George L. Keck
Age 76 of Bannister, Michigan passed away Saturday, May 19, 2001 at Cadillac Memorial Hospital in Cadillac, Michigan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at 1:00 P.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Rev. Merlin Pratt will officiate. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be Monday 7-9 and Tuesday 2-9 with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 P.m. There will also be a Masonic Service Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.m. at the funeral home.
George was born in Flint, Michigan on October 1, 1924, the son of Melvin LeRoy & Alma Mae (Allen) Keck. He graduated from Elsie High School with the Class of 1942. On May 11, 1946 he married Effie J. Smith in Chapin, Michigan. He retired from Peet Packing in Chesaning in 1985. He attended the Elsie United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII with the Pacific Fleet. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #238 in Elsie and a member of the Elsie Lions Club. He also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Kountry Kousins Square Dance group. He resided most of his life in the Ashley and Bannister areas. Survivors include his wife, Effie J. Keck of Bannister, MI, one daughter, Suann & Ronald Mead of Owosso, MI, four sons, George F. & Rita Keck of Bannister, MI, Keith & Rebecca Keck of Pleasant Hill, CA, Douglas & Della Keck of Corunna, MI, and Jeffery & Suzette Keck of Sterling Heights, MI, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, one sister, Jenny Mae Clark of Bancroft, MI.
He was predeceased by his parents.

Otis " Ernie " March
Age 70 of Owosso Michigan died Thursday, May 4, 2001 at the Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. He owned and operated Ernie’s Market in Owosso with his family.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna, Michigan. Rev. Edward C. Scheikert will officiate and burial will take place at Fremont Cemetery in Bancroft, Michigan. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 7-9 P.M. and Monday 2-9 with family present from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
Ernie was born in Petoskey Michigan on April 7, 1932 the son of Ernest and Amelia S. ( Childs ) March. Ernie resided most of his life in Owosso. On December 26, 1960 he married Genevieve Pennell in Lansing, Michigan. She died August 20, 1986. Ernie enjoyed fishing. Survivors include 3 children; Gary & (Betty) Bobier of Charlotte, Gordon (Brenda) Bobier of Holt, Debra (Matthew) Vizi of Owosso; 10 grandchildren Theresa Martin, Gary (Cathy) Bobier, Tia & (Tim) Moyer, Laura Bobier, Jenna granger, Sarah Bobier, Arick and Aaron Granger, Samantha Bobier, and Steven Marsh; 6 Great Grandchildren; 1 brother, Ernest March of Owosso, 1 Great Aunt, Edra Kirby of Owosso.

Max Richard Bashore
Age 82 of St. Johns, Michigan died Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at The Laurels of Fulton, Fulton Township, Michigan. He was retired from Oldsmobile as a welder.
Private Funeral Services were held.
Forest was born on March 2, 1920 in Clinton County, Michigan, the son of John & Louise (Wassa) Bashore. On September 14, 1946 he married Alma Carlson in Angola, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army and was a founder and member of Michigan United Coon Hunters Club. He resided most of his life in the Ovid & St. Johns area.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Kathy (Chuck) Bashore Golden of Mason, Michigan, 2 sons, Gary Edwin (Nancy) Bashore and Rusty (Dee) Bashore, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma, his parents, John H. & Louise (Wassa) Bashore, 1 sister and 2 brothers.

Wanda June Randolph
Age 79 of St. Johns, Michigan died Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. She owned and operated Randolph Redi-Mix in St. Johns, Michigan with her husband.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 1:00 P.m. at Eureka Christian Church, Eureka, Michigan. Pastor Bob Ditmer will officiate with burial at Eureka Cemetery in Eureka, Michigan. Visitation will be Friday from 2-9 with the family present from 2-4 & 7-9 P.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
Wanda was born on February 28, 1923 in Clio, Michigan, the daughter of Russell E. & Iva Goldie (Calderwood) Waggoner. She attended Elsie High School and graduated with the Class of 1941. On June 30, 1946 she married Dale Randolph in Eureka, Michigan. He passed away on December 4, 1981. She was a member of Eureka Christian Church. She resided most of her life in the St. Johns area.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Terrie Randolph of Ithaca, 1 son, Larry & Jane Randolph of St. Johns, 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Lisa, Brian & special friend Adrienne Hudson, 1 twin brother, Wendell Waggoner of St. Johns, 3 sister-in-laws, Fern Waggoner of St. Johns, Erma Robinson of St. Johns, and Ellen Waggoner of Roscommon, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Marvin, Gordon, and Howard (Dizz), and 1 sister, Olvada Marie.
