Robert Marvin Julian Fuller
43, of Mulliken, Michigan, died Saturday, September 14, 2002. Mr. Fuller was born June 22, 1959, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Robert Marvin Julian Fuller, Sr. and Patricia (Drown) Fuller. Mr. Fuller was an assembly worker at B.O.C. in Lansing until his retirement in 1993. He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Deborah; daughter, Tara; son, R. J.; father, Robert, Sr.; brother, William Fuller and fianc?, Sue Tice of Lansing; and sister, Janice (Robert) Brewster of Indiana, 9 nieces, 5 nephews and many friends and family. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia, in 1990. His interests included computers, books on tape, and playing with his two dogs. He was a long term patient of the kidney dialysis unit at Mid Michigan Dialysis Center and appreciated the care and kindness of the many doctors, nurses and staff there. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Denise Marie Wells
went home to her loving Lord and Savior Jesus on Monday, September 23, 2002. Mrs. Wells was born March 10, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan. She moved to the Vermontville area in 1980 and proceeded to make the entire community her friend. Helping others was her greatest pleasure including, Christmas baskets, Vermontville Fire and Ambulance as a First Responder, room Mom, baseball Mom, many will remember her 7 years at the Ole Cookstove alongside her husband Nyle, and the list goes on. She is survived by her best friend and husband Nyle, children Annie Wells of Lansing, Ryan (Michelle) Wells of Charlotte, Dena Burton of Lansing, the joy of her life 5 grandchildren Ravin, Kali, Brian, Austin, Cameron, parents Fred and Maryann Gagne, sisters Peggy (Gary) Peterman, Teresa (Bryan) Hall, Eva (Mark) Wozniac, Maryann (Terry) Walter, brothers Paul and Freddy Gagne, Father-in-law Laws Carroll, mother-in-law Phyllis Wells, sister-n-law Sally (Steve) Remple, brother-in-law Robert (Sandi) Wells, sister-in-law Faith (Chris) McDowell, grandfather William Skelly, special Aunt and Uncle Betty and Sterling Wells, 23 nieces and nephews, as well as an innumerable host of friends. She was preceded in death by her son David in 1976. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday 7 - 9 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, Michigan. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2002 at Pray Funeral Home, with Rev. Glenn Litchfield and Rev. Don Roscoe officiating. Dorothy Ann Evans
83, of Charlotte, Michigan, died Tuesday, September 24, 2002. Mrs. Evans was born October 7, 1918, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Albert L. and Anna (Haak) Hart the oldest of seven children. She attended Nashville Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved her children, grandchildren and was so proud of her husband's paintings. She is survived by son Howard (Connie) Evans of Dowling, Michigan; son Dean (Annie) Evans of Houghton Lake, Michigan; daughter Judy (Calvin) Oles of Dowling, Michigan; son Alan (Rose) Evans of Middleton, Michigan; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brother Dayol Hart of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Darlene Cook of Dimondale, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Evans in 2000, grandson Daren in 1986, her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2002 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, Michigan with Pastor Lester DeGroot and Pastor Dino Lamphere officiating. Herman Henry Nieters
90, of Dimondale, Michigan, died Sunday, September 29, 2002. Mr. Nieters was born November 8, 1911, in Rockville, Minnesota, the son of Bernard Nieters and Mary (Jaskin) Nieters. He worked as a machinist for Olofsson Specialty Products in Lansing until retirement. He is survived by daughters Kathleen (Jerry) Beasley of Dimondale and Linda Martinez of Charlotte; grandchildren Jeffrey Beasley, Rebecca Briggs, Bernard Andrews, Anthony, Stephen, Kenneth and Rhonda Martinez; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Allie Nieters of Minnesota and Ted (Angie) Nieters of Colorado and sister Margaret Thole of Ionia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline, who died in 1987. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Charlotte with Rev. Father Denis R. Spitzley officiating. A Reading will be held Tuesday, October 1, at 7 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, Michigan. Interment will be in Windsor Township Cemetery in Dimondale. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at Pray Funeral Home.
