Standish, Michigan Funeral Directors Association. He was a 50 Year Licensee. Bob was also very active in the Republican Party. He served as County Coroner for many years and was also a County Commissioner for one term. Mr. Savage was a member of the Original Group that started the Standish Industrial Park. Survivors are his wife, Helen; one daughter, Carol (Ralph) Cathcart of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Rite of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 31, 2000 at 11 A.M. from Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Standish. Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick will officiate with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 11 A.M. to 9 P.M. on Sunday with a 4:30 P.M. Mrs. Turanik died Friday, January 28, 2000 at her home, age 70 years. Barbara Fenshaw was born December 29, 1929 in Detroit, MI. She worked as a secretary for many years for a real estate broker. Mrs. Turanik was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Surviving is her lifelong partner, Claude Baugher; and six children: Linda Hendricks, Mark Baugher, Randy (Karen) Baugher, Claudia (Gary) Myers, Paul (Laura) Baugher and Vicki Baugher; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Timmons, age 82 years, died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 in Edmond. The son of the late George and Leila (Copus) Timmons was born April 18, 1917 and lived in the Midland area most of his life. Harold was a loyal, hard working and successful employee of the Dow Chemical Company for 41 years, retiring as superintendent of Machine Shops Nationwide in 1978. Harold organized and was president of the first Little League Baseball Association in Bay City. He had auditioned as a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers and played baseball and softball on local teams for many years. He enjoyed working outdoors and with his hands. There was rarely anything he could not build or repair. He also enjoyed farming and gardening. He used to plow the snow from all his neighbor's driveways on Gordonville Rd. He was a member and Deacon of St. John's Lutheran Church. In 1990 Harold and his wife moved to Edmond, Michigan

Mrs. Cross, age 80 years, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2000 at Lakeview Manor in Tawas, MI. Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 9 PM; Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 with prayer services at 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Au Gres. A more complete obituary will appear in Monday's edition. C.L. He is survived by his wife, the former Nickey Kanauka; a son, Richard A. McCullough, Jr. of Enfield, CT; a step-son, Peter Shapras of San Diego, CA; two step-daughters, Linda Shapras of East Longmeadow, MA and Regina Fortune of Longmeadow, MA; two sisters, Pauline (Steele) Isetts and Florence E. McCullough, both of Bay City; one grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Bertha Callahan, Gertrude McCullough and Jane McCullough and a brother, William McCullough. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Somers Congregational Church on Somers, CT with burial following in Longmeadow Cemetery.
