RIBARCHIK, Robin Theresa – Age 33, of Swartz Creek/Flint Township, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, June 23, 2003 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will be held at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. John, MI. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center, 1493 West Maple Avenue, Flint 48507. Robin was born April 12, 1970 in Flint, the daughter of James and Mildred (Viles) Ribarchik. She graduated from Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center in 1996. Robin enjoyed her family and music. Surviving are: parents, James and Mildred Ribarchik of Swartz Creek/ Flint Township; two brothers, David Ribarchik of Swartz Creek, Daniel Ribarchik of Sparta, TN; niece, Amanda Ribarchik; nephew, Joshua Ribarchik, both of Sparta, TN; special friend, Rhonda Parsell Maybe of Sparta, TN; grandmother, Anna Kravcsik of Bannister, MI; god-parents, Joann and Tony Kusnier of Elsie, MI; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by: sister, Laura Anne Ribarchik and her grandparents.

Moore was born February 3, 1924 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Herman A. and Roxie (Robinson) Moore and was married to Helen June Ellendorf on July 26, 1945 in Holland, MI. Rev. Moore graduated from Ypsilanti High School and attended Moody Bible College in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Detroit Bible College and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. Rev. Moore was the past Minister of Berean Baptist Church in Belleville, MI, First Baptist Church in Milford, MI and First Baptist Church in Granite, MN and was a member of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and Past President of the Committee of Missionary Evangelists. Rev. Moore is survived by: wife, Helen of Fenton; daughter, Sharon Ruth Chirrup of Homo Sassa, FL; brother, Kenneth A. Moore and wife Shirley of Satellite Beach, FL; brother, Robert D. Moore and wife Joan of Palm Harbor, FL; and special friends, Adrian and wife Kathy Warford of Fenton. Rev. Moore was preceded in death by his parents.

JENNINGS, Agnes Irene Langdon passed away Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the age of 92. She was happy to be at home surrounded by family. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 11 AM at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7365 Miller Rd., Pastor David A. Krueger officiating. Interment in Montrose Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church or Genesys Hospice. Agnes was born August 18, 1911 in North Kenova, Ohio, one of 12 children of Edward W. and Nancy C. (Pemberton) Langdon. She married Ralph E. Jennings on August 17, 1935 in Flint; he preceded her in death August 8, 1996. Mom will be greatly missed by her three children, Nancy Bell and Phyllis (Neil) O'Brien, both of Swartz Creek, Roger (Judy) Jennings of Crossville, TN. Mom has 14 loving grandchildren, Karen Terry, Ralph Bell, John Bell, Mary Carr, Eddy Bell, Colleen Wisniewski, Patricia Chen, Mark O'Brien, David O'Brien, Karla Siebert, Maureen Steffen, Molly O'Brien, Renee Jennings and Kevin Jennings. Her 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren will remember her warm embrace. "We are all thankful we had the chance to grow up with Grandma J." Mom is also survived by a sister, Virginia (Howard) Dow of Pontiac; brother-in-law Roy Bemis of Flint Township; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mom graduated from Clio High School in June 1931 as one of five honor students in a class of thirty-eight. She graduated from Genesee County Normal School in Flint in 1932 and taught grades 1-8 at the Naismith Country School near Montrose. Mom and Dad raised three children on the Crapo Farm in Swartz Creek. Mom worked for many years as Ward Clerk in Central Supply at McLaren Hospital in Flint. She was a poet, writing most of her poems in the early 40's. God gave her the talent of remembering her poems and she could recite them from memory until very recently. Mom kept a daily diary since 1977. She wrote to someone every day. Mom always said a prayer before each meal. In the past two years she added "God Bless America and Guide Us All." Mom and Dad were good people, always making do with what we had. They never had an enemy, but always a smile for everyone. Mom enjoyed attending the Bingham School Reunions. Our family enjoyed her little "quips" such as "Oodie Doodie!" and "Beautiful Day!" Even enduring horrific pain, she wanted to know "What's the temp?" She has been an inspiration to her family. Her faith in God has never been unshaken and Mom was always upbeat. A special Thank You to her faithful caregiver Barbara Hart, to Genesys Hospice and to Pat Dunnigan. "Life Is For The Living." HARMELING, Maxine - Age 87, died Sunday, October 5, 2003 at the Masonic Home in Alma. She was born January 29, 1916 in Belding, MI, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Ryder) Marcotte. She had been a Flint area resident for many years. On March 28, 1975 she and James Harmeling were married and he preceded her in death April 17, 1983. She had been employed at JC Penny and retired form Montgomery Ward as a Stock Clerk in 1975. She enjoyed growing and attending to her roses and was an excellent apple pie baker, enjoyed by many. She was a life member and past worthy matron of the Mt. Morris Chapter #474 Order of the Eastern Star. She was loving and devoted Mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Surviving: a son, Duane Dunham and wife Joanne of Swartz Creek; a daughter, Gloria Duvernois of Davison; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Louise Lane of Flushing; several nieces, nephews; many friends along with special friend, Margie Knoodle; "Sammy Too". She was preceded in death by 6 sisters; 3 brothers; 2 grandchildren, Kim Dunham, and James Duvernois. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at the Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, Rev. Grant Wessel will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-9 PM tonight. A Memorial Service under the auspices of the Mt. SHOEN, Gerald L. “Gary” – Age 56, of Fenton, died Sunday, October 19, 2003 at the Shoen family farm in Stanton, MI. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 23, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Pastors Parker Smith and Donald Neuville officiating. Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, October 24 at the Evergreen Township Cemetery, Stanton. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Tuesday, and 1-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Mr. Shoen was born May 12, 1947. He married Joan Szcodronski on September 18, 1965. He retired from General Motors in 1996 with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Linden Presbyterian Church where he had also taught bible study. He had been a football and baseball coach in Linden, and volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association as a photographer. He loved to ride his Harley’s. Surviving are: wife Joan; 4 children, Michelle and Ken Harwood of Durand, Laura and Steve Callsen of Cadillac, Ryan and Kourtney Shoen of Linden, Mike Shoen of Linden; 14 grandchildren, Ashley, Deneice, Matthew, Allen, and Hannah Harwood, Zaina Khal, Felicia, Karissa and Rebecca Shoen, Donovan Cross, Vanessa and Hunter Shoen, and Trevor Polidan; brother, Steve and Mary; 2 sisters Connie and Sue on the West Coast; brother, Ken; many nieces and nephews; cousins, Mike and Stefanie Shoen, Terry, and Jim Travis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Shoen and Mae Bettin; and granddaughter, Heather.

