Dundrial Buels
BENTON HARBOR - Dundrial Buels, 45, of Benton Harbor, departed this life on earth to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at Robbins Brothers Funeral Home. Elder LeVeal Buels, the brother of Dundrial, will officiate. Burial will follow in Fort Custer Cemetery, Battle Creek, Mich.
Mr. Dundrial was born to the union of the late Mr. Richard and Mrs. Alberta Buels on May 1, 1964, in Benton Harbor. Dundrial was well-known for the love of his cars, bowling, and his nephew (Keno) his sister Bonnie's dog.
At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior under the leadership of the late Rev. C. M. Jones Sr. of Beautiful Gate Missionary Baptist Church. Dundrial enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduating with the Benton Harbor Sr. High School Class of 1982.
Dundrial departed this life leaving loving memories in the heart of three daughters - Eureka (Larry) Moore of Benton Harbor, LaTaya Buels of Tennessee and Dundriea Buels of Nebraska; one son, Dundrial Buels Jr. of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren; two brothers, Timmie Buels of California and LeVeal (Patricia) Buels of Indiana; three sisters - Rochelle (Tony) Buels of Benton Harbor, Connie Buels of Indiana and Bonnie (Meechie) Meeks of Benton Harbor; his fiance, Sandra Haywood; two step-children, Jasmine Sanders and Ronesha Haywood; three aunts - Martha Brady, Flora Hines and Ocise Parker; uncle, Adell Lloyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dundrial was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Reneal Buels; and grandparents, Mr. Dan and Mrs. O.C. Lloyd.
Ellen Manske
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - Ellen Manske, 80, of Michigan City, Ind., died peacefully at her home Thursday morning, June 25, 2009.
Ellen was born March 7, 1929, and was employed at the Old Heidelberg restaurant in Michigan City for many years. Ellen was the beloved matriarch of her family and will truly be missed.
She is survived by her children - Michael (Karen) Deeds, Lynn (Dennis) Pierce, Greg (Ruth) Runnels, Lee (Christina) Sampson, Jeffrey Sampson and Beverly (Jim) Wunderlin; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Norma (Dale) Hampton and Rose (Tom) Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Etta Beers; husband, John Manske; two sisters; one brother; and her daughter, Tina Beyer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, at Pobocik Funeral Home, Three Oaks. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Steven D. Correll
STEVENSVILLE - Steve Correll, 52, formerly from Stevensville, passed away from natural causes on June 23, 2009, at his home in Dallas, Texas.
A funeral service for Steve will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will be in Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville, and will immediately follow the service. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan in care of the funeral home.
Steve was born Feb. 7, 1957, in Euclid, Ohio, to Marjorie (Longwinter) and Wallace Correll. After living in Willoughby, Ohio, his family moved to Michigan where Steve graduated from Lakeshore High School. He moved to Dallas and became a well-known restaurant kitchen designer. He was President/Owner of Foodservice Design in Dallas and Member of Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI). In the restaurant design industry, Steve was known as "the best in the business." For many years now Steve was instrumental in the kitchen design for many company-owned and franchised locations for Ruth's Chris Steak House and was considered their franchise group's designer of choice since 1997. The Ruth's Chris family valued his expertise and will miss him dearly. He designed more than 40 of their restaurant kitchens all over the U.S., including the local one in Mishawaka, Ind. He also designed food service areas for Saudi Arabian airports and over 10 Royal Saudi Air Force mess halls in various other locations overseas throughout his career.
He was a loving son and brother who kept in touch with his family back in Michigan. He traveled extensively with his work, and often phoned to share the local sights and his current project with his family. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, viewing classic cars, attending air shows, and following NASA/space exploration.
In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by brothers, Brian Correll of Nashville, Mich., and John (Ann) Correll of Stevensville; sister, Laurie (Randy) Fish of Stevensville; nephews and nieces - Chris Correll, Michelle Correll, Jennifer (Rob) Freridge, Tyler Fish and Maggie Fish; and great-nieces - Spring, Summer and Carolina Correll.
Patricia Ann Livingston
BENTON HARBOR - Patricia Ann Livingston, age 46, born to the union of Pastor Alberta Davis and Clifton "Sam" Livingston on Feb. 12, 1963, in Elaine, Ark., was called home to her eternal Father on June 13, 2009.
