William H. McAttee Sr.
William Holmes “Billy Mac” McAttee Sr., age 65, of Ten Mile, Tenn., formerly of Grand Ledge, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 13, 2004 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman, Tenn.
Mr. McAttee was retired from Oldsmobile after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his father, John McAttee, and stepfather, Whitey Hodgson.
He is survived by two sons, Randall McAttee and William H. McAttee Jr.; one daughter, Kimberly McAttee Fisher; his mother, Muriel Helen Hodgson; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Kay McAttee, Alan and Yvonne McAttee; five grandchildren, Amanda and Caleb McAttee, Alexis Burgan, Tra and Christopher Fisher.
A memorial service was held Jan. 17 at East Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel in Okemos. Graveside services followed with Pastor Norm Burger officiating.
Arrangements were by Davis Funeral Home in Harriman, Tenn.
Floyd R. McCrimmon
Floyd R. McCrimmon, 72, of Charlotte, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at his residence after a long illness.
Floyd was born Nov. 19, 1931 in Marion, the son of Charlie and Halla (Hartzog) McCrimmon and had been Charlotte resident for almost 26 years, coming from Nashville, Mich. He was a graduate of Marion High School, serviced in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a life member of Nashville VFW Post #8260. He had been employed at the AE/Hoover Group in Charlotte for 33 years and then for six years was an independent owner/operator truck drive for Crandell Brothers Trucking in Charlotte.
Surviving are his wife, Violet (Crandell) McCrimmon, to whom he was married April 28, 1979; one son, Floyd (Donna0 McCrimmon of Lake Ann; five stepchildren, Susan (Donald) Knight of Potterville, Duane (Kathy) Thompson of Charlotte, Karen (Keith) Tropp of Potterville, Ranee (Randy) Wickwire of Ionia and Carla (Donald) Nighbert of Olivet; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Wallace McCrimmon of Vermontville and Irvin McCrimmon of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sisters.
Funeral services were held July 19 at Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Pastor Darrell Clements officiating. Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery.

Harold P. McGinnes
Harold Proctor McGinnes, MD, 84, of Bloomington, Ill., died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at McLean Co. Nursing Home in Normal, Ill.
Dr. McGinnes was born April 24, 1920 in Charlotte, the son of Harvey Proctor McGinnes and Aura Edna Munroe. He married Elizabeth Jeanette Stubbs July 11, 1942; she survives. He attended Heartland Community church in Normal, Ill., and served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1948, obtaining the rank of captain. Dr. McGinnes was a retired physician and surgeon in Bloomington and Normal, Ill. He had served on the staffs at Brokaw Hospital, Mennonite Hospital and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. He was a surgeon with Surgical Associates in Bloomington. Dr. McGinnes graduated from Charlotte High School in 1938. He graduated from Michigan State College in 1942 and University of Michigan Medical School in 1945. He was a member of Fellow of American College of Surgeons, a nonresident member of Chicago Surgical Society, a founding member of Midwest Surgical Association, a member of Illinois Surgical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha, Phi, Kappa Phi, diplomate of American Board of Surgery, American Medical Association and McLean County Medical Associations. He had also been a member of the Bloomington Rotary since 1956.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Paul Richard (Cynthia) McGinnes of Palm Beach, Fla., and James Robert (Judy) McGinnes of Bloomington, Ill.; one daughter, Sue McGinnes of Bloomington, Ill.; one sister, Louise Clay of Charlotte; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service celebrating his life will be held at a later date at Heartland Community Church in Normal, Ill. His body was donated to medical science. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Roger D. McKee
Mr. Roger D. McKee, 68, of Vermontville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004 peacefully at his home.
Roger was born Sept. 15, 1936 in Charlotte, the son of the late Talvas and Marion (Bronnell) McKee. He was raised in the Vermontville area and graduated from Vermontville High School. He was employed as a forklift drive at A/E (Hoover) for 28 years until the company shut down in 1989. Roger then began working at Spartan Engineering until approximately 1996 when he retired. Shortly after retiring, Roger started working part-time taking care of Woodlawn Cemetery in Vermontville.
On April 10, 1956 at the Congregational Church in Olivet, he married Laura (Betz) McKee. Shortly after their wedding, the couple moved to the Vermontville area where they spent their lives together raising their children. The couple has been married for 39 years.
Roger was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and working in the garden; his true passion however, was fishing. It was not uncommon for Roger to be gone fishing two or three days during the week. Along with his beloved dog, Chevelle, he would spend hours exploring the best fishing spots in the area.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Laura; daughter, Lisa (Steve) Briggs; sons, Bradley (Brenda) McKee, Rick (Robin) McKee; sister, Connie (Joe) Briggs; five grandchildren, Adam, Steven, Cole, Austin and Chase; and several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Leslie (Briggs) Schantz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Richard.
Funeral services were held Oct. 9 at Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, with Rev. Courtney Suntken officiating. Interment was at Needmore Cemetery, Chester Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Joseph McKeon
Joseph Francis McKeon, 79, of Bellevue, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004 at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility.
He was born Oct. 2, 1924 to William J. and Estelle R. (Johnson) McKeon in Somerville, Massachusetts.
He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Lexington in the Pacific Theatre. Joseph was a truck driver for Central Transport for 32 years, retiring in 1986.
Joseph married Marie Josephine Anderson formerly of East Jordan on June 6, 1952 in Lansing. She survives. Also surviving are sons, Clinton (Tammy) Bates of Silver City, New Mexico, Michael (Lynn) McKeon of Bellevue; daughters, Pamela (Bill) Dixon of Boyne Falls, Nancy (Ron) Feher of Lansing; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Florence Noonan Holly of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William McKeon.
He was a member of the VFW 8260 in Nashville and the Bellevue-Olivet American Legion.
Joe loved his family, his dogs and sitting outdoors in the shade. He loved music, playing his guitar and writing a song entitled, “Joe’s Blues.”
Friends may call 2 until 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Shaw Funeral Home, Lehman Chapel, Bellevue. No services are scheduled.

