Dustin Parr
Dustin J. Parr, 32, of Bellevue, died June 12, 2007 as the result of a motorcycle accident near his home. He was born March 18, 1975, the son of Gordon F. and Bonnie B. (Madry) Parr in Battle Creek.
Dustin worked as truck driver for companies in the area. He enjoyed collecting guns, riding his motorcycle, driving and working on his pickup truck and having fun. He loved his children and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy (Pratt) Parr.
Dustin is survived by his children, Gage, Kaitlin and Ryan Parr all at home in Bellevue; parents, Gordon and Bonnie Parr of Bellevue; brother, James Parr of Bellevue; paternal grandfather, Richard Parr of Bellevue; maternal grandparents, Charles and Gladys Madry of Bellevue; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are welcome to visit from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue. Services will take place 11 a.m. Monday at Bellevue Christian Center, Pastor Steve Covert, officiating.
Memorials may be made to a trust fund for his children.

Lola Patterson
Lola Barber Patterson, 82, died Sept. 27, 2006 at the Parkview Care Center, Osborne. Lola was born June 2, 1924 in Lansing, the daughter of Floyd and Margaret Rounds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Floyd Rounds; brothers, Floyd Rounds and Reginald Rounds; sisters, Dorothy Roll, Blanche Hurshman and Betty Bradstreet; one son, Ronald E. Bullock; and husband, Raymond E. Patterson.
She is survived by three daughters, Anna M. Evans of Downs, Kan., Patricia L. Williams of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and Carol L. Bullock of Sisters, Ore.; one son, Bradford K. Bullock of Chehalis, Wa.; five sisters, Margaret Graham of Charlotte; Carolyn Bowen of Bellevue, Elsie Wolover of Vermontville, Joanne Rugg of Bellevue, Ardean Gonser of Vermontville; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 3, 2006 at Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Dan Smith of Vermontville Bible Church officiating. Casket bearers were Dawn M. Thomas, Shelly R. Michals, Dennis K. Buron, Kimberly A. Denning, Donald D. Evans, Peter D. Adrianson and Darian L. Graham. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek.

William Patton
William R. (Bill) Paton, 74, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Charlotte, died on April 7, 2007, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bill was born Aug. 10, 1932 in Grafton, Ill., graduated from Jerseyville High School, enlisted in the Air Force and served in Korea. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana and began his career with Owens-Illinois at the Alton, Ill. plant, and retired in 1989 from the Charlotte plant where he was the plant engineer.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Grace (Brown) Patton of Alton, Ill., twin infant daughters Beverly and Brenda, and infant daughter Laurie; parents Calvin and Viola (Cope) Patton; sister, Vera Patton Skeens and brother, Gilbert Patton.
Bill is survived by his children Pamela Patton of Grand Rapids; Mark (Stacey) Patton of Clearwater, Fla.; Sandy (Chas) DeCarlo of Hudsonville; Jeff (Regina) Patton of Royal Oak; and grandchildren Stephen and Meagan DeCarlo of Hudsonville, as well as many nieces and nephews.
At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be buried next to his wife at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, Ill. Interment is scheduled for June 11.
Carol Sue (Jaseph) Peck
Carol Sue (Jaseph) Peck, 65, passed away May 15 at Three Rivers Health.
She was born in Kalamazoo Dec. 26, 1941 the daughter of Harold and Gertrude (Ayers) Jaseph.
Carol resided in Three Rivers after retiring from the Charlotte Public Schools after 20 years of service and also Heartland Health Care Center of Three Rivers. She enjoyed cooking and baking and the joy of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Larry Jaseph in 2005.\ Surviving are her loving family, six children; Harold (Valerie) Peck, Suzanne (Peck) Childs (Dan Maynard), Roy Peck, Kristy Peck, Lester (Shannon) Peck, and Chad (Cathy) Peck; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Garvie, Jennifer (Chris) Broskey, Adam (Kayla) Childs, Joshua Childs, Elizabeth Westrate, Cory Westrate, Johnney Peck (Goggin), Rebecca Peck and Olivia Peck; great grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Broskey, and Allison Garvie; brothers, Roger (Scherry) Jaseph, Rex “Bill” Jaseph, and Samuel Jaseph.
Services were held May 18 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Nelson Hall officiating. Interment followed at Poe Cemetery. Memorial may be donated to the Heartland Health Care Auxiliary Fund. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
Leland E. Peck
Leland E. Peck of Eaton Rapids, age 91, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007 in Charlotte. Leland was born April 14, 1915 in McKinley Twp, Cass County, MN, the son of Leland Lee and Mabel (Orr) Peck. He retired as a welder from Warner-Swasey in Lansing and farmed for many years. Leland always had a great garden and was a wonderful story teller. On November 21, 2006, Leland mounted a neighbor’s horse and rode around the family farm. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Opal O. Peck in 2000; 2 brothers, Harland and Robert Peck.
Leland is survived by his 2 nieces, Donna Jean (Robert) Zentmyer of California, Terrelene (Dale) Swetland of Grass Lake; nephew, Larry (Cindy) Peck of Hillman; 2 cousins, Janet (Dick) Wendorf of Florida, Ward (Sandy) Orr of Eaton Rapids; several grand nieces and grand nephe3ws; his best old friend “Spotty” (who has joined him in heaven); and a host of friends and neighbors. There will be no services.

