Robert F. Masters
Robert F. Masters, 77, of Charlotte, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at his residence. Robert was born April 29, 1931 in Convis Township, Calhoun County, the son of Frank and Emma (Jones) Masters and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a lifelong farmer and had been employed at the Woodland Metal Co., Michigan Carton, Croell Carton and St. Regis Paper Co. from where he retired with 30 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Doris (Lynd) Masters; three children, David Masters of Florida, Shirley (Thomas) Rinckey of Charlotte and Larry (Kathleen) Masters of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Patricia, Laura, Eric, Sarah and Taryn; two great grandchildren; and sisters, Lois Shaver of Charlotte and Delores Carleton of Olivet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Howard “Pat”, William, Wayne “Hank” and Paul “Manny”.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Winford Collins officiating. Interment was in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet.

Amy May
Amy “Arlene” May, 96, of Charlotte, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009. Mrs. May was born Feb. 26, 1913 in Eaton County, the daughter of W. Frank and Lara (Fittro) Jordan.
“Arlene” enjoyed cooking needlepoint and reading. She also liked being outdoors and spending time at the lake. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1985.
She is survived by her son, Dean (Janet) May of Charlotte and daughter, Donna (Gary) Hoffer of Ithaca; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 16, at the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Reverend Arthur Salisbury officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids.

William McAdam
William McAdam, 67, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Mr. McAdam was born Dec. 16, 1941 in Royal Oak, Mich.
He was a 30-year employee of General Motors, Lansing.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; son, Douglas McAdam of Battle Creek; daughter, Melissa Schlaff of Ariz.; son, James (Jody) McAdam of Charlotte; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; mother, Eileen; brother, Robert; sister, Nancy Gregg and Aunt Gerry Douglas.
A family affirmation service was held Friday, July 17, 2009 at Pray Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at Fairview Cemetery in Homer, Mich., at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009.

Ricky McCartney
Ricky L. McCartney, 52, of Charlotte, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009. Mr. McCartney was born Feb. 6, 1956 in Charlotte, the son of George and Betty (Pruden) McCartney.
Mr. McCartney was a custodian for the State of Michigan. Ricky enjoyed fishing and working on his 1971 Chevelle. He will be remembered by many for always helping out others.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leo Farr.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Terina McCartney of Gulfport, MS; son, Ricky McCartney, Jr. of East Tawas; three grandchildren; brothers, Walter Farr, Charles Farr, and Roger McCartney.
The funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at Pray Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Saunders officiating.

Nancy Lee McClean
Nancy Lee McClean of Eaton Rapids, age 83, passed away at the Eaton community Hospice House in Charlotte, Thursday, May 7, 2009. Nancy was born in Allen Park, December 12, 1927, the daughter of Paul and Alma Chamberlin. She was a retired secretary for Michigan National Bank and a longtime Avon representative. She was an avid card player and participated in a special card club for many years. Nancy most enjoyed playing games with her children and grandchildren and she loved to play the piano.
Nancy is survived by her children, John Larry (Marlene) True, Kathy (Carlton) Wells, Dana (Wendy) McClean; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Betty Hardy, Jimmy Chamberlin, Richard Chamberlin, Barbara Louise Ellis.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5301 M-99 Dimondale, in Eaton County. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Nancy to the Eaton community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran Rd. Charlotte.
Christopher McCrimmon
Christopher Allan McCrimmon, 34, of Charlotte, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Sparrow Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the International House of Prayer in Haslett with Pastor Tom VanDyke officiating. Burial took place in Rose Cemetery in Bath.
Christopher was born on December 25, 1974 in Lansing, the son of Gregory and Robin (Jensen) McCrimmon. He attended most of his high school years at East Lansing High School where he played football and they won the state championship in 1991. He then graduated from Bath High School and played football at Alma College. On March 31, 2007 he married Tasha Gilding in Charlotte. Chris loved his family very much, was a great gather, husband, son, grandson and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Chris was an avid MSU sports fan and also was involved in coaching, umpiring, refereeing and playing sports. He loved the outdoors and cooking. We will miss you greatly Chris, especially your smile, your spirit and your great heart.
He is survived by his wife Tasha; two children, Jensen and Madison; brothers, Matthew of East Lansing and Mark (Raquel) of Holt; parents Gregory and Robin; grandparents, Fred and Barbara Jensen of Lansing and Mildred McCrimmon of Marion, Wis.; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert McCrimmon.

Charles “Charlie” McGlaughlin
Charlie McLaughlin, 67, born Aug. 7, 1943, the son of Charles Herbaugh and Josephine McGlaughlin, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2009 at his home in Florida.
Charlie grew up in West Windsor (Potterville), graduated from Charlotte High School in 1960, and furthered his education at Michigan State University where he was later employed and retired.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Herbaugh of Englewood, NJ, mother Josephine McGlaughlin, step-father Ray McGlaughlin of Potterville, and step-brother and step-sister John Herbaugh and Shirley Brower, both of NJ.
Charlie is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Stacey (Paul) Karvoski of Oregon, sisters JoeAnn (Tom) Nehmer of Vermontville, Mary Nelson of Evansville, Indiana; brother, John (Penny) McGlaughlin of Harrison and step-brother Bob Herbaugh of NJ.
The family has respectfully honored Charlie’s request for cremation and no services. Condolences’ may be sent to wife, Carol McGlaughlin, 2025 Dipper Loop, The Village, Florida 32162.
Eilene McKee
Eilene E. McKee, 92, of Charlotte, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009. Mrs. McKee was born May 7, 1916 the daughter of Harley and Florence (Chatfield) Day.
Mrs. McKee retired from the State of Michigan where she worked in the Licensing Bureau. She was a former member and Sunday school teacher of South Baptist Church in Lansing. Mrs. McKee was an avid cat lover and at one time had over 200 cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and brothers, Billy Day and Dorence Day.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Day of Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at Pray Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Royston officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.

Connie McLane
Connie Lou (Cooley) McLane, 73, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died on Sunday, August 30, 2009. She was a manufacturer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte.
Elberta McLane
Elberta Jean McLane, of St. Luis, Mich., formerly of Charlotte, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at the Carson City Hospital. Mrs. McLane was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Bellevue, the daughter of Clark Foster and Grace Elberta (Farley) Luce and had lived most of her life in Eaton County except for the last 2 ˝ years in St. Louis.
Before her children were born, she had worked for Post Cereals in Battle Creek. She was a member of the Good News Pentecostal Church of God in Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by four sons, Joseph Allen McLane, Jeffery David McLane, Jerold Lee McLane and Brian Keith McLane and her brother, Russell Luce.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Carroll L. McLane; daughter, Mary Ann (Thomas R.) Lobdell of St. Louis; son, John Mark McLane of Charlotte and two sisters, Marge Luce of Galion, Ohio and Evelyn Eichholz of Plainwell, Mich.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Elbern Householder officiating. Interment was in the West Carmel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may go to the Good News Pentecostal Church of God in Charlotte.
