas, Melissa and Ryan Meier; his mother Ann Haas of Bay City, his brother Fred Haas Jr. of Bay City; one aunt, Rosa Hainz of Russelheim, Germany. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Celebrant will be Fr. Michael Dunckel with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick Cemetery. Mrs. Jezowski passed away Saturday morning, May 29, 1999 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Stanley and Josephine (Lipinski) Virginski was born September 29, 1911 in Saginaw, MI. She was married to Julius M. Jezowski, he predeceased her in 1967. Mrs. Jezowski was retired from Oppenheims Dept. Store. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church, Rosary Society, Altar Society, Senior Citizens and K. of C. St. Stephen Council #4102 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law Helen and Robert Bess of Bay City; a daughter-in-law June Jezowski of Bay City; twelve grandchildren: Thomas Bess, Lori (Kurt) Welsh, Robert (Ruthann) Bess, Charles Bess, Kenneth (Kim) Bess, Susan (Michael) Cavanaugh, Dennis Bess, Wendy Jezowski, Dawn (Russ) Roberts, Marc Jezowski, Kristopher Jezowski and Marci (David) Smith; eleven great-grandchildren; also two sisters and one brother: Mary Skalnican, Midland, MI, Julia Kurnath, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Stanley (Ann) Virginski of Milton, DE; two step-sisters: Wanda Slezak and Janina Williams, both of Bay City; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Julius S. Jezowski; a granddaughter Tamara Jezowski; two brothers: Al and Joseph Virginski, and three step-brothers: Walter, Stanley and Henry Stasiak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at St. Hyacinth Church by Rev. Gerald F. Kukla with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery. Members of St. Hyacinth Rosary Society, Altar Society and Senior Citizens will Pray the Rosary at 2:00 PM Monday followed by a Parish Wake Service at 7:30 PM Monday. Passed away Friday, May 28, 1999 at Covenant Health Care Systems- Cooper Campus after a lingering illness. Age 74 years. Muriel Marie LaBrake was born March 5, 1925 in St. Charles, the daughter of the late Warren and Pamela LaBrake. She married Gerhardt Krueger November 11, 1944 in Saginaw; he predeceased her. Surviving are five children and their spouses, Jerald and Judith Krueger, Saginaw; Janice and John Wahr, Auburn; Tom and Sue Krueger, Shields; Wayne and Sharon Krueger, Bridgeport; Tim and Lisa Krueger, Midland; fourteen grandchildren: Tammi, Scott, Ryan, Kevin, Steven, Kimberly, Kristine, Eric, Michelle, Brian, Lisa, Brent, Sarah and Mike; five great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Kyle, Jake, Austin, and Drew; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Krzysiak passed away suddenly Friday evening, May 28, 1999. Age 37 years. He was born April 15, 1962 in Bay City, MI. David was self employed, was a member of the Teamsters. He loved hunting, fishing and working on cars. He was a family man and loved by all. He is survived by his mother, Constance M. Johnson of Pinconning, MI; his fiancee', Kelly Kozlowski; his son, David Krzysiak; two daughters: Nicole and Chanda Krzysiak; two brothers: Bill (Kathy) Krzysiak and Danny Krzysiak; two sisters, Joanne (Rod) Preston and Cheryl LaBean; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, grandparents, step-father and a brother-in-law. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at 1:00 PM at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Reed, age 81 years, died May 28, 1999 at Bay Medical Center. She was born in Bay City, August 9, 1917, the daughter of William and Adeline (Misch) Tack. Her husband, Harold B. Reed, whom she married June 30, 1946 preceded her in death on January 28, 1980. She was a member of Fremont Ave. United Methodist Church. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Modern Cleaners. She is survived by one daughter Deborah (Duff) Zube, and six stepchildren: Gerald (Sandie) Reed, Joan (Bill) Doty, Norma (Edward) Socia, Marshall (Gail) Reed, Delores (Lyn) Cyr and harold (Virginia) Reed; two daughters-in-law, Beverly Gingrich and Joan Gingrich and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ralph Gingrich and Robert Gingrich. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Penzien & Steele Funeral Home. Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Saunders, age 92, of Gaylord, died Friday, May 28, 1999. Mrs. Saunders was born May 27, 1907 in Gaylord and has been a lifetime resident of the Gaylord area. Mrs. Saunders was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Saunders in 1970. She is survived by her sister, Beverly Hodgins of Gaylord and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia Mary Reed, age 78 years, passed away Saturday evening, May 29, 1999 at her home. She was born to William Page and Edith L. (Van Loon) Cameron on April 25, 1921 in Bay City. Virginia graduated from St. James School in 1939 and attended the former Bay City Business College. She was a member of St. James Church, its Altar Society, the League of Catholic Women and Men, and the Essexville Woman's Club. On May 19, 1945 she married Joseph E. Reed and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1985. Survivors include one daughter and three sons: Melanie (Richard) Schroder and their children, Natalie and Edward Schroder of Norton Shores, MI, James C. (Linda) Reed and their children, Christopher and Stephanie Reed of Waukesha, WI, Paul J. (Tracey) Reed and their children, Adam, Danielle, and Michelle Reed of Essexville, Joel E. (his friend, Linda Rundell) Reed of Bay City; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Reed and children, Timothy Reed of Bay City and Jill Reed of Chickasha, OK; sister, Julia Cameron of Bay City; brothers, Louis (Virginia) Cameron of Fabius, NY and William (Josephine) Cameron of Charolotte, MI; six nephews and four nieces; and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter on February 12, 1948; son, Timothy A. Reed on December 17, 1982; and brother, J. Raymond Cameron on September 21, 1965. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, June 3, 1999 at 10:00 AM in St. James Church. Virginia will lie in state in church Thursday after 9:00 AM. Rev. Peter J. Gaspeny will preside and entombment will follow in St. Patrick Mausoleum. Members of the St. James Altar Society will pray the Rosary Wednesday at 2:00 PM and the Vigil Wake Service will be Wednesday at 4:00 PM, both in the Trahan Chapel.
