Steven Cyphert
Steven Randall Cyphert, 52, of Charlotte, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 4, 1954 in Brookville, Penn., the son of Edward and Erma (Bigley) Cyphert. He was involved with band boosters, Community Theater, Frontier Days and Relay For Life, but his greatest treasure were his daughters and grandchildren. He was married to Carolyn Jean Hope on June 9, 1984; she survives him.
Other surviving family members include; father, Edward “Jack” Cyphert and stepmother, Carole Cyphert; children, Starr (Hope) and Kenny Milligan, of Havelock, N.C., Kristina (Cyphert) and Brian Dimock, of Hales Corner, Wisc. and Tawna Cyphert, of Charlotte; grandchildren, Darious, Dominick, Kendra, Kaitlyn, Breanna, Megan and Cody; sister, Gwendolyn Jeanne (Cyphert) and Jason Dieter, of Charlotte and brother, Robert and Karen Schmader, of Hastings.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, with Pastor Robin Crouch officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.

Florence Czechowski
Florence A. (Zmitrewicz) Czechowski, 83, of Lansing, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at the Eaton Community Hospice House in Charlotte. Mrs. Czechowski was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Adolph and Ann (Kalenic) Zmitrewicz and had been a Lansing area resident since 2000.
She was a member of the St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Lansing. (Delta Township).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Czechowski; son-in-law, Gene Layman; brothers, Edward and Frank Zmitrewicz and sister, Stella Ciminelli.
Surviving are, her daughter, Geraldine Layman of Lansing; her son, Henry E. (Mary Louise) Czechowski of West Senaca, NY; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one sister, Rita Spencer of Buffalo, NY.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Services were held Aug. 3, 2007, at the St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing.

Dallas “Bob” R. Dalrymple
Dallas “Bob” R. Dalrymple of Onondaga, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2007, at the age of 66.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nancy, five children, Michelle (Jerry) Weigel, Teresa Dalrymple, Annette (Joe) Mollette, Laurie (Charlie) Dalrymple, Dallas (Cathy) Dalrymple, Jr., two stepchildren, Debbie (LeRoy) Dowding, David Sorenson, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three sisters, Betty (Howard) Bodell, JoAnn Herrick, Joyce Croft, step-sister Debbi Cornell, step-brother, Butch Burke and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dorothy (Smith) Dalrymple, one great grandchild, sister, Patricia Rae and step-father, Dawson Burke. Bob owned and ran the Dalrymple and Son Farm Service in Onondaga and was a member of the Onondaga Fire Department.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Services of the Sparrow Foundation, PO Box 30480, Lansing, MI 48909-9986. Arrangements are being handled by the J.C. Adams Funeral Home, Leslie Chapel.
Joseph Daly
Joseph Daly, 76, of Bellevue, died July 16, 2007 at Laurels of Bedford. He was born Feb. 17, 1931, the son of Ernest and Emelia (Ouellette) Daly in Salem, Massachusetts.
Joseph served in the U.S. Navy from 1949 until retiring from the Navy in 1969. He also worked at Michigan Carton until 1982. Joseph enjoyed classical music and theater, holding season subscriptions to the Battle Creek Symphony and The Barn Theatre. He was also a passionate cribbage champion.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Daly in 1996; and by his first wife, Carolyn Daly in 2000; brothers, Roland and Robert Daly; and step-son, Don Dilno. He is survived by his sons, Joseph (Catherine Coray) Daly of New York City, David (Donna) Daly of Charlotte, Stephen (Michele Cowan) Daly of Bellevue, Paul (Jodi) Daly of Marshall; daughter, Elizabeth Daly of Bellevue; step-children, Eric (Terry) Dilno of Battle Creek, Martin Dilno, Jan Clemens and Mary (Byron) Renfro, all of Texas; 22 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brothers, Ernest and Roger Daly; and sisters, Lucienne Pelletier, Rita Bergeron and Lorraine Brown; and dear friend and companion, Rose Greene of Battle Creek.
Graveside services were held July 20 at Riverside Cemetery, Monsignor Raymond Goehring, St. Ann Catholic Church, Bellevue, officiating.
The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue.
Marlene Sue Davids
Marlene Sue Davids, 53, of Acworth, Ga., died April 26, 2007.
Born in Charlotte, Mrs. Davids had worked in the cafeteria for the Cobb County School system for seventeen years. She was a wonderful wife, the best mom and mother-in-law. Her favorite role was that or “Grammy” to her grandchildren, Coral and Christian. She always told them “you’re my heart” and she meant it with every fiber of her being. A special thank you to her best friend, Ginger Suttles and her brother, Freddie Burt, for your support, love and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertie Corbin Burt; brothers, Larry Burt and Jerry Beahm.
Survivors include her husband, Mike L. Davids; daughter-in-law, Leslie Lynn Davids; grandchildren, Carol and Christian Davids all of Acworth, Ga.; father, Glen Burt of Charlotte; brothers, Fred (Lisa) Burt of Crossville, Allan Burt of Charlotte, Gary (Julie) Burt of Mulliken, Doug Brut of Battle Creek; sisters, Sandy (Dean) Parrish of Charlotte, Lois Kettner of Charlotte, Margie (Ed) Johnson of Grand Ledge, and Judy (Don) Thornhill of Franklin, Ga.
Memorial services were held at Branches of Christ in Acworth April 28 with Rev. Scott Crowder officiating. Arrangements were handled by Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.

