Christopher Dunn
Christopher Ryan Dunn, 27, of Charlotte passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006.
Dunn was born May 12, 1979 in Charlotte, Michigan, the son of Ronald and Mary (Peterson) Dunn. Mr. Dunn was a graduate from Lakewood High School in 1997. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2002 with a degree in finance.
He was employed at Meijer in the security department. He is survived by his father, Ronald (Denise) Dunn, of Mulliken; mother Mary Dunn of Charlotte; brother Brian (Kelly) Dunn of Charlotte; sister Ronelle Dunn of Charlotte; and grandmother Loraine Peterson.
Services will be held Monday, July 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte.
Stephanie D. Edgecomb
Stephanie Dawn Edgecomb, 18, of Potterville, passed away Sunday, April 30 2006 following a lengthy and difficult illness. Miss Edgecomb was born March 9, 1988, in Lansing.
Stephanie was a brave young lady who faced many physical challenges throughout her short life. She was a loving person who focused her attentions on those around her to support them as they supported her.
She is survived by her mother, Eva Edgecomb; brother, Tony Edgecomb and his fiancée, Jesse Rachow of Lansing; daughter, Adalynn Edgecomb; Eva’s fiancé, Alan Hamilton, and his children Amber, Matthew, Mitchell and Aimee; grandparents, Robbie Magard, Joyce and Gerald Edgecomb and Duane and Ruth Ann Hamilton, all of Nashville, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and caregivers.
The family would like to express their appreciation of their close friend Jodi Graeber for her loving support to Stephanie and Eva.
Funeral services wee held May 3 at Pray Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Wing officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with Stephanie’s final expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Robert E. Eggleston
Robert E. Eggleston, 80, of Charlotte, MI, died Sunday, May 7, 2006. Mr. Eggelston was born October 27, 1925 in Maple Rapids, MI, the son of Edward and Sadie (Cowles) Eggleston.
Mr. Eggleston was a Truck Driver for Anchor Motor Freight where he retired after 40 years; he also served in the Navy on the USS Pennsylvania. He was an avid reader who liked to hunt and fish. Mr. Eggleston loved to drive and received several Driving Awards. He spent the last twenty winters in Texas staying at RV parks and working security in the summer at the Tri-Lake Trails Campground.
He is survived by his wife Diane; son, John Eggleston; daughter, Karrie McCullough of Charlotte; Son, Daniel (Lori) Eggleston of Lansing; sister Marge (Dick) Krahn of Wisconsin; sister, Helen “Kay” Wells of Charlotte and sister-in-law Nancy Eggleston of Charlotte. Brothers Donald and Lawrence “Sonny” Eggleston and sister Pat Hammond preceded him in death.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Charlotte with Pastor Robin Crouch officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Kalamo Township. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a Hospice in your area. Arrangements will be made by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
LaWayne Emerson
LaWayne Emerson, 71, of Olivet, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at the Eaton Community Hospice House in Charlotte.
LaWayne was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Charlotte, the son of Robert and Beulah (Thornton) Emerson and had been a lifelong Olivet are resident. He was a 1953 graduate of Olivet High School and had served eight years in the Naval Reserve. He had been employed at Eaton Manufacturing Co. of Battle Creek and later Masterbuilt Products Co. of Olivet from where he retired.
Surviving are: his wife, Carol E. (Reid) Emerson; two daughters, Linda J. (Bruce) Gross of Charlotte and Lorie A. (Peter) Brady of Battle Creek; one grandson, P.J. Brady; five step-grandchildren, Josh, Sarah and Leah, Brady, Valorie Wilcock and Michael Gross; two sisters, Shirley Moore of Wyoming and Janetta (William) Shilling of Olivet; two brothers, Jerrold (RoseAnn) Emerson of Charlotte and Lee Emerson of Olivet and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte, with Bruce Maurer officiating.
Memorial contributions may go to Eaton Community Hospice, Lifespan or Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
Ivas E. Endsley
Ivas E. Endsley, 73, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born May 12, 1933 in Convis Township to William E. and Mabel M. (Jones) Manning.
Ivas married Rex F. Endsley, July 30, 1949. He died Sept. 6, 2004. Ivas enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening and bird watching.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Burr, Dorr and Marr Manning and sister, Ivas Thompson.
