The Lord called our mother, grandmother and great- grandmother home to be with her husband, Monday morning, February 7, 2000 at her home. Age 82 years. Daughter of the late Edward and Ludivine (Turmel) La Moria was born August 29, 1917 in Bay City where she lived all of her life. She married Roy F. Panzner June 1, 1938; he predeceased her June 1, 1980. Mrs. Panzner worked at Holy Trinity Church for several years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Altar Society, League of Catholic Women & Men and the League of Mary. Surviving are two sons: Richard and Robert Panzner, both of Bay City; three grandsons: Robert A., Greg A. and Marc R. Panzner; and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, James (Arlene) La Moria and Emma Hollies. She was predeceased by a grandson, Kurt M. Panzner, two brothers and one sister. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 10, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. from Holy Trinity Church by Rev. Fr. Leonard F. Wilkuski with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Witucki died Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at Bay Medical Center, age 72 years. She was born January 15, 1928 in Bay City to the late Arthur T. and Rhea (Moultane) Brady. On September 10, 1949, Marjory Brady married Walter Witucki; he predeceased her on March 27, 1997. Before she was married she had worked for Bell Telephone. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church and a current member of St. Hedwig Church, serving as a lector and eucharistic minister; also, a member of the Rosary Altar Sodality. Surviving are seven sons and one daughter: John Witucki (special friend, Carol Sturtz), Bay City, Jim (Barb) Witucki, Wyoming, MI, Don (Isabel) Witucki, Birmingham, AL, Dan Witucki (special friend, Debbie Zarazua), Bay City, Joanne (Kerry) Allswede, Springboro, OH, Gerald (Linda) Witucki, Midland, Thomas (Kay) Witucki, Bay City and William (Judy) Witucki, Monahans, TX; 10 grandchildren: Lisa, Rhea, Brady, Amanda, Ken, Katrina, Tyler, Teresa, Jonathan, and John and one great-grandchild, Janae. Five brothers and two sisters: Eugene and Tom Brady, Midland, Robert Brady, Harbor Springs, MI, Arthur Brady Jr., Lansing, Louis Brady, Eureka Springs, AK, Helen (Dean) Carlson, Caseville, MI, Ginny (Larry) LaBelle, Granville, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Marjory was predeceased by two sisters, Joanne and Blanche. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 11, 2000 at St. Hedwig Church. Fr. Daniel "Dan" Dean, age 54, of Etowah, loving husband and father, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 6, 2000. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, son of the late James Dean and Elma Green Dean, who survives. He had resided in Bay City, MI prior to moving to Etowah in 1986. Dan attended Grand Valley State College and was a branch manager for Bankers Life & Casualty Ins., having been with the company for nearly 30 years. He was a member of the Etowah Valley Country Club. In addition to his mother of Spring Hill, FL, he is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Caryl Witucki Dean; a son, Brian J. Dean and his wife, Melissa of Houston, TX; two daughters: Amy Moy and her husband, Brian of Allendale, MI and Ashlee Chase Dean at home; two grandsons: Michael and Morgan Dean of Texas; a sister, Linda Jeffries and her husband, James of Denver, CO; maternal grandfather, Ted Green of MI; several nephews and a niece. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 10, 2000 at the Etowah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Charles F. Gibbons officiating. Thelma Bentley Doughty of Gaylord died on February 7, 2000 at Otsego Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born February 10, 1910, the daughter of Bert and Charlotte Lovell of Rochester, Michigan. Thelma was a retired licensed Practical Nurse and was the owner/administrator of three nursing homes. She and her husband owned Stonycroft #1 and Stonycroft #2 in Rochester, Michigan from 1953 to 1962 when they sold these homes and moved to Mio, opening the Mio Nursing Center. Thelma was the owner/administrator of the Mio Nursing Center from 1962 to 1979 when she retired from the business. Thelma was a very loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed all her great- grandchildren as they came along in her later years. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Bentley in 1965, her second husband, Robert Doughty in 1982 and her daughter, Maxine (Robert) Streble in 1995. Thelma is survived by her children: Ginny (Wally) Brozowski of Gaylord, Nancy (George) Hotchkiss of Lakeland, Florida and Tom (Judy) Bentley of Hemet, California; a son-in-law, Robert Strehle of Mio; 17 grandchildren; 29 great- grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Neal, age 70, passed away February 8, 2000 at Bay Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Kalamazoo on March 30, 1929 to the late Lewis Allen and Bessie (Van Kersen) Neal. Bill retired in 1989 from Prudential Insurance after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy Blackhurst, whom he married in Bay City on February 15, 1986; she survives him. Also surviving are his children: Stephanie (Greg) Karbowski of Holland, Karen (Al) Satkowiak of Auburn, IN, Marcia (Bill) Mulder of Harbor Springs, and Barry Neal and Jerilyn Schwarz of Bay City; a stepdaughter, Heidi M. Hegenager of Bay City; six grandchildren: Kelsey and Kristen Karbowski, Jason and Megan Satkowiak and Christine and Monica Mulder; two brothers: Ed (Helen) Neal of Kalamazoo and Maurice (Rosemary) Neal, Wilsonville, OR, and his former wife, Joan Neal of Beaverton. Mrs. Bourcier died Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at her residence, age 59 years. Donna J. Stephens was born May 9, 1940 in St. Ignace, MI to the late Frederick and Nora Jean (Parish) Stephens. She married Ronald Arlen Earl; he predeceased her during the Korean Conflict in 1959. On September 2, 1960 she married Samuel E. Bourcier Sr.; he predeceased her on February 9, 1998. She was President of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3774, Prescott, a member of the American Legion #370, Prescott, and an active member of the South/West Little League for many years. Surviving are seven children: Sheree (John) Mix, Bay City, Connie (Donald) Powell, Alger, Master Sergeant Ronald (Lorissa) Earl, Utah, Lorna Bourcier, Prescott, Samuel Bourcier Jr., Indiana, Freddie Jean Bourcier, Prescott and Daniel (Lenor) Bourcier, Indiana; a special nephew, Shawn Stephens; 18 grandchildren; two brothers: Russell and Jerry Stephens; two sisters: Helen LaPlaunt and Mary Spencer; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
