Mrs. Ousterhout passed away Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2000 at her residence. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late Jay and Grace (Smith) Banks was born July 28, 1905 in Allegan, MI. She was a a member of New Life Missionary Church. She is survived by two sons: Gary L. Ousterhout and Frank D. Ousterhout both of Bay City, MI; three grandchildren: Laura Lee (Mark) Birch, Christine Ousterhout and special friend Rick Huggard and David Ousterhout and special friend Kim Kimmel; three great-grandchildren: Ashley, Kyle and Mark; two sisters: Grace Ousterhout of Cape Girado, MO and Gertrude Hurlbut of Gobles, MI and one brother, Arthur Banks of Holland, MI. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Frank N. Ousterhout in 1978; her daughter, Rita Ann Ousterhout Tanner; two sisters: Adah Sweet and Maude Manning and four brothers: Jake, Floyd, Lloyd and George Banks. Funeral Services will take place Thursday, January 6, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer with intermenty following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial cards for New Life Missionary Church will be available at the funeral home. Mrs. Petee, age 85 years, died January 3, 2000 at Bortz Health Care in Rose City. She was born in Windber, PA on December 6, 1914, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Torok) Roshy. Her husband, Elton Petee preceded her in death October 10, 1981. She is survived by 3 children: Donna Moors of Ossineke, Julie Ann (William) Trombley of Chuluota, FL and Shirley (Robert) Owen of Prescott; 12 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mary Motko of Bay City and Rose Roshy of Saginaw; 2 brothers: Steve Roshy of Grayling and Julius Roshy of Port Austin and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Richard Petee on June 16, 1998 and 3 brothers, Louie, Lewis and John Roshy. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Penzien & Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Mrs. Warmbier died at her home Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2000 after a brief illness. Age 84 years. Marjorie was born the daughter of the late Walter and Myrtle (Gowing) Milner September 3, 1915 in Midland and had resided in this area all of her life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor, worked many years on the Williams Twp. Election Board, Auburn Area Senior Citizens as well as holding offices within the seniors. On February 4, 1939 she married Carl M. (Charlie) Warmbier, he predeceased her on February 11, 1981. She is survived by 3 children: Joann Mazarz of Freeland, Violet (Ken) Richardson, Henry (Sharon) Warmbier all of Auburn; 10 grandchildren: Darrell Gray, Shellie (Jim) Forbes, Steve (Marla) Gary, Anthony Mazarz, Paul Richardson, Christine (Randy) Friebe, Trisha (David) Schafer, Chad, Craig, and Carrie Warmbier; 8 great-grandchildren: Branden, Jorden Gary, Haley, Jimmy, Jr. Forbes, Alexander, Jessica, Carissa Friebe and Samuel Schafer. Marjorie was also predeceased by a sister, V. Elaine Warmbier. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor. Rev. David F. Mrs. Diehl, age 52 years passed away Sunday, January 2 at Bay Special Care following a brief illness. She was born in Flint, on April 7, 1947 to the late Louis and Kathleen (Caswell) Valasek. She married William Diehl on June 3, 1968 in Bay City and he survives her. She was employed at Bay Medical Center in the Outpatient Department. Surviving besides her husband is her brother Fred and Jean Valasek of Pt. Austin; and their children: Becky Valasek of Flint, and Fred II and Martha Valasek and son Trey Valasek of Vassar; and special friends Jim and Sandy Paten, Judie and Debbie. Orville "Jack" Hunter, age 80 years of Beaverton and formerly of Saginaw, died Monday morning, January 3, 2000 at the MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born on March 16, 1919 in Saginaw, son of the late William and Margaret (Wressel) Hunter. He served in the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II. Jack married the former Shirley A. Witzke on August 28, 1954 in Bay City. He was employed with General Motors Corporation, retiring in 1975 after 35 years of service. Jack was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church of Edenville and had enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife Shirley of 45 years are his children and their spouses: Brad J. Hunter of Aurora, Colorado, John B. and Hope Hunter of Highland, Paul K. and Sandra Hunter of Wheeler, Mary T. and Michael Crawford of Freeland, Anne M. and Kenneth Kopeinger of Kalamazoo, Matt J. and LeeAnn Hunter of Wheeler; 13 grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial and Committal Services will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2000 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Edenville. Rev. Father Todd Arnberg will officiate. Betty Mathis, age 84 years, passed away on December 29, 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida after a short illness. Born in Springfield, Vermont, she moved to Jacksonville from Fairfield Glades, Tennessee in 1991. Prior to that move, she was a long time resident of Sylvania, Ohio. She was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church and was known to many Jacksonville residents as "Betty Bobbles", a movie critic on Lamm at Large WNZS Radio 930. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1987. Survivors include her sons: David of Union City, Michigan and Donald of Jacksonville; daughter, Judy Mouch of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; five great- grandchildren and a step great- grandchild. Betty donated her body to the University of Florida's Shands Hospital. A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Theresa H. Wechsler, age 90 years, died Wednesday, January 5, 2000 in the Bay Medical Care Facility. She was born to Joseph and Sophie Foldie on October 24, 1909 in Buffalo, New York. Theresa worked for several years at the former Mercy Hospital, before retiring in 1975. Survivors include her son: Robert Parker of Bay City; her daughter: Sandra Atkins of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers: Martin, John, and George Foldie; and two sisters: Mary Legacy and Sophie Foldie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: Andrew B. Parker; and her second husband: Herbert Wechsler.