Clyde W. Davis
Clyde W. Davis of Onondaga, age 82, who would have turned 83 in June, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007. Clyde worked as a journeyman welder for Oldsmobile for over 35 years, retiring in 1981, and was a lifelong farmer, celebrating 50 years of owning “THE FARM”. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, was a life member of Jean R. Anderson VFW Post 7309 in Mason, Post Commander, belonged to Cootie-Pup Tent 73, and served as Post Chaplin. He married Olive Marie Earl on July 24, 1948, and they spent nearly 57 years together until her death in 2005. Preceded in death also by his parents, Elmer and Bessie (Skinner) Davis; brother, George; and sister, Gladys Maranka, Donna Goddard, and Dolly Reed.
Clyde is survived by his children, Carol Tibbitts of Jackson, Jeanne (Fred) Davis, and Douglas (Connie) Davis, all of Onondaga, and Daniel Davis of Haslett; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy “Dot” David of Bellevue, Marion Lieberman of Live Oak, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518n S. Main, Eaton Rapids with interment following at Onondaga Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. He often told his children that he had a full life. Memorial contributions may be made to the Battle Creek Veteran’s Hospital or American Cancer Society in memory of Clyde W. Davis.
Darlene G. Davis
Darlene G. Davis, 73, died Jan. 16, 2007 following a brief illness. She was born July 20, 1933 in Vermont.
She was a GM retiree. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived be her sons, Kenneth (Jamie) Clark, Randy (Lisa) Clark, Daniel (Kathy) Clark; daughter, Tracy (Dennis) Putman; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dick (Lorraine) Sanderson, Dave (Marsha) Sanderson; sister, Doreen Devenger; three step-daughters; and three step-sons.
There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Darlene Davis to the Eaton Community Hospice, 2675 S. Cochran, Charlotte, Mich., 48813.
A memorial service will be held in Vermont in the spring.

Romaine “Abe” L. Davis
Romaine “Abe” L. Davis, 75, of Charlotte died Saturday, Dec. 15. Mr. Davis was born March 5, 1932 in Ithaca, the son of Lionel and Burneta (Schaub) Davis.
Mr. Davis and Mrs. Kim Davis, his wife, operated a trucking business and Lake Pump Tavern in Lake Odessa as a husband & wife team. He was an avid motorcycle rider who rode Harley Davidson’s before buying his “Big Honda.”
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kim; son, Kim (Peggy) Davis of Eaton Rapids; daughter Roxanne (John) Ripley of Kalamo; son, Kim Davis of Charlotte; seven grandchildren, Ryan Stubblefield, Russell Cox, Tyler and Corey Davis, Rachael, Kyle and Jessica Davis; three great grandchildren, Zakary and Breanne Stubblefield and Preston Gillman; mother-in-law, Shirley Casler; in-laws, Dan Casler, Lisa and Bill Green, Doug and Betty Miller, Clifton and Debbie Casler and Rick Monroe; he was loved and will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews; Ashley Casler, Jonathan, Michaela Walker, Nathan Miller, Joseph and Andrea Monroe, Lori Ann, Alex Green, Just, Jacob, Joshua, Jami and Jenni Casler.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Steward; step-father, Curly McClure, father-in-law, Clifton (Neil) Casler and sister-in-law, Lori Monroe.
Funeral services were Dec. 19 at Pray Funeral Home, with Charles Jensen officiating. Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
Carl W. Davison
Carl W. Davison of Jackson, formerly of Eaton Rapids, passed away in the presence of his family and Great Lakes Hospice on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the age of 86. Carl retired from Hayes-Albion Corporation after 30 years of service, was a Navy Veteran of WWII, an avid outdoorsman, and a well known fisherman. He also enjoyed golfing. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Donald and Robert; two sisters, Genevieve and Kathryn.
He is survived by four sons, Roger Davison of Wichita Falls, TX, Bruce (Sheila) Davison of Lake Somerset, Craig (Diana) Davison of Jackson, Scott (Denise) Davison of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on March 17, 2007 at the Fellowship Baptist Church, Clarklake, MI, with Pastor Daniel White officiating. Julia Mae Dawley
Julia Mae Dawley, age 85, of Eaton Rapids died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at a Lansing Hospital. Born July 4, 1922 in Aurelius Township the daughter of Joseph Henry and Everline (Rathbun) Owen. Julia retired from Lansing General Hospital in Housekeeping. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Eaton Rapids. Preceding her in death was her husband of 36 years, Leo Dawly.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Tom) Hanna of Eaton Rapids, Dick Dawley of California, Sandra (Ward) Orr of Eaton Rapids, Beverly (Leroy) Bouts of Eaton Rapids, Saundra (James) Scott of Eaton Rapids, Lorraine (Nathan) Clark of Eaton Rapids and Janet Kent of Grand Rapids; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Burial will follow in the Munger Cemetery in Eaton Rapids. Casket bearers will be Jeff Sanders, Ward Orr, John Sanders, Leroy Bouts, Robert Schultz and Dick Dawley. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to either the Assembly of God Church or Gideons in memory of Julia M.
