D. Evyline Woodcock
D. Evyline Woodcock, 82, of Lansing, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing. Ms. Woodcock was born Dec. 2, 1924 in Pocahontas, Ark., the daughter of Jesse Levell and Vira (Payne) Friar.
She received an Associate degree from Lansing Business University and was a former City Clerk for the City of East Lansing. She was baptized April 17, 1938 and had been one of the original members of the Judson Memorial Baptist Church in Lansing, a past State President and member of the VFW Ladies Auxilliary, a former member of the VFW National Home Board of Trustees, and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
She is survived by children, Artha Summers of Polson, Mont., Diana Cosper of Lansing, Robert Woodcock of Eaton Rapids and Van Woodcock of Sunfield; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; and sister-in-law, Arvilla Friar of Illinois.
A memorial service was held Jan. 2 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, with her nephew, Lowell Friar officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The VFW National Home in Eaton Rapids.

Lena A. Woodman
Lena Arlene Woodman, 81, of Battle Creek died Saturday, Aug. 19. Mrs. Woodman was born June 14, 1925 in Eaton Rapids the daughter of LeRoy D. and Millie (Lewis) Claflin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald O. Woodman.
She is survived by sons, Gerald D. (Charlene) Woodman and Danny Woodman both of Battle Creek; daughter, Penny Dockum of Alma; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and her brother Harold (Sarah) Claflin of Ohio.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Aug. 24 at Bosworth Cemetery with Rev. Duane Royston officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan, Inc., 401 South Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Mich. 48858. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
James Douglas Woodworth
James Douglas Woodworth 75 of Charlotte, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 in Lansing, Michigan. Mr. Woodworth was born March 18, 1931, the son of Floyd W. and Thelma M. (Kirkpatrick) Woodworth. He had been a truck driver for Leaseway Transportation. James was a helpful and giving to others and his smile and laughter will be missed. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis L. (Sharp) Woodworth, son, Rick (Virginia) Woodworth of Charlotte; daughter, Renee (Thomas) Ellis of Dimondale; mother, Thelma Woodworth of Clare; granddaughter, Aniesa Ellis, who was his pride and joy; and siblings, John (Arlene) Woodworth of Clare of James Douglas WoodworthView memorial tribute, Richard (Geraldine) Woodworth of St. Louis, Michigan, Bonnie Lou Woodworth of Madison Heights, and Sandra (Larry) Hovey of Rosebush. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 4th, at the Charlotte Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Mark Woodbury officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte. If desired, contributions may be made to the Charlotte Assembly of God Church.
Douglas J. Workman
Douglas "Bud" J. Workman, 32, of Lansing, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006. Mr. Workman was born Oct. 6, 1974 in Lansing, the son of Roger and Judith (Russell) Workman.
Mr. Workman had worked in the stock department as a laborer for Spartan Motors. He was a caring, sincere, fun loving individual who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Everett and Genevia Russell.
He is survived by his mother, Judith (Russell) Workman; father, Roger (Marci) Workman sister, Traci (Joshua) Woodman; nephew, Zachary Woodman; niece, Elizabeth Woodman; grandparents, James and Vernal Workman; special family friend, Tammy Silvers and many aunts and uncles.
Memorial services were held Dec.1 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Pastor Bill Lawson officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Head Injury Foundation.

David A. Wrubel
David Andrew Wrubel, 47, of Charlotte, died Friday, Sept.15, 2006. Mr. Wrubel was born May 1, 1959 in Grand Rapids, the son of Norbert and Carmela (Reynolds) Wrubel.
Mr. Wrubel had worked for Meijer Distribution Warehouse. He enjoyed lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved being outdoors and playing sports like tennis, basketball and catch with his daughters. He also enjoyed gardening and landscaping and was an avid University of Michigan fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother Carmela in 2001.
He is survived by his former wife and friend, Susan Wrubel; daughters Kara and Jamie Wrubel; and siblings Bernard (Barbara) Wrubel, Marianne Wrubel, Michael (Debra) Wrubel, Daniel (Regina) Wrubel, Rosie (Edward) Glockner, Teresa (Jeffrey) Prior and Christopher (Veronica) Wrubel.
Funeral services were Sept. 19 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father James Eisele officiating. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Donna G. Wyskowski
Donna G. Wyskowski, 71 of Dimondale, formerly of Vermontville, died Saturday, July 1, 2006 at the Dimondale Center. Mrs. Wyskowski was born May 8, 1935 in Jackson, the daughter of William and Bertha (Ackley) Harmon.
She was a private health care aide for numerous families in the Eaton County area. Mrs. Wyskowski had been a long-time Girl Scout Leader and MDA volunteer and she belonged to the Vermontville Womens' Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in April 1999; daughter, Wilhelmina Combs in October 1999; brother, David Harmon in 1961; and her parents.
She is survived by sons, Harvey (Sheila) Wyskowski of Vermontville, Lyle Wyskowski of Lansing, Wesley (Carrie) Wyskowski of Grand Ledge, Walter (Marsha) Wyatt of Lansing and Wendy Pifer of Vermontville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Linda Olmstead of Charlotte.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 3 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, with Pastor Dave Cornwell officiating. Interment was in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Mulliken.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts of America or the Eaton County Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Kimberly Wyskowski
Kimberly Kay Wyskowski, 38, of Vermontville, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006. Mrs. Wyskowski was born Jan. 18, 1968 in Charlotte, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Becker) Summers.
The most important thing to Kim was her family, with granddaughter Taylor Kay as the light of her life. She enjoyed family canoe trips and the many happy memories they generated.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey "Skip" Wyskowski; children, Cortnee and Harvey III; granddaughter, Taylor Kay; parents, Charles and Esther Summers of Potterville; sisters, Traci Lynn (John) Shell of Lansing, Kristi (Scott) Dean of Nashville and brother, Paul (Sue) Summers of Eaton Rapids.
Funeral services were Oct. 13 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte with Reverend Michael Knauff officiating.

Irena “Gee” Zurek Zdzislawa
Irena Zurek Zdzislawa, age 74, passed away Monday, May 29, 2006 in Holt. Gee was born April 4, 1932 in Lodz, Poland. She came to America in 1981 from Poland and helped her daughter-in-law at Kris’s Kitchen in Eaton Rapids for 10 years.
She is survived by her son, Witold (Krystyna) Kusmierski of Holt; granddaughter, Catherine Kusmierski of Holt; 2 brothers, Zbigniew (Krystyna) Budasz of NY, Jerzy (Grazyna) Budasz of Poland; sister, Irena (Janusz) Szymczak of Poland; 3 nieces & nephews.
Mass of the Christian Burial was held on Thursday, June 1, 2006, at the St. Peter Catholic Church, Eaton Rapids, with Father Bennett Constantine and Father Stan Czarnota as Celebrants. Arrangements are by the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids. .
