Josephine Miracle, age 61 years, died Saturday evening, January 29, 2000 in Bay Medical Center. She was born to William and Josephine (O'Keefe) McMaster on June 14, 1938 in London, England and had been a resident of Bay City for many years. Josephine was a Nurse's Aide with Allen Health Care for many years. Survivors include her husband, Robert Charles Sinnott of Essexville; two daughters: Wanda Miracle and fiance' Terry Kanady of Monroe, MI and Kim (Rusty) Charleston of Sandusky, OH; seven grandchildren: Steven, Nicole and Amber Kanady, Stephen Miracle, Gregory Williams and Gabrielle Brown; two sisters: Anna (Frank) Peterson of New York, Patricia (Chuck) Bouchard of New Jersey; three nieces and one nephew. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2000 at 3:00 P.M. in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. Rev. Gerald F. Kukla will officiate. Cross, Helen Edith (Proulx)
Au Gres, Michigan
Helen Edith (Proulx) Cross, age 80, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2000 at Lakeview Manor Healthcare Center in Tawas City. She was born on October 24, 1919 in Au Gres to William and Elsie (Lounsberry) Shotwell. Helen married Frederick J. (Fritz) Proulx on October 25, 1936; he passed away November 12, 1974. On August 3, 1984, she married Floyd Cross who passed away on October 24, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, William E. Proulx on November 11, 1992. She retired from the Au Gres State Bank in 1981 after 30 years of service. She was a charter member of the Lioness Club, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary-Post 8275, a past Au Gres City Treasurer, the organist for over 25 years at St. Mark Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the St. Mark Altar Society. She was also active in several other community organizations Helen is survived by Judie Proulx (William), Leon (Nancy) Proulx, Lois (Mike) Bilacic, all of Au Gres, Daryl (Dana Sanger) Proulx Weidman, Denice (Stan) Loedeman, Kalamazoo, and Rene' (James) Helmick, Orlando, FL; and a sister, Elaine (Russ) McLaughlin of Houghton Lake; 11 grandchildren; two grandcats and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, January 31, 2000 from 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday, February 1, 2000 from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M with a Prayer Service at 8 P.M. at Forshee Funeral Home, Au Gres. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at 11 A.M. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Au Gres. Interment will be at Linwood Cemetery, Au Gres. A luncheon will follow the burial service at the church social hall. Memorial donations may be made to Arenac County Historical Society of Au Gres or the American Lung Association. C.L. Cull, Raymond J.
Beaver Island, Michigan formerly of Bay City, Michigan
Mr. Cull died Sunday evening, January 30, 2000 at Brian's House. Age 77 years. The son of the late Michael and Mable (Connaghan) Cull was born on September 9, 1922 on Beaver Island, MI. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the American Legion in Port Charlotte, FL. He retired in 1985 as a Ship Captain from the American Steamship Company after 40 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Claire Cull; 10 children: R. Dale (Nancy) Cull, Michael (Kitty) Cull, Dennis Cull, Carly (William) Bell, Bonnie Rice, Mary (Dave) VanDenBosch, Jim (Cissy) Cull, Julie (Mike) Cherry, Peggy (Gary) Bowersock and John Cull; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Lockton of Monee, IL and Sally Hammermeister of Dyer, IN; a brother, Roland Cull of Beaver Island; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Cull of Beaver Island. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Larry Cull. The Funeral Service will take place at 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, February 3, 2000 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Fr. Patrick O'Connor officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at 8:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Beaver Island at a time to be announced later this spring. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Beaver Island. DeLong, Allen
Linwood, Michigan
Mr. DeLong, age 79, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2000 at Huron Woods Nursing Center following a lingering illness. He was born on April 16, 1920 in Garfield Township Cemetery to the late Frederick and Josephine (Stark) DeLong. He married the former Dorothy Dubay on October 18, 1941 in St. Anne's Church; she survives him. He was retired from the Bay County Road Commission after 37 years. He was a member of the Fox Club and St. Anne's Church. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Dorothy; three children: Carolyn (Darel) TudeThuot and Melvin DeLong, both of Linwood and Robert DeLong of Patterson, LA; a daughter-in-law, Sharon DeLong of Reese; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; five step- grandchildren; 12 step-great- grandchildren; one brother, Elmer DeLong of Linwood and two sisters: Eva Ross and Beatrice Christensen, both of Linwood; one sister-in-law, Irma DeLong of Bay City and a brother-in-law, Elmer Schmidt of Linwood. He was predeceased by two brothers, his twin, Alvin DeLong and Lawrence DeLong and one sister, Charilla Schmidt. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. from St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kowalczyk presiding with burial in St. Anne's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee- Ramsay Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1-9 P.M. with a Vigil Service to be held at 4:00 with Sr. Jean O. Baumann OSF. Son of Elizabeth Wickes Harvey and Albert Sargent Harvey Sr. passed away Saturday, January 29, 2000, in Saginaw. Age 70 years. He was born September 28, 1929, in Saginaw. Sarge was formerly owner of Sarge Harvey Ford, and also served on the Board of Directors of Great Lakes Bank Corp., was a former director of the Saginaw Valley State University Foundation, past President of the Saginaw Club, and trustee of the Harvey Memorial Foundation. Surviving are one daughter and three sons: Albert Sargent III and his wife, Renee and their children, Amanda and Albert Sargent Harvey IV of Saginaw, Geraldine Wickes and Timothy Kelly and their children, Sean and Stone of Saginaw, William Lynch and Sue Harvey of Royal Oak, MI., John Hamilton and Christine Harvey of Royal Oak; his new best friend, Gerry Harvey Kelly and husband-in-law, Joseph Kelly of Saginaw, one brother, Thomas C. and wife, Constance Harvey of Saginaw; seven nieces and nephews. Sarge was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Hamilton Davis. Memorial Service will take place 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 1, 2000, at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Patrick O'Connor will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service.