Dorothy B. Tirrell
99, of Charlotte, Michigan, died Tuesday, October 01, 2002. Mrs. Tirrell was born November 25, 1902, in Kalamo Township, Michigan, the daughter of Bert and Myra (Shellenbarger) Bell. She was a school teacher at the Munson Country School and the "Old" Washington School. She attended Eaton County Normal School and Western Michigan University. She was a member of the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Church Membership Secretary. She was also a member of the I Go-U-Go Club, Charlotte Grange, and Eaton County Farm Bureau - Loyal Suburbanites. She loved visiting the folks in the area foster care homes and volunteered at Eaton Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by sons Donald (Donna Jeanne) Tirrell of Charlotte, Jack (Marian) Tirrell of Charlotte, 6 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband E. Kenneth Tirrell in 1982, grandson Allen Tirrell in 1988, and sister Beulah Wilson in 2000. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2002 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. 74, of Charlotte, Michigan, died October 4, 2002. Mrs. Gibson was born November 17, 1927, in Wheelright, Kentucky, the daughter of James D. and Angeline (Orretta) Pishner. Annie was a very loving and caring person. She loved people, embroidery, collectibles and macrame'. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Kendall Gibson of Charlotte, Robert David (Ethel) Whitaker of Charlotte, Joseph Vincent (Melissa) Whitaker of Charlotte, Tamara Ellen King of Charlotte, Brenda (Leslie) Cox, Phillip (Lema) Gibson of Mousie, Kentucky, Geraldine (Herbie) Stamper, Clem (Don) McDaniels, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters Doloras Harris of Charlotte, Vena (Otis) Newsome of Charlotte, and Victoria (Columbus) Martin of Bevinsville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by sister Mary Ellen Nance and brother Joseph Rossi. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2002 with Father Robideau officiating at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, Michigan. Annette Marie Monroe
47 of Charlotte, died November 2, 2002. Mrs. Monroe was born April 19, 1955 in East Chicago, Indiana. Annette grew up in Highland, Indiana where she attended Our Lady of Grace grade school. She then moved to Battle Creek in 1967. She was the owner of Flowers by Annette in Charlotte and brought a lot of beauty into the lives of many brides, sweethearts, family and friends through her floral artistry. She enjoyed bowling, doing crafts and especially loved her Yorkie, "Radar". She is survived by husband Mike, daughter Krista (Scott) Roberts of Olivet, stepsons Chris Monroe of St. Petersburg, Florida, Dave Monroe of Pensacola, Florida, Andy Monroe of Dearborn, grandchildren Grant Roberts, age 9, Jenna Roberts, age 8, mother Anna (Deistler) Wiles of Charlotte, father Thomas Pouch of Illinois, sister Laura (Bruce) Jennings of Battle Creek, brother Russell (Barb) Pouch of Charlotte, sister Suzanne St. Johns of Jackson, 5 nieces and nephews. 84, of Charlotte, Michigan, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002. Anna Mae was born September 6, 1918, in Vermontville, Michigan, the daughter of Ray and Hattie (Bale) Hawkins. She enjoyed weaving and bingo with her "nickels" she won going to her grandkids. She is survived by sons Larry (Barbara) Schaub of Charlotte, Jack (Cathy) Schaub of Nashville, Michigan, daughter Patricia (Larry) Wright of Charlotte, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brothers Elwood Hawkins of Grand Ledge, Michigan, sisters Eleanor Rawson of Byron Center, Michigan, and Lucille Carroll of Portland, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John, and brother Lawrence Hawkins. Nellie Harvey
90, of Nashville, Michigan, the daughter of Marion and Mabel (Eldridge) Hummel. Mrs. Harvey was born July 29, 1912, in Odessa Township, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Pennock Hospital, Hastings, Michigan. She retired from Fisher Body in Lansing. Nellie enjoyed playing bingo and cards, traveling, family parties, enjoyed being with her family, and was a member of the Nashville VFW Post 8260. She is survived by daughters Dorothy Ilene Collier of Nashville, Donna (Ray) Olmsted of Nashville, Opal (Wesley) Gillons of Hastings, Michigan, sons Joe (Ginny) Harvey of Vermontville, Michigan, Bob Harvey of Nashville, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sister Rosie (Donald) Thompson of Vermontville, several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Norma Hummel and Betty Hummel. Predeceasing her were husband Gayle Harvey in 1955, daughter Elizabeth Bodo in 2001, brothers LeRoy Hummel, Allen Hummel, Glen Hummel, Dick Hummel, sisters Ella Walton, Reta Erridge, Joyce West, Elaine Laiben, June Wellman and infant brothers Raymond, Burt and Charles Hummel. 91, of Charlotte, Michigan, died Thursday, November 7, 2002. Mr. Wyble was born March 1, 1911, in Kalamo, Michigan, the son of Thomas and Cecile (Rolf) Wyble. Robert was production worker for AE Hoover for 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, helping his neighbors and coffee at McDonalds. He is survived by companion Bernie Eaton, daughter Alice (James) Lundeen of Charlotte, Michigan, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Ted Wyble of Lansing, sister Lois Rich of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. His wife Madeline preceded him in death in 1980. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2002 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, Michigan with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. She is survived by: husband of 45 years Paul Kerekes; 2 sons, Steve Kerekes and Mike (Donna) Kerekes, both of Charlotte, MI; daughter Kelley Smith, Hobe Sound, Florida.; 4 grandchildren, Christy, Jennifer, step-grandchildren Matt and Nathan Yager; "sister" Joyce Swan, South Haven, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Howard Swan in 1999. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2002 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Tom Evans officiating.
