Shelley R. Gahan
FENNVILLE - Mrs. Gahan, age 38, of Fennville died Oct. 13, 2000. Born July 27, 1962, in Muskegon, Mich., to Ronald and Beverly (Ben) Hunt, she had lived in the Fennville area the past seven years. On April 28, 1989, in Montague, Mich., she married Ward Gahan and had been a self-employed innkeeper.
Family: Her husband, Ward; daughter, Elizabeth Gahan; a son, Cormac Gahan; her parents, Ron and Beverly Hunt of Montague; a brother, Steve (Kristine) Hunt of Whitehall; a half-sister, Sue (Danny) Hammond of Colorado; three aunts, Barb and Vic Steinle of Wisconsin, Lee Hunt of California and Pat Backman of Whitehall.
Service: Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at 8 p.m. from Montague United Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy P. Boal officiating and Mr. James Tanis as Eulogist.
Visiting hours: Wednesday, 7 to 8 p.m. at the church in Montague.
Mass for the dead: Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at 9 a.m. at St. Basil's Catholic Church of South Haven.

Gertrude E. Clifford
SODUS - Gertrude E. Clifford, 85, of Sodus, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire, with the Rev. Phillip Platz of the Calvary Bible Church, Benton Harbor, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus. Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clifford was born Feb. 4, 1915, in Sodus Township to Ottis and Ivah (Correll) Dohm. She married Lyle Clifford on Oct. 11, 1934, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1964. She had worked in the laundry of the former Berrien General Hospital and retired in 1982 after 25 years of service.
Surviving are two daughters - Virginia Bradshaw and Sharon (Frank) Stump of Benton Harbor; two sons - Wayne Clifford of Sodus and Vernon Clifford of Coloma; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons - LeRoy on July 3, 1942, and Lyle on April 17, 1997; and her brother, Victor Dohm on Aug. 5, 1989.
Mary Ann "Molly' McGuinness
ST. JOSEPH - Mary Ann "Molly" McGuinness, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Golden Place, St. Joseph.
Molly was born June 5, 1914, in Dundalk, Ireland, to Mr. and Mrs. Bernard McGuinness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, of which she was a longtime member. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dey-Florin Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, St. Joseph. In accordance with her wishes, Molly has been cremated and her cremains will be interred in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph.
In 1958 Molly arrived in St. Joseph and worked as a nursing assistant at the former Memorial Hospital. She was later employed for several years at Shoreham Terrace Nursing Home. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, music and was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Molly is survived by her sister, Shiela (Vic) Brown of Kent, England; a brother, Michael (Meg) McGuinness of Pretoria, Republic of South Africa; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her good friends, Harold and Ruth Borlik of St. Joseph and their family; Mary Beth Carter of Grand Haven; Laurie (John) Broccolo of Highland, Ind.; Ann Marie (Nick) Goodell and their children; Matthew and Lauren of St. Joseph; John (Barbara) Borlik of Kalamazoo; and Jane Borlik of Kalamazoo.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers - Emmet, Frank and Patrick.
Kathryn Radke
EAU CLAIRE - Kathryn Radke, 78, of Eau Claire, died Jan. 15, 2001, at her daughter's home in St. Joseph after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 623 Church St., St. Joseph. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Memorials may be made to MADD of Michigan or Hospice at Home.
Kathryn was born Aug. 8, 1922, to Henry and Christina (Scheidt) Schmall on their family farm in Hinchman. She married Albert Radke on Oct. 12, 1940, in Baroda. During her life, she worked at Industrial Rubber, Avion Coach, where she retired in 1986 and volunteered weekly at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, for 15 years delivering mail.
She is survived by her husband, Albert of Eau Claire; three sons, Ronald Radke of East Lansing, Mich., Charles D. (Barbara) Radke of Stevensville and Dennis (Marcia) Radke of Grand Rapids; three daughters - Marilyn (Dave) Nolen of Columbia, Tenn., Charlene Hafer of St. Joseph and Linda (Rob) Fisher of Traverse City, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers - John (Mildred) Schmall of Aurora, Colo., and Harley Schmall of Jackson, Mich.; and two sisters - Elizabeth "Betty" Clark of Coloma and Helen Faher of Berrien Springs.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters - Henry Schmall, Marjorie Brown, Mary Schmall, Elizabeth Schmall, Catherine Schmall, infant brother; and a grandson, Dirk Hafer.
Funeral arrangements are through Starks & Menchinger at Legacy Family Funeral Services-Matthew R. Purchase Chapel, Berrien Springs.
Finus Spencer Craven Jr.
BENTON HARBOR - Finus Spencer Craven Jr., 77, of Kalamazoo, formerly of Benton Harbor, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo.
The funeral will be held at noon on Monday at Harper Funeral Home, 521 Douglas Ave., Kalamazoo. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 9 a.m., until time of services. No wake will be held.
Mr. Craven was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Chicago.
Survivors include: two sons - Tyrone of Benton Harbor and Gene of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Ruth Collins of Kalamazoo; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Smith of Festus, Mo.; and a brother, Alexander of St. Louis, Mo.
Frieda Pudell
ST. JOSEPH - Frieda Pudell, 83, of St. Joseph, died peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2001, at Golden Place II, St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Oakridge Baptist Church, 766 Oakridge Drive, St. Joseph. Officiating the services will be the Rev. Stephen Donoghue. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Oakridge Baptist Church, where she was a member. Starks & Menchinger are serving the family through Legacy Family Funeral services, Matthew R. Purchase Chapel.
Frieda was born April 5, 1918, to Reinhold and Bertha (Heinrich) Heckert in Volynia, Russia. On Oct. 12, 1939, she married Oskar L. Pudell and in 1951 the family moved to the United States. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her Lord, church, family and friends with a passion. Her hobby was gardening and flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Selma (Siegfried) Herrmann of St. Joseph; a son, Siegfried (Sandra) Pudell of St. Joseph; four grandchildren - Scott (Sandra) Herrmann, Steven Herrmann, Deborah (Paul) Hasselschwert and Daniel Pudell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oskar, in 1975.
Terry Lee Weidlich
COVERT -- Terry Lee Weidlich, 55, of Covert, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford, with the Rev. Elvin NyHuis of the Hartford Federated Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. As to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Mr. Weidlich was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Watervliet, the son of Carl and Arlene (Deput) Weidlich, both of whom preceded him in passing.
He was owner of his own blueberry farm in Covert. Mr. Weidlich was a member of the Farm Bureau and Michigan Blueberry Growers Association and a former member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include: a daughter, Renee Knobloch of Covert; a granddaughter, Breanna Knobloch of Covert; a grandson, Christopher Weidlich of Covert; and a brother, Robert Weidlich.
