Michael J. Myrick
Age 20 of Ithaca died Sunday, September 17, 2000 as a result of an auto accident in Gratiot County, Michigan.
He worked for Andy T’s in St. Johns, and Carpetland in Saginaw.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at 1:00 P.m. at Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel, with Rev. Merlin Pratt officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday 4-9 with the family present from 4-6 and 7-9 P.m.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on September 17, 1980, the son of Crystal Dawn (Sullivan) Simone, and Charles Eugene Myrick. He enjoyed fishing, Go-Karting, and playing pool. He resided most of his life in the Clio, Ashley, and Ithaca area.
Survivors include his mother, Crystal & Dave Simone of Ashley, father; Charles Myrick of Kentucky & Myra of Tennessee, two sisters, Angela Simone of Ashley; and Mandy Myrick of Tennessee; grandmother, Eleanore Sullivan of Clio, and his fiancé, Cassie Worden of Ithaca, also several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Eddy W. Sullivan, and a Aunt, Kathy Sullivan.

Marcella J. Brown
Age 87 of Elsie passed away Sunday, September 17, 2000 at Ashley Healthcare Center.
Marcella was retired from Owosso Memorial Hospital’s kitchen as a baker.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at 2:00 P.m. at the First Baptist Church, Elsie, Michigan. Pastor Murl Eastman will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery in Fairfield Township. Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday 7-9 and Tuesday 2-9, with the family present from 2-4 and 7-9 P.m.
She was born in Ithaca, Michigan on February 24, 1913 the daughter of John & Cora Della (King) Addison. She graduated from Bannister High School, 2nd in a Class of 12 in 1930. She went to Detroit Business Institute and graduated from there in 1932. On September 18, 1937 she married Chris Paul Brown II in Rochester Colony. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elsie, and also belonged to Farm Bureau. Survivors include her husband; Chris of Elsie, two daughters; Paula & James Lightfoot of Simi Valley, CA, and Sheila & Wayne Morey of Carland, one son, Carl & Nancy Brown of Elsie, one daughter-in-law, Elaine Brown of Laingsburg, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, one son; Chris Paul Brown III, one sister, and three brothers.

Nickolas Kurczewski
Age 90 of Ovid, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2000 at his home.
He was retired from Visoneering Engineering in Fraser, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2000, at 2:00 P.m. at Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel, with Mr. Thomas Bradley officiating. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday evening 7-9 P.m.
He was born in Poland on March 3, 1910. He Hazel Lucovitch. She passed away on November 13, 1979. Survivors include one daughter; Pauline Sourek of Ashley, two sons; Eugene Karaffa, and Fred Kurczewski both of Sterling Heights, eight grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, one son, Gary Kurczewski, and one daughter, Loretta McAlanon.

Lillian I. Linman
Age 90 of St. Johns formerly of Elsie , died Friday, September 15, 2000 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in St. Johns.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel, with Rev. Merlin Pratt officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, Michigan. Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday 2-9 with family present 2-4 & 7-9.
She was born in Marion Springs, Michigan on October 31, 1909 the daughter of John & Dora ( Rohde ) Gimm. She graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1929 and she was a homemaker. On October 21, 1929 she married Albert Linman in Bannister, Michigan and he died June 2, 1989.
Survivors include 2 sons, A.C. and Dora Mae Linman of St. Johns, Harry Arthur and Darlene Linman of Clio, 4 grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and nieces & nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, John & Earl Gimm and a sister Margaret Jackson. Memorials can be made to the American Lung or Cancer Research Association
