Alma Louise Hammond
Alma Louise Hammond age 98 of Corunna died Saturday, January 20, 2001 at Autumwood Nursing Home in McBain, Michigan
Funeral services will be Monday, 2:00 P.M., January 22, 2001 at Smith Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Visitation will be Monday 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Owosso, Michigan. Pastor Jonathan Balge will officiate.
Alma was born in Shiawassee County on February 13, 1902 the daughter of Louis A. and Anna ( Ruess ) Otto. She resided most of her life in Shiawassee County. On June 26, 1929 she and Floyd W. Hammond were married. Floyd died February 7, 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Owosso and a former member of the Salem Lutheran Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Patricia Hammond of Cadillac, Michigan, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 1 brother David Otto of Laingsburg, Michigan, several nieces & nephews. Her parents, husband and 2 sons Wilber & Jim and 2 brothers predeceased her.
Memorial can be made to Salem Lutheran Church in her memory.
Charlotte M. Runyan
Age 60 of Corunna, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan. She was an office clerk at Michigan Brick having worked there 30 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 2000 at 11:00 A.m., at Smith Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rev. James Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Tree Cemetery in Corunna. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7-9 and Thursday 2-9 with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 P.m.
Charlotte was born in Owosso, Michigan the daughter of Ernest Maynard & Lucille Mae (VanHorn) Mallery. She graduated from Corunna High School with the Class of 1958. On April 30, 1960 she married Larry E. Runyan in Corunna, Michigan. She was an Auxiliary member of the Shiawassee Dog & Gun Club and resided most of her life in the Corunna area.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Runyan of Corunna, two sons, Mike (Sheri) Runyan of Durand, and Jon (Jeri) Runyan of Corunna, five grandchildren, Sheridan, Heather, Cassie, Jonathon, and Steven, and one sister, Elaine (Leonard) Klatt of Corunna.
She was predeceased by her parents, and a granddaughter, Hallie.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

Electa Lou Hier
Age 70 of Burton, passed away Monday, September 25, 2000 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She was a retired Cardiac Nurse.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2000 at 11:00 A.m. at Smith Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Rev. Clifford Furness will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Owosso. Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday evening from 7-9 and Wednesday 2-9 with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 P.m.
Mrs. Hier was born on June 14, 1930 in Elsie, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd Leo & Mildred Alberta (Wiltse) Molloy. She graduated from Owosso High School and Lansing Community College. On February 14, 1991 she married George E. Hier in Perry, Michigan. She was a member of Owosso Eagles, Aerobic Swimming at Davison Racket Club, Chippewa Hills Gold Club, and a 10-year member of T.O.P.S. Survivors include her husband, George Hier of Burton, 5 children; Geri (McCoy) Wells of Oregon, Terrie (Denny) Parker of Middleville, Gary (Nancy) Green of Plainwell, Larry (Becky) Green of Mackinaw Island, and Kerry (Sherry) Green of Corunna, 8 stepchildren, 40 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, 1 sister, Evalene Longdo of Nashville, MI, also many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Bill Molloy, one son and a daughter.