Those desiring may make contributions to Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Rowley was born January 6, 1913 in Bay City, the daughter of Alvin and Minnie (Learman) Rothermel. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School "Class of 1930". She married Amsden B. Rowley on June 26, 1930 in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death March 21, 1988. Mrs. Rowley was a long time resident of Flint Twp., living there since 1934. She worked in the Administration Offices of the then Carman School District, retiring in 1971. Mrs. Rowley was the longest member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church being a very active member of the Church and Choir. She was also a member of the Flint Twp. Board of review for 9 years. Mrs. Rowley loved spending her time gardening, enjoying the flowers, reading and cross word puzzles. Surviving are: son, Donald and wife Carolyn Rowley of Flushing; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a nephew; and several cousins. Mrs. Rowley was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Ann Kaelber; and her brother, Kenneth Rothermel.

Rowe, Rev. Kenneth Earl- Age 69, of Grand Ledge, former pastor of Fenton Free Methodist Church, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, November 02, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Heritage Hills Church, 5530 Runyan Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor John Vannest and Rev. Jim Salo officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 2-4 and 6-8PM Wednesday and 10AM until time of service Thursday. Rowe was born April 11, 1934 in Buffalo, NY, the son of Clarence W. and Harriet M. (Haskins) Rowe. He had resided in Grand Ledge the past 3 years coming from Fenton. He married Dorothy J. Miller December 17, 1958 in Houghton, NY, and she preceded him in death May 4, 1999. He retired in 1998 from the East Michigan Conference of the Free Methodist Church, with 36 years of service. Surviving are: 3 children, Philip and wife Lori Rowe of Ft. Wayne, IN, Ellen and husband Ronald Brittain of Grand Ledge, James and wife Susan Zann of Cleveland, OH; 5 grandchildren, Angie, Ben, Jerry, Mitchell and Spencer; 2 great-granddaughters, Madison and Jade; 5 brothers and sisters, William and wife Joan Rowe, Clifford Rowe, Robert Rowe, Joan and husband Ray Jones, Shirley and husband John Mordeno; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He served the Lord faithfully.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, May 12, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Interment will be held at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 7-9 PM Saturday at the funeral home. No visitation will be held on Sunday. Mrs. Worley was born February 15, 1937 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Robert E. and Ina Pardee (Smith). She was a 1955 graduate of Linden High School. She was a LPN at McLaren Regional Medical Center for many years. Surviving are: daughter, Judith and husband, Larry Beck of Salina, KS; son, Kenneth A. Worley of Searcy, AR; four grandchildren; brother, John Pardee of Wichita, KS; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer officiating. Interment will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Monday and 9 am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Pavlica was born August 5, 1905 in Czechoslovakia and had resided in Swartz Creek since 1912. She married Thomas G. Pavlica in November of 1922 in Swartz Creek; he preceded her in death on December 30, 1968. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by: daughter, Helen Mojzis of Brighton; seven grandchildren, Mariann, Patricia, Sharon, Thomas, Victoria, Pamela and Mary; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by: her son, Edward in 1971; daughter, Mildred Charkut in 1999; son-in-law, Steve Mojzis.
