Maurice Miller
Maurice L. Miller, 77, of Potterville, died Saturday, March 10, 2007. Mr. Miller was born July 17, 1929 in Napoleon, the son of Delbert H. and Bertha (Aiken) Miller.
He was a retired custodian for the Lansing School District.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gisela (Flamme) Miller; and by brothers, Gerald and Virgil Miller.
Surviving are his son, Paul (Leona) Miller of Copperas Cove, Texas; daughter, Terry Ann Miller of Waco, Texas; three grandchildren, Aaron, Kristen and Bethany all of Texas; sister, Bernadine Riley of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 14 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with Pastor Rogeň!K. Straub ofćčbiating. Interment was in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Donis Miner
Donis C. (Fletcher) Miner, 85, of Owosso, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007. Mrs. Miner was born July 22, 1922 in Charlotte, the daughter of J. Kenneth and Bernice (Mary) Trescott Fletcher.
She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1941 and attended Ferris State University for a year before marrying Clement Eugene Miner Dec. 1, 1944. They lived on a farm south of Owosso since 1955, interrupted by a move by the Bendix Corporation to Chester, Massachusetts for 1 ˝ years, followed by a move to Andres, Indiana where they retired and moved home to the Owosso farm.
She was preceded in death by brother, Douglas Kenneth (Phyllis Jean) Fletcher.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clement; son, Lynn Douglas (Caren) Miner; grandson, Matthew Eugene Miner and Aaron Francis Miner and sister Frances Ruth DeBar.
A graveside service was held Nov. 10, 2007 at Gresham Cemetery, with Rich Mitterling officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Louis Mix
Louis H. Mix, 82, of Vermontville, died Thursday, March 15, 2007. Mr. Mix was born Sept. 20, 1924 in Kalamo Township, the son of Paul and Nellie (Malone) Mix.
His family was very important to him as was his community. Mr. Mix was a veteran of World War II and served on the USS North Carolina. He enjoyed serving his community and was a member of U.A.W. Local 602, Happy Years Club, Charter Member St. Mary Knights of Columbus Council #11875 and Lifetime Member of VFW Nashville Post #8260. In 1985 he retired from General Motors/Fisher Body as a forklift operator. He was an excellent judge of character, looking at people from the inside out.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry "Tate" in 2003.
Louis was a beloved husband, loving father and grandfather. In 1945 he married Eva Shereyk and had sons, Jeffrey of Vermontville, Kevin (Linda) of Grand Ledge and daughter, Vicki (Ron Dean) of Hastings. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Pam Mix. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Maria, Jeffrey, Renee, Lisa, Jason, Aaron, Nathan and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Nathan; and brother, Azel (Elaine) Mix of Wyoming, Mich.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. March 20 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Father Denis R. Spitzley officiating. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo Township. Rosary Service was held March 19 at 7 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Eaton Community Hospice or to the St. Mary Catholic Church Building Fund.

Lillian Moffitt
Lillian Moffitt, age 85 of Eaton Rapids, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007 in Lansing. Lillian was born August 27, 1921 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Raymer) McGilvra. She was a member of the Eaton Rapids Nazarene Church and a member of the Eaton Rapids Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E., Sr.; 2 grandchildren, Tim Squires and Cindy Jones. Lillian is survived by 3 daughters, Deanna (Darrell) Alldaffer of Eaton Rapids, Carol (Earl) Jones of Eaton Rapids, and Bobbie Felkey of Howell; son, Russell, Jr. (Ruth) Moffitt of Eaton Rapids; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Maxine Miller of Eaton Rapids.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main, Eaton Rapids, with Pastor Dallas McFarland officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Nazarene Church of Eaton Rapids, in memory of Lillian Moffitt.
Linda Momany
Linda (Vitale) Momany died in her home in Peoria, Ariz. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007 after a long and very courageous battle with inflammatory breast cancer. She was born Dec.15, 1944 in Charlotte.
