Our beloved sister Elvita Rodriguez, age 38, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center after a brief illness. Elvita was born in Giddings, Texas on July 27, 1961. Elvita is survived by her parents Audon and Louisa Rodriguez of Pinconning, her brothers: Santos (Grace) Rodriguez, Adam Jr. (Mary Helen) Rodriguez, Rod (Michelle) Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Roy (Tina) Rodriguez, David (Jill) Rodriguez, Eddie (Brenda) Rodriguez, John Rodriguez; two sisters: Virginia (Jack) Schaefer and Lisa Rodriguez, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Alice Rodriguez in 1974. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Sunday, January 23, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. from the Lee- Ramsay Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Ramon Matuszewski presiding with burial in St Michael's Cemetery. Clyde P. Tetreau, age 91, of Lincoln Township died Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at the Lutheran Home Frankemuth. Surviving are two daughters Gay Rummel and her husband Jack of Frankenmuth and Weyona Abbs and her husband Warren of Bay City. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2000 at the MacAlpine Funeral Home of Bad Axe. Pastor Joel Kaiser of the Lutheran Home Frankenmuth will officiate. Campbell, Douglass Corbin

Douglas Campbell of Tecumseh, Michigan, 63 years of age, passed away January 18, 2000 after a brief illness in his home with his immediate family present. He was an alumni of Interlochen International Music Camp and the University of Michigan, where he received his B.S. and M.A. in music, and a member of the National Honors Society, Phi Kappa Phi. His 17 year teaching career began in Bay City and concluded in Bloomfield Hills. Doug earned the Teacher of the Year Award in both school districts. Throughout his career, he initiated many new programs that today still remain. He received several achievement awards as did his bands and orchestras. He directed the Westminster Presbyterian Church choir for 4 years as well as several other churches throughout his career. Doug was an inspiration to many students. He had a passion to create more interest in education and employed insightful teaching methods. He was a hockey coach, and was instrumental in building the now Detroit Skating Club. Doug enjoyed golf, and was a gifted musician and artist. In 1979, his career changed as he entered the construction industry as a Director of Management Training for Pulte Home Corporation, a national homebuilder. His advances in this field took him to Wyoming, Arizona, Florida, and California. In 1997, he founded the Campbell Group which provided construction management training to home building companies across the United States and Canada. Doug was the Director of Construction Management for True North Development of Northville. Doug has written and published books, curriculum, professional articles and lectures throughout his education and construction careers. A Memorial Service will be held January 29, 2000 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Bay City, Michigan. Arrangements are being taken care of by Penzien & Steele Funeral Home of Bay City. In lieu of flowers, the family has established the following memorials in his name: The Douglass C. Campbell Scholarship in Construction Management, The University of Michigan Alumni Band Scholarship, and Hermalin Brain Tumor Center at Henry Ford Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Campbell and Grace Carney, along with two sisters. Bonnie D. Neering, age 80 years, died Saturday morning, January 22, 2000 in Bay Special Care Center. She was born to Frank and Alice (McGovern) Miller on December 22, 1919 in Grand Haven, MI. Bonnie was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was married to Oscar Neering, and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1979. Survivors include five children: Oscar J. Neering, Jr., Ace E. (Mary Jane) Neering, Bonnie (Ken) Tebbe, Sharon (Kevin) Legner, and Darlene (Donn) Hendrickson; 19 grandchildren: Dennis, Orvis, Kenn, and Dustin Bouchard, Misty Neering, Heather Madrid, Brandy Hendrickson, Lisa Tackman, Michelle Tackman, Lori Neering, Dawn Marie, Ace James (Siena) Neering, Angela, Russell, Kim, Nancy, and Jamie Neering, Deana (Grant) Beattie, and Elaine O'Dell; and many great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Terry McGovern, Alice Swanson, and Edith Barttlett. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Lanny Neering and Kenneth A. Neering; grandson, Lanny Neering, Jr.; and two brothers, James McGovern and Ace Miller. Joseph J. Favazza, Sr., age 90 years, died Saturday, January 22, 2000 at his home with his family present. He was born November 11, 1909 to the late Joseph and Philomena (Russo) Favazza in Bay City where he resided all of his life. He was a 1936 graduate of the Detroit College of Law and was admitted to the general practice of law in that same year. Mr. Favazza was a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Past President of the Bay County Bar Association, and a member of the American Judicature Society. He was licensed to practice law in the federal, state, and local courts. Mr. Favazza served as a Circuit Court Commissioner, a Justice of the Peace, an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and City Attorney for Bay City. In 1998, he retired from the practice of law after a career spanning 62 years. He has been a lifetime member of St. Joseph Church. On January 21, 1939, he married the former Grace Moceri, who predeceased him on January 9,2000. He is survived by his three children: Catherine (Gilbert) Ferguson, Joseph J. Favazza III, and Grace Mary (William) Nordstrom, all of Bay City; his grandchildren: Melissa (James) Lile, Jennifer (Paul) Coder, Lisa (Tim) Ghent, Brandon Michael Roth, and Nick Nordstrom; his great-grandchildren: Ryan Michael Steele, Evan James Lile, Matthew Joseph Lile, and Ethan Paul Coder; his nephew: Thomas Siragusa of Central Lake, MI; and his niece: Pauline Minore of CA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Favazza Black; three sisters and their husbands: Ursula and Francesco Siragusa, Grace Favazza, Santina and Dominic Agosta; his brother: Giaciamo Favazza, and two nieces: Gina Gulino, Josephine Motesi. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Church. Mr. Favazza will lie in state in church Tuesday after 10:00 AM. Rev. Steven S. Mrs. Haggerty passed away Friday afternoon, January 21, 2000 at the home of her daughter with whom she resided. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Ole and Mattie (Stendal) Veum was born February 3, 1914 in Harvey, ND. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, it's Alter Society, St. Joseph's Church Eucharistic Adoration Society, League of Catholic Men and Woman and a former member of D.A.V. in LaCrosse, WI. She is survived by four children: Karen Haggerty of Mt. Morris, MI. Mary Aviles (Jerry) Fulcher of Bay City, MI., John V. Haggerty of Essexville, MI. and Patrick C. Haggerty of Detroit, MI.; three grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; Madonna Previski and Marge Haggerty, both of LaCrosse, WI., Marion Haggerty of Green Bay, WI; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a Special Tribute to her caring Friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Francis F. Haggerty in 1994. The Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. James G.