Pat confessed a love for Christ and was a life-long member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
Services will be held on Monday, June 29, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, with visitation at 11 a.m. and service at 12 p.m., the Rev. Emery Varrie II and a member of Sound Doctrine Ministries, Flint, Mich., Pastor Alberta Davis officiating. Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Patricia was attending Mott Community College of Flint, working on her degree in social work. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, music, and just having fun no matter what she was doing. She was blessed, and loved by all who knew her.
Patricia leaves to cherish in her memory her mother and father, two daughters, LaPreisha McPike and Antquanetta Dawkins; three special daughters, April Anderson-Ray, Misz Anderson and Shamise Anderson; a grandson, Patrick Dawkins of Benton Harbor; five sisters - Angela Williams, Linda Livingston, Sherrion Cotton, Patience Davis and Jacqualine Davis; nine uncles; nine aunts, Lillie Phillips of Muskegon, Mich., Queen Terry, Bobbie, Gracie, Mary, Ophelia, Katie, all of Illinois; five brothers - Gary Livingston, Floyd Davis Jr., Micheal Davis, Karen Davis and Rouleas Davis; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Floyd Davis; grandfather, Willie Dunn, auntie, Lula Mae Fallon, and cousins, Louise Henry and Willie Stacker Jr.
Robert E. Dillner
DOWAGIAC - Robert E. Dillner, 80, of Dowagiac passed away at his home on Thursday, June 25, 2009.
Robert was born on Sept. 26, 1928, in Hammond, Ind., to the late Arnold and Emma (Heimann) Dillner.
On Aug. 2, 1947, he married Maxine Cotner Dillner at a ceremony in East Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one grandson.
He is survived by two daughters, Candice (Douglas) Schultz of Peotone, Ill., and Arnette (Thomas) Cotner of Crown Point, Ind., and three grandchildren.
In accordance with Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be any public services.

Thomas Martin Watkins
WATERVLIET - Thomas Martin Watkins, 63, of Watervliet passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at his sister's home in Watervliet.
Thomas was born Nov. 14, 1945, in Watervliet, the son of Martin and Helen (Machowski) Watkins, both of whom preceded him in passing.
Also preceding him in passing were his wife, Edith Geneva (Pruitt) Watkins on July 7, 2006, an infant son, Thomas, and a brother, Douglas Watkins on Oct. 6, 2006.
Thomas served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Collins and Aikman of St. Joseph for 20 years and then with MPH of Riverside for a number of years.
Thomas is survived by two daughters, Laura (Jody) Crakes of Baroda and Susie (Tim) Benson of Kalamazoo; three stepchildren, Melissa (Mark) Saristo of Bangor, Sharon Paskel of South Haven and Don Paskel of Jackson; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Martha (Don) Bregger of Bangor, Judith (Don) Weis of Gobles, Kathleen (Vernon) Curry of Watervliet and Helen (Ray) McIntosh of Leesburg, Ind.
As to Thomas' wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Calvin Funeral Home in Hartford followed by Thomas being laid to rest in Watervliet Cemetery with military rites conducted by VFW Post 1137, VFW Post 6803 and American Legion Post 362 and Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thomas' name may be made to Hospice at Home-South Haven or the American Cancer Society.
Jerry L. Howard
COLOMA - Jerry Leon Howard, 71, of Tawas, Mich., formerly of Coloma, passed away June 22, 2009.
He was born in Arkansas on Dec. 14, 1937, to Leonard and Lillie Howard. He was employed for many years as a die cast operator in the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph area.
Jerry was an avid hunter and fisher. He retired to Tawas to be near the outdoors he loved.
Jerry is survived by six children, Karen (Gordon) Brown, Tammy (Steven) Juroff, both of Benton Harbor, Jerry (Belinda) Howard of St. Joseph, Terry (Rita) Howard of Buchanan, Patricia (Alan) Fredenburg of Michigan City, Ind., Debra Ward of Shelbyville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Dean Howard and Gary Howard, three sisters, Ann Snyder, Joy Ridley and Jenny LaMay and a host of nieces and nephews, all of the Flint area.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lillie Howard.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to the donor's choice.
May he hunt in a forest of deer and fish in a lake of fish and enjoy days as they were meant to be for him.
