Elsie Williams
Elsie Williams, 79, of Charlotte, died Thursday, March 27, 2008.
She was born Nov. 16, 1928 in Lansing, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Denham) Phillips.
Mrs. Williams owned Garfield Lake Tavern for several years and also worked at the Charlotte Airport.
She enjoyed traveling all over with one of her favorite stops being in Las Vegas or Reno where she would play the slots.
Mrs. Williams also liked spending time on the Pacific Coast where she would go Deep Sea Fishing.
The most memorable moments of her life were spending time with her grandchildren, playing Dominoes and Cards with her family and enjoying her circle of friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Williams in 2002 and a grandson.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bernard; daughter, Terry (Terry) Wellman-Hansen; daughter, Jo (Mike) Davis; son, Mark (Denise) Williams; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Fran (John) Rodden.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Reverend Rich Mitterling officiating. Interment will be at Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet, at a later date.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice House, Charlotte, MI.

Gary Willoughby
Gary Willoughby, 58, of Bonita Springs, Fla., died April 11, 2008.
Formerly of Charlotte, he had been a resident of Bonita Springs since the early 1990s.
Gary was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Viet Nam War.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Laurita; children, Brain and Cassie Willoughby, both of Michigan; mother, Peggy Bruce; father, Roy Willoughby; brothers, Roy S. and John R. Willoughby.
Burial will be at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Walter Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, Bonita Springs.
John Woods
John L. Woods, 87, of Charlotte, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008.
Mr. Woods was born Aug. 6, 1920 in Detroit, the son of Joseph and Anna (Bachor) Woods.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Erma; son, Lawrence (Sharon) Woods of Westland; daughter, Karen Woods (Larry Bourland) of Charlotte; son, Gary (Barbara) Woods of Gaylord; son, Brian (Jane) Woods of Honolulu HI; daughter, Donna (Michael) Bennie of Atlanta, GA; son, David (Julie) Woods, of Birmingham AL and son, Alan (Carrie) Woods of Birmingham, AL; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 14, 2008 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI.

Sallie Woodworth
Sallie Woodworth (Speer), 58, of Lansing, died Jan. 29, 2008.
Mrs. Woodworth was born Dec. 25, 1949 in Dansville, the daughter of Hugh and Nora (Rappleyea) Speer.
Sallie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to Spartan Speedway to watch the races, going for long rides to see the countryside and watching western movies.
Gardening flowers was a favorite hobby of Sallies as she was quite a green thumb.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Woody); daughter, Pamela (Mike) Palmer of Charlotte; daughter, Tammy (Anthony) Rodriguez of Charlotte; son, Tom Foster of Charlotte; daughter, Jo Case of Mason; stepson, Robert Woodworth, Jr.; stepdaughter, Kelly (Gary) Barnard; 19 grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn VanEtten and Bernice Hill; brothers, George Speer, Hugh Speer and Chuck Speer.
A memorial service was held Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008 at Pray Funeral Home with Terry Brickley officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Charles J. Wrigglesworth
Charles J. Wrigglesworth, went to meet Jesus on July 23, 2008 from the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale, FL.
He was born April 1st 1940 in Battle Creek, MI, graduated from Marshall High School in 1958, moved to Eaton Rapids, MI in 1974 and then to Lakeland, FL last fall.
He was 68 years old.
He retired from General Motors in 1990 after 26 years of service.
Mr. Wrigglesworth served in the Army during Vietnam from 19065 to 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Ruth Wrigglesworth, son Daniel, and 3 grandsons.
Mr. Wrigglesworth is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhea Glass Wrigglesworth, 3 daughters – Kristina Parker & Pam (Elpedio) Cruz, of Eaton Rapids; Debra (Frank) Willis of Texas; stepdaughter Dolene (Severo) Vargas & stepson Donald C. (Kathy) Lippert of Eaton Rapids; foster sons Walter (Valerie) Render of N. Carolina & Gerald (Melanie) Dankenbring of Lansing.
One sister, Evelyn Peterfish of Battle Creek.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday August 2nd, 2008 at the Wesleyan Church in Eaton Rapids at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frank Klassen officiating.
There will be no graveside service.
Charles Wright
Charles A. Wright, 76, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
Charles was born July 10, 1931 in Lansing, the son of Robert H. and Marian (Claflin) Wright and was a life resident of Eaton County.
He was a 1950 graduate of Vermontville High School and had been employed at Fisher Body Division of General Motors from where he retired after 31 years of service.
He had been a member of the Capitol Area Radio Drone Squadron, the Mid Michigan Model A Club of Lansing and the Crank and Throttle Model A Club of Olivet.
He was a former stock car race driver at Capitol City Speedway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marian Wright and a brother, Robert Wright.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Janet (Ferris) Wright; six children, Debra (Gary) Gearhart, William Wright, Candace (James) Patterson, Sandra (Daniel) Vandlen, Renee (Jerry) Bellon and Robin (George) Blanche; grandchildren, Janelle (Scott) Duffey, Marcie (Ryan) Graham, Gary (Karmen) Gearhart, Douglas Patterson, Tara Bellon, Jimi Bellon, Jerry Bellon, Daniel Vandlen, Emma Vandlen, Elizabeth and Andrew Blanche, Kelly and Matthew Dye, Jessica and Michael Carpenter; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Martens and brother-in-law, Clair Ferris, Jr.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with John Bailey, Minister of Charlotte Church of Christ officiating.
Interment was in the Gresham Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may go to the Charlotte Church of Christ.