Surviving are children, Max (Connie) Endsley of Bellevue, Sue (Ray) Rintamaki of Riverton, Wyo., Jack (Betty) Endsley of Bellevue, Iris (Mike) Hebenstreit of Olivet, Eric (Janice) Endsley of Newberry and Penny (Paul) Crim of Bellevue; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services took place Saturday, Nov. 18 at Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue, Pastor Bob Homan, officiating. Burial was in Wilcox Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bellevue First Responders.
The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue.
Robert B. Farlin
Robert B. Farlin, 64, of Bellevue, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006.
Bob was born July 22, 1941 in Charlotte, the son of Carl and Wilma (Stofflett) Farlin and lived most of his life in Eaton County. He was a member of the Eaton County Buck Club. He enjoyed Nascar, football, PBR, his grandchildren and his “Shed.”
Surviving are: his companion of 23 years, Judy LaPoint; children, Tammy Parks of Albion, Robert Farlin Jr. of Olivet, Greg Farlin of Coldwater and Barbara Farlin of Angola, Ind.; step-children, Daniel (Peggy) LaPoint Jr. and Mindi LaPoint, both of Bellevue; former wife, Carol Sue Morrison of Albion; sisters, Shirley (Don) Howe of California, Sue (Bill) Wilson of California and Elizabeth (Jim) Line of Colorado; brothers, Ed (Sue) Farlin of Charlotte and Warren Farlin of California; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Alice Farlin.
At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. There were no visitations or services.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family. Arrangements were by Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte.
George ‘Bill’ Farman
George “Bill” William Farman, 87, of Sunfield, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006.
Bill was born Jan. 20, 1919 in Grand Ledge, a son of Myron and Josephine (McPeek) Farman. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1946, serving in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Farman worked at the Vetrified Tile Factory in Grand Ledge, at Lansing Drop Forge, and retired from Consumers Power Co. in 1976 after 30 years. Bill was a member of Sunfield United Methodist Church, served as building chairman at one time, was past Lions Club president, and past library board president. His hobbies included wood crafting, and serving at Michawana Christian Youth Camp.
Bill was preceded in death by: both his parents; two children, Jeffrey Lee and Laura Beth; brother, Myron; and sisters, Jessi Farman and Catherine Sipperley.
Surviving are: his wife of 58 years, Barbara J.; four children, James (Jodi) of Richland, Bradley (Karen) of Grand Ledge, Beverly (Jeff) of Bath, and Julie of Flint; seven grandchildren, Jami (Jim) Oesch, Jessi (David) Christensen, Jonathan Farman, Megan (David) Guerriero, Peter Farman, Laura and Jenny Mason; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Garrett and Ashlyn Oesch, Lucas, Noah, Tyler and Zachary Christensen, Aidan and Madeline Guerriero; sister, Pauline Boynton; and two nephews, Nowell Sipperley and family in Lansing, and Wayne Sipperley and family in Sunfield.
Funeral services were held March 15 at Sunfield United Methodist Church, with a military service following at Sunfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gull Lake Bible Conference or Michawana Youth Camp. Arrangements were by Rosier Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield.
Karen Sue Farr
Karen Sue (Obrinske) Farr, 53, of Charlotte died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility, Charlotte.
Mrs. Farr was born in Marshall, MI the daughter of Russell and Gentry (Irvin) Obrinske and was a life resident of the Duck Lake, Olivet, and Charlotte areas. She was a 1971 Graduate of Olivet High School and graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Lansing Community College Nursing Program. She had been employed for 14 years at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility where she was the Director of Nursing. She was instrumental in the development of the new Eaton County Medical Care Facility and was a member of the National Association of Directors of Nursing. She previously had been employed at the Eaton Manor Nursing Home and Hayes Green Beach Hospital. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Rodney Farr; Daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Kling of Olivet; son, Andrew (Sascha) Odom of Charlotte; 3 grandchildren, Caleb and Drew Kling and Zoe Odom; her father, Russell Obrinske of Olivet; Brothers, Bruce Obrinske of Arizona, Walter Obrinske of Olivet, Rusty Obrinske of Olivet and Kevin Obrinske of Charlotte; sister, Cheryl (Tim) Skinner of Eaton Rapids; half sister, Kim (Todd) Culver of Boyne City; half brother, Pete Harvey of Boyne City; step sisters Cindy Miller of Charlotte, Vicki Reed of Nashville, Rhonda Presley of South Carolina and Patti Holley of Lansing; step brother, Les Holley of South Carolina; step mother, Midge Holley of Eaton Rapids and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and uncle, Walter Obrinske and grandma, Coy Irvin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday May 22, 2006 at Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Jack Brown of the Olivet Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Clarence Center Cemetery.