Daniel Perkins
Daniel J. Perkins, 55, of Charlotte, died Monday, March 26, 2007. Mr. Perkins was born Aug. 26, 1951 in Battle Creek, the son of Melvin and Rosemary (Swift) Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was an employee of Owens Illinois from 1971 - 1985. He enjoyed finishing projects around the house, cars, the outdoors and going camping up north.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin and his brother, Douglas.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Marie and his mother Rosemary Perkins.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 28 at Pray Funeral Home with Charles Jenson officiating. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo Township.

Earl J. Perkins
Earl J. Perkins, 75, of Grand Ledge died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007 at the Ingham Regional Medical Center, Greenlawn Campus. Earl was born July 18, 1931 in Hamlin Township of Eaton County, the son of Earl and Nancy (Price) Perkins and was a lifelong Eaton County resident.
He was a retired tool and die maker and machinist having been employed at IMPCO of Lansing for 14 years. Prior to that he worked at Portland Products Co. and also at Aluminum Extrusions in Charlotte for a short time. He had served in the U. S. Marine Corps and also the U. S. Air Force. He served during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Perkins.
Survivors include his wife, Julie (Merrill) Perkins; daughter, Samantha M. Peariso of Mackinaw City; granddaughter, Tabatha Peariso; and his sister, Maxine.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Memorial services were held Feb. 17 at the Mason Church Of Christ, 821 N. Cedar St. in Mason, with Ron Brown officiating. Memorial contributions may go to the American Cancer Society.

Marceline Perkins
Marceline J. Perkins, 79, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Marcy was born Aug. 12, 1927 in Hollister, Wis., the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Pratt) Roberts.
Marcy was a tac welder in a shipyard in Sturgeon Bay , Wis. on Liberty Ships during World War II. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Adrian and worked on Habitat for Humanity houses in Lenawee County. She belonged to the Ladies Elks Society at one time serving as president. She enjoyed camping with the Hitch Up and Go Club. She also taught ballroom dancing and in 2000 she moved to Charlotte and became a member of St. Mary's Church. She also joined Eaton Area Senior Center and was on the Advisory Board, and there she enjoyed many friendships. She was active at the St. Vincent DePaul food bank and a member of the Thornapple Dulcimer Society.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Rudwin, Richard, Roman and Russell; sisters, Marie Bricco, Mildred Eckhart, Meta Roberts and Myrna Besaw.
She was the beloved wife of Paul, he survives. She is also survived by her sons, Robert (Mary) Perkins of West Des Moines, Iowa, Kenneth (Gabriela) Perkins of Tucson, Ariz., Michael (Catherine) Perkins of West Bloomfield and Ronald Perkins of Charlotte; daughters, Karen (Earl) Hixson of Lansing and Pauline Perkins of Lansing; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Kathy) Roberts and Raymond (Janet) Roberts; sisters, Maxine (Michael) Johnson and Margaret (George) Alberg; and sisters-in-law, Vera Roberts and Dottie Roberts.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Father Denis R. Spitzley officiating. Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society food bank. The family would like to extend special thanks to Jim Fradette for the thoughtfulness and professionalism shown to her and to the caregivers at Eaton County Medical Care Facility for the compassionate care given to Marcy and her family.

Esther Perry
Esther L. (Root) Perry, age 86, of Charlotte, passed away June 18, 2007 at the Hayes-Green Beach Hospital. Mrs. Perry was born Feb. 16, 1921 in Mulliken, the daughter of Alfred and Esther (Roth) Root and had been a Charlotte resident most of her life.
She was a member of the Charlotte Eagles Aerie #3552 where she had served as Charter President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to play Bingo and Gamble.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
Surviving are her husband, James Perry; four children, Richard (Elyse) Fogle of Holt, Vickie (Robert) Stojisavljevich of Crown Point, IN, Randall (Susan) Fogle of Charlotte and Kelley (Mark) Kane of Charlotte; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two sisters, Etta Hale of Mulliken and Luella (Freeman) Robinson of Charlotte.
At Mrs. Perry’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A memorial service was held June 21 at the Charlotte Eagles Aerie #3552, in Charlotte with Charles Jenson officiating. Interment of remains was in the Perry Cemetery in Brookfield Township.

Anthony Petrakovitz
Anthony Petrakovitz, age 83, passed away Wednesday, August 15 in a Veterans Hospital. He was born May 31, 1924 in Craswell, MI and resided in Eaton Rapids Township. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Francis Petrakovitz, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Tony served our country as a S. Sgt. of the Co 1 21st Army Infantry and received various medals and badges.
The funeral was held at the Veterans Hospital, 3000 Monroe Street, Grand Rapids, MI. Donations can be sent to the National VFW Home, 35735 S. Waverly Rd. Eaton Rapids, MI.
