Velma D. Clark
Age 80 of Owosso, Michigan passed away Thursday, October 3, 2002 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. She worked for AC Spark Plug and retired after 30 years of service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 12:00 noon at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rev. Grant Lobb will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 A.m. to 8:00 P.m.
Velma was born on January 24, 1922 in Greenbay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ira and Sophia (Dining) Wright. She graduated from Lansing Eastern High School with the Class of 1941. She married Ralph E. Clark on November 12, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a member of Owosso First United Methodist Church, Owosso, Michigan. She was also a Charter Member of the AC Tank You Club, Owosso Women's Club, and Former 1st Lady of the Michigan Unit of the Wally Byam Airstream Club. She resided most of her life in the Flint and Owosso area She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Clark, daughter, Carol & Jeriel, son, Harvey & Rose, son, Rick & Wanda, son, Gary & Germaine, son, Mark & Pamela, son, Scott & Laurie, sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald H. Clay, one brother, Paul Wright, and a Twin sister, Velda Boehmer.
Memorials may be made to Owosso Hospice or First United Methodist Church of Owosso. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.

Mia Mackenzie O'Boyle
Infant daughter of Jason and Toni (Willett) O'Boyle of Shepherd, Michigan was stillborn Sunday, September 29, 2002 at Central Michigan Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 1:00 P.m. at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, Michigan. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate with burial at Coe Township Cemetery, Coe Township, Michigan. Visitation will be at noon until the time of the service at St. Louis Church of Christ.
Mia is survived by her parents, one sister, Racheal O'Boyle, one brother, Collin O'Boyle, and Twin sister, Chloe O'Boyle, Maternal grandparents, Marty & Char Willett of Midland, Paternal grandparents, Gene & Carol O'Boyle of St. Louis, Maternal great grandmother, Nina Shelley of Flint, Paternal great grandmothers, Juanita Netzley of St. Louis and Esther O'Boyle of Alma, three Uncles, David Willett of Flint, Mark & Kelly Willett of Midland, Thad & Kim O'Boyle of St. Louis, two Aunts, Annette & Kent Hagen of Hamilton, Tammy Smith of St. Louis, also several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her Paternal & Maternal great grandfathers, and her Maternal great grandmother.
Memorials may be made to the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Alward-Carter Chapel, St. Louis.

Harold Ralph Hehrer
Age 69 of Ovid, Michigan passed away Sunday, September 29, 2002 at Owosso Memorial Healthcare in Owosso. He was a Lab Tech at Michigan Milk Producers Association and retired in 1995 after 37 years of service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at United Church of Ovid with Pastor Rob McPherson and Pastor Fred Fischer officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. to 8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. There will also be a Masonic Service Tuesday evening at 7:30 P.M.
Harold was born on October 12, 1932 in Elsie, Michigan, the son of Louis and Edna (Brewbaker) Hehrer. He graduated from Petoskey High School with the Class of 1951. On February 9, 1957 he married Nancy Gilbert in Ovid, Michigan. He was a member of Elsie United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Ovid Lions Club, Masonic Lodge St. Johns-Ovid Chapter #105, Past Associate Guardian in Jobs Daughters, served on many committees in the United Methodist Church, and also served on Ovid Carriage Days committee. He resided most of his life in the Elsie and Ovid area.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hehrer of Ovid, 1 daughter, Cindy of Ithaca, 2 sons, Tim & Lisa of Virginia, and Ken & Kathy of Ovid, 7 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathon, Eric, Kevin, Jessica, Meghan, and Sarah, 4 sisters, Marie & Robert Justice of Petoskey, Evelyn Lewis of Traverse City, Janice & Robert Kasik of Roscommon, Pauline & Mel Stodola of California, 3 brothers, Gerald & Juanita Carroll of Elsie, Howard & Joan Hehrer of Rockford, and Jerry & Bonnie Hehrer of Owosso, together they cared for 44 Foster children, and he is also survived by his sister & brother in laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Ron Hehrer and Lyle Carroll.
Memorials may be made to Lions Club First Sight Program or Arthritis Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