She was predeceased by first husband, Michael Hill in 2006.
She is survived by her five children, Michael Vitale, twins, Jeffery and Diana Hill, and twins, Stacie and Kristi Momany; future son-in-law, David Rivera; five grandchildren, Travis Hill, Michael Chavez, Roman Vitale, Collin Momany and Alex Momany; brothers, Robert and Mark Vitale; sister, Vicki (John) Bradford; former husband, Dana Momany of Arizona; and by her good friends and extented family, Junie and Lonnie Hinkley and family, Shelly and David Rivera and family and Ace Archer.
Linda's life was celebrated on Sunday, Feb. 28 with a beautiful memorial service in Peoria, Ariz. Linda brought joy and laughter to all her family and friends and she will be so greatly missed by all those who loved her.
Charles Elwin Mooney
Charles Elwin Mooney, age 92, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Eaton Rapids Medical Center. he was born on December 19, 1914 in Howe, Indiana the son of George and Inez (Plank) Mooney. Mr. Mooney was a Brighton High School graduate class of 1933 and in 1936 married Ruth Lehmer. They moved to Adrian shortly after WWII started and had lived there for the past 65 years. Charles was a retired Machinist, serving 35 years, with Tecumseh Products in Adrian. He and his wife Ruth had been members of the First United Methodist Church in Adrian for the past 60 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth in July of 2006; a daughter, Linda Mooney in September of 2006; brother, George Mooney Jr. and sister, Evelyn Gadsen.
He is survived by a son and his wife, Norman and Jean Mooney of Eaton Rapids and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Me4thodist Church at 1245 W. Maple Ave. Adrian, MI 49221. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in memory of Charles E. Mooney. The family is being served through the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids.
April Ann Moon
April Ann Moon, 38, of Lansing, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007. Ms. Moon was born April 1, 1968 in Charlotte, the daughter of Douglas Moon and Judith (Beals) Wisinski.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Moon; grandfather, Milton Moon; brother, Doug Moon; aunts, Cathy Murray, Rosemary Gould and Beverly Beals; and uncles, Ray Beals and Russell Beals.
She is survived by her parents, Leonard and Judy Wisinski; grandmother, Rowena Moon; step-brother, Kenny (Linda Dientefass) Wisinski; step-sister, Patricia (Cliff) Thretheway; aunts, Linda (Ray) Winter, Robin Moon, Shirley (Amos) Ellsworth, Mary Ellen Beals and Debbie; uncles, Stanley (Aletha) Beals, Roger (Yvonne) Beals, Bruce (Elaine) Beals, Renold Lawrence (Joyce) Beals; nephews, Michael and Zackary; niece, Melissa; many cousins and special friend, Bernard Bacon.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb.13 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Rev. Perry Purcell officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the Huntington's Disease Society of America.

Rocco Moore
Rocco Ray Moore, 52, of Charlotte, passed away Dec. 21, from an apparent heart attack. Rocco was born March 31, 1955, in Charlotte, the son of Donald and Charlene (Laverty) Moore.
Rocco was an outstanding basketball and football player at Charlotte High School, and went on to play offensive lineman for Western Michigan University, where he was named All Mid-American Conference.
In 2005, Rocco was honored by being named to the Western Michigan University All-Century team. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1977 and in 1980 he wore #71 for the Chicago Bears.
After returning to Charlotte, Rocco Became a mortgage broker, owning Big Roc Funding and Rocco Moore Mortgage Specialists.
Rocco leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa; sons, Colton and Sam; and daughters, Savhanna and Cheyenne; his adoring parents, Don and Charlene Moore, his sisters, Connie Burgess, and Candy (Ron) Karr; and many nieces and nephews.
An affirmation service was held Friday, Dec. 28 at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center to celebrate the gift of Rocco's life.
A memorial trust fund has been set up at National City Bank for the benefit of Rocco's children.
