Gary L. Richardson
Age 65 of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Mid-Michigan Regional Center in Midland, Michigan. He worked at Alma Products for 32 years until his retirement 4 years ago. He was currently employed by the Alma Police Department as a Crossing guard for Pine Avenue School, which he truly enjoyed.
Private services will be held with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Alma.
Gary was born on December 27, 1936 in St. Louis, Michigan the son of Frank & Alice (Bower) Richardson. He attended and graduated from St. Louis High School with the Class of 1958. He excelled in track, football, and basketball. On June 4, 1960 he married Wilma L. Mallory at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Alma, Michigan. He loved to fish with his grandson and he also enjoyed hunting. He resided all of his life in the St. Louis area.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma L. Richardson of St. Louis, one daughter, Ronda & Ron Holleman of Lansing, and one grandson, Ian Greggory Holleman. He was predeceased by one son, Greggory in 1985, his parents in-law, Mary Jane & William Mallory, and a special Aunt and Uncle, Lee & Nella Lover.

LaVerne Jacob Luchenbill
Age 89 of Corunna, Michigan died Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at Durand Convalescent Center in Durand, Michigan. He was a Dairy Farmer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2002 at 1:00 P.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Mr. Robert P. Tissot will officiate with burial at Wilkinson Cemetery, Venice Township, Michigan. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 7-9 and Thursday from 2-9 with the family present from 2-4 and 6-9 P.m. A Masonic Service will be held Thursday Evening at 7:30 P.m.
LaVerne was born on December 25, 1912 in Hazelton Township, Michigan the son of Floyd and Edith (Leube) Luchenbill. He graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1929. He married the late Dorothy (McIntyre) Luchenbill on November 7, 1936 in Venice Township at Dorothy’s parent’s home. He attended Country Side Gospel Chapel in Owosso. He was a member of the American Jersey Cattle Club, the Michigan Jersey Cattle Club, a Past Master of the Vernon Masonic Lodge #279, a Life Member of the Owosso Masonic Lodge #81, a member of the Saginaw Valley Beagle Club, Bay City Concistory 32nd Degree, and he was active in the Shiawassee County Fair. He resided most of his life in Venice Township area.
He is survived by 1 daughter, LaVonna & Pete Mills of Fountain Hills, AZ, 2 sons, Ed & Joanne Luchenbill of Corunna, Brad & Darleen Luchenbill of Corunna, 6 grandchildren, Mitch Mills of Glendale, AZ, Jeff Mills of Pembrooke Pines, FL, Scott & Karla Luchenbill of Durand, MI, Laura & Andy Mosciski of Corunna, Bret & Erin Luchenbill of Linden, Ami Luchenbill of Corunna, 8 great-grandchildren, Michael, Emily & Zachary Mosciski of Corunna, Hillari Buckner of Corunna, Megan & Alisson Luchenbill of Durand, Hunter & Parker Luchenbill of Linden, and loving caregivers, Betty Bates of Corunna, Ellen Sharp of Corunna and Tammy Robins of Durand. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife and his infant daughter Lori.

James William Edgeworth
Age 52 of Durand, Michigan died Monday, March 25, 2002 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. He worked for Simplicity Engineering in Durand.
Funeral services will be private with burial at Fremont Cemetery, Shiawassee Township, Michigan. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 2-9 with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 P.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
James was born on October 20, 1949 in Durand, Michigan, the son of Glen & Faith Wanda (Massey) Edgeworth. He graduated from Durand High School with the class of 1967. He resided most of his life in the Durand area.
He is survived by one brother, Wayne "Jake" & Ellen Edgeworth of Corunna, one nephew, Blake & Dawn Edgeworth of Jacksonville, Florida, one niece, Sheila & Scott Swenor of Marquette, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Edgeworth, one niece Dawn, and one nephew Ricky.