Barbara McLaughlin
Barbara Davis McLaughlin, 92, passed away peacefully in her cherished home in Charlotte, Friday, June 18, 2004, only two blocks from where she was born.
She was born Feb. 25, 1912, the daughter of Doremus and Hazle (McWilliams) Davis. After graduating from the University of Michigan, she was the director of her own residential school for mentally challenged children, Tanglewood School. In 1937, during the Depression, she and her husband, the Honorable Ion C. McLaughlin, built their dream home, and raised their three children there. She was proud to be a Mayflower descendant and had a lifelong passion for dolls.
She is survived by her three children, Barbara Suzanne Izzo, James C. McLaughlin and Mary Ann Hobbs; six grandchildren, Victoria Izzo Gutierrez, Alexander Izzo, David Hobbs, Anne Marie Hobbs Stallings, Frank McLaughlin and Kevin McLaughlin; three great-grandchildren, Rene, Felicia and Barbara Gutierrez; sister, Ann Meyer; five nieces and eight nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in August 1990.
Graveside services were held June 26 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Charlotte.

Aiden R. McLendon
Aiden Ross McLendon, 4 days old, of Charlotte, passed away at University Medical Center in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.
Aiden was born Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, the son of Curtis and Amanda McLendon.
He is survived by two sisters, Michaela Maree Stahl and Faith Kathryn McLendon of Charlotte; grandparents, Michael and Alana Stahl of Charlotte, Sally Stahl of Eaton Rapids, Karen McLendon of Potterville and Rex McLendon of Charlotte.
Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, with Rev. Rebecca Morrison officiating.
Arrangements were by Pray Funeral Home of Charlotte.
Nora M. McPhee
Nora M. McPhee, 96, of Charlotte, died Thursday evening, Aug. 19, 2004 at Hospice of Lansing Residence.
Mrs. McPhee was born July 25, 1908 in Eaton County a daughter of Stephen and Catharine (Pearl) Crosslan. A long-tine Windsor township resident, she was a former member of the 39ers.
Mrs. McPhee was preceded in death by her husband, Evan H. McPhee in 1977; her son, Harold E. McPhee in 1991; her daughter, Katherine L. Gaines in 1996; her grandson, John P. Gaines in 1995; and her son-in-law, Lloyd LaValle in 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Dona LaValle of Harrison and Merna (Loyd) Crippen of Dimondale; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Dorene McPhee of Charlotte.
Services were held Aug. 23 at Field & Leik Funeral Home, Dimondale, with Pastor Don Woolum officiating. Final resting place is at West Windsor Cemetery. Honorary bearers were Mark Crippen, Lon Konkus, Lloyd LaValle, Loren LaValle, Bill Moening and Russell Morris.
