Harold L. Meyer
Harold L. Meyer, 89, of Spring Lake, died May 14, 1999 at North Ottawa Community Hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1909 in Grand Haven to George and Johanna (Roossien) Meyer and married Cora Kramer on April 12, 1933 in Muskegon.
Harold had been a life-long resident of Grand Haven and was retired from CWC in Muskegon as a pattern maker.
He was a member of First Reformed Church and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Cora and two daughters: Gloria (Duane) Burkhart of Grand Haven and Carole Meyers of Kentwood, also a son Richard "Bud" (Anne) Meyers of Spring Lake, six grandchildren: Sherry (Kim) Norris, Karen (Jim) Moore, Jeff Meyers, Jenny (Kevin) Anderson, Brett Gue and Lisa (Wayne) Pratt and nine great grandchildren; three sisters: Berdean Katt, Leonna Zimmerman and Virginia (Ed) Westra all of Grand Haven. He was preceded in death by a son George in 1975 and a brother, Herman.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday and interment was in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorials to the Radio Fund at First Reformed Church are appreciated.

Raymond L. Noell, Sr.
Raymond L. Noell, Sr., 67, of Spring Lake died Sun., May 16, 1999, at a local hospital.
He was born May 4, 1932, in Alpena to Eugene and Cora (LaFave) Noell and married Sharon Trinker May 21, 1974, in Spring Lake.
Mr. Noell was an area resident most of his life and was a supervisor for Anderson Bolling. His interests included scroll woodworking and his work was well known at showings at the Grand Haven Community Center.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, LouAnn Allred, and Sheryl Peterson both of Muskegon; one son, Raymond L. Noell, Jr., Muskegon; three step-daughters: Janice (John) Spickelmire, E. Helena, Mont., Barbara DeGroot, Allegan and Gerri (Richard) Von Tersch, Williamston; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four sisters: Beatrice (Roy) Dietz, Detroit, Virginia Noell, Cottage Grove, Oregon, Gladys Collins, Alpena and Betty (George) Hauff, Alpena; three brothers: Edward Noell, Detroit, Howard Noell, Spring Lake, Leonard (Lois) Noell, Nunica; also a sister-in-law, Diana LaFave, Grand Haven, and his first wife, Jeanette Fenn, Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Tiers, and brothers, Clarence and Earl LaFave.

Robert W. Koster
Robert W. Koster, 63, of Rapid River died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette.
He was born Dec. 13, 1935 in Nunica, the son of John and Betty (Dykstra) Koster. He was raised in the Nunica and Spring Lake area. Following his schooling he enlisted in the Michigan National Guard for four years. He married the former Shilah Frisbie on Dec. 13, 1968.
He was the co-owner of Koster and Hamstra Builders in Spring Lake until 1973.
In 1973 he moved to Rapid River where he was self employed as a carpenter and retired in 1997. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking.
In addition to his wife Shilah survivors include:
One son Robert (Gayl) Koster of Nunica; three daughters Bonnie Vokal of Spring Lake, Brenda (Gary) Slagle of Spring Lake, and Becky (Karel) Justian of Spring Lake; two brothers Jack (Joani) Koster of Spring Lake, and Bruce (Linda) Koster of Spring Lake; a sister, Kay (Norm) Brown of Spring Lake; two granddaughters, six grandsons as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
According to his wishes no visitation or services will be held. Arrangements were handled by the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
Fannie Bosch
Fannie Bosch, 81, of Spring Lake, died Friday, June 11, 1999.
She was born Aug. 8, 1917 in Spring Lake Township to Harry and Alice (Ruiter) Bramer and married Russel W. Bosch June 5, 1940 in Spring Lake. They had been married nearly 58 years at the time of his death, May 26, 1998.
Mrs. Bosch was a lifelong area resident and had worked part-time for Braaks Bakery in Grand Haven
for many years. She was a member of Ferrysburg Church and was acitve with various groups within the church. Her interests included cooking, gardening, camping and traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Bev (Russ) Sall of Allendale, and Shirley (Robert) Alderink of Dallas, Texas; a son, Dale (Jan) Bosch of Spring Lake; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Sadie (Don) Jeske of Spring Lake; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Conant of Grand Haven, and
Betty Bramer, The Netherlands.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Kyle Sall, and her brother, Lawrence Bramer.

Eugene Maycroft
Eugene W. "Gene-O" Maycroft, 54, Coopersville, died Friday June 11, 1999.
He is survived by his wife Mickey (Michels) Maycroft; children, Julie (Tim) Metten, Rusty Cady, Carl Cady, Gina Maycroft, Jalyssa Maycroft and Ted Maycroft; grandchildren, Alexius, Mikayla and Gabriella Metten, Felicia and Aunna Cady and Susan and Kyle Maycroft; niece T.J. Ivey; mother, Elga Maycroft; father and mother-in-law, Edward (Arlene) Michels and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orlo Maycroft; daughter, Leslie Cady; and sister, Diane Maycroft.

Morris Parish
Morris E. Parish, 78, of Coopersville died Friday June 11, 1999.
He was born July 18, 1920 in Allendale to Newton and Beatrice Parish.
Mr. Parish was a Navy pilot during World War II, was former Postmaster of Coopersville, and was active in the following organizations: American Legion, Easter Seals, Coopersville Area Historical Society, Coopersville Area Foundation, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Library board, Berlin Fair Board and was an Ottawa County Commissioner.
He was a member of North Ottawa County Council on Aging and a member of St. Michael's Church.
He is survived by his wife Fran; children, Connie Parish of Boston Ma., and Jeff (Denise) Parish of Coopersville; grandchildren, Janet and David Parish; brother, Merlyn Parish; sister, Geneva Barbick, and many cousins and friends.

Howard Ruster
Howard S. Ruster, 84, of Coopersville died Thursday June 10, 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; son, Jack (Deborah) Ruster of Coopersville; daughters, Amy (Rick) Gibson of Wyoming and Ellen (Cal) Kooistra of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.

Frances Mercurio
Frances M. Mercurio, 97, of Grand Haven died this morning, June 11, 1999 at a local care facility.
She was born Oct. 4, 1901 in Richmond Ind. to Anthony and Santa (Mercurio) Mercurio. Mrs. Mercurio moved to the area in 1987 from dearborn Hts., and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Baptist (Virginia) Mercurio, and John (Rose Marie) Mercurio, both of Grand Haven; also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mercurio, in December of 1942.
The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Frances M. Mercurio will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Langlois as celebrant. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Friends may meet the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home of Grand Haven.

Dorthy DenHerder
Dorthy E. DenHerder, 87, of Nunica died Thursday, May 6, 1999.
She was born March 1, 1912 in Conemaugh, Penn. to Harvey and Hazel (Neal) Wright and married Fred DenHerder, Feb. 6, 1943 in Grand Haven. They had been married 53 years at the time of his death, June 17, 1996.
Mrs. DenHerder earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and taught for the Conemaugh, Penn. Public School System until moving to Grand Haven at the time of her marriage.
She was a member of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church and was very active with the Mary Free Bed Guild and is remembered for the countless numbers of mittens and sweaters she knitted and donated to help raise funds.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Pat) Dornbos, Muskegon; and son, Jon (Diane) DenHerder, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and a grandson, Dan Dornbos.
