He attended Maple Valley High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Fish and Wildlife in 1994. Early in his career, Bryan passionately volunteered his wildlife services in New Jersey Great Swamps and did research for MSU at Porcupine Mountains. Bryan married Jana Herron of Marlette Nov. 30, 1996 in Sandusky. From there they moved to Florida and eventually ended up in Georgia with a job on the Cumberland Island. Bryan and his family moved to Cadillac in 2004 to be closer to family and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the northern landscape.

Bryan will be deeply missed, from his great respect and love for animals and the outdoors, to his admiringly commitment to his family and the Lord. Memories of fishing, mountain biking, his ability of recognizing bird calls during family cookouts, and many great moments together with family will lighten our hearts and bring laughter during this very painful time for the family. We hold onto hope and faith because Bryan strongly lived his life in that way. Bryan and his immediate family are members of the First Baptist Church in Cadillac.
