Clayton Wyble
Clayton Herman Wyble, 86, of Charlotte died June 14, 1999.
Mr. Wyble was born March 31, 1913 in Kalamo Township, the son of Thomas and Cecile (Rolfe) Wyble. He worked for Oldsmobile for 27 ½ years, retiring in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Goldie (Baker); one daughter, Barbara (Ward) Loveless; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob of Charlotte and Tex of Lansing; and two sisters, Lois Rich of Eaton Rapids and Mildred Treloar of Charlotte.
Graveside services were June 18 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte, with R. Raymond Rossell officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements were made by the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
Robert D. Wymer
Robert D. Wymer, age 70, of Parma died Wednesday, August 25, 1999 in Lansing following an auto accident in Eaton Rapids. He was born January 29, 1930 in Jackson, the son of Ned and Esther (Lampart) Wymer. Mr. Wymer was the owner and operator of Wymer’s Auto and Truck, Inc. in Parma for the past 20 years. He was an active member of the Community Christian Church in Eaton Rapids.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Nina; 4 children, Donald (Val) Wymer of Springport, Sandra (Austin) Lee of Eaton Rapids, Karen (Larry) Clouse of Grass Lake and Robert (Katharine) Wymer of Parma; mother, Esther Wymer of Parma; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 1999 at 11 a.m. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with the Rev. Stephen Klink of the Community Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Tompkins Cemetery at Tompkins Center in Jackson County. Pallbearers will be Austin Lee, Eric Lee, Matt Wymer, Brian Daughenbaugh, Jim Nichols and Larry Clouse. For those desiring, a memorial contribution may be made to the Community Christian Church building fund in memory of Robert D. Wymer.
Kenneth Wyne
Kenneth O. Wyne, 80, of Charlotte died April 3, at his residence at 432 Prairie St.
Mr. Wyne was born in Madison, IN, the son of Raymond and Ruth (Ford) Wyne. He was a Civil Engineer with MDOT and retired in 1982. Mr. Wyne was a veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific theater of operation with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, two sons, Don (Christine) Wyne of Howell, Norman Wyne of Longwood, FL; one daughter, Janet (John N.) Reed of Potterville; two brothers, Ray (Louetta) Wyne of Petersberg, IN, Elmer (Billie) Wyne of Hanover, IN; sister, Mildred (Howard) Fewell of Madison, IN.
Funeral services were held April 7 at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Darwin Kuhl officiating. Interment was at Maple Hill Cemetery.
If desired memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Charlotte Public Library. Arrangements were prepared by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
E. Jack Young
E. Jack Young, 77, of Ocqueoc, formerly of Charlotte, died April 11, 1999.
Mr. Young was born in Charlotte, the son of Florence and Elmo Young. He grew up in Charlotte and was a 1939 graduate of Charlotte High School. He owned and operated Young’s Jewelry Store on main street in Charlotte for over 35 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn; one daughter, Suzanne (Tom) Jones of Dimondale; two sons, Mark (Terri) of Bellevue and Paul (Diane) of Alpena; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
There were no services. According to his wishes, the cremains were scattered over Lake Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congressional Church United Church of Christ, Charlotte.
Marilyn Young
Marilyn Mae (Canfield) Young, 76, formerly of Charlotte, died Aug. 23, 1999 at her home on Lake Huron.
Mrs. Young was born Sept. 17, 1923 in Bronson, the daughter of Homer and Ruth (Bushnell) Canfield. She came to Charlotte with her family in 1934 when her father was engaged by the Vaughn Co. of Albion to manage their Charlotte department store. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1941 and received her nurse’s cap from the Battle Creek Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. In 1945, E. Jack Young received his discharge from the U.S. Air Force and they were married Nov. 15, 1945 at the Bronson Congregational Church. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1995.
She will be remembered for offering her nursing skills for the regular blood drives over the years in Charlotte. She also served the Barry and Eaton County Health Department as a nursing home inspector for several years and sat on the Board of Directors of Hayes Green Beach Hospital, Charlotte.
She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne (Thomas) M. Jones of Dimondale; two sons, J. Mark (Terri) Young of Bellevue and Paul Canfield (Diane) Young of Algona; one sister, Phyllis (Robert) Cole of Olivet; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Jack Young April 11, 1999.
There were no services.

Sara Beth Yutzy
Sara Beth Yutzy of Charlotte died at her home June 3, 1999.
Sara Beth was born Jan. 22, 1999 and was the first child born to William and Martha (Miller) Yutzy. She was four months and 12 days old.
She is survived by her parents; her grandparents, John Junior and Elizabeth Miller, and Fred and Sara Ann Yutzy, all of Vermontville; aunts, uncles, and nine cousins in Michigan, Missouri, and Kansas.
Services were June 6 at the family’s residence, 5322 Lamie Road, Charlotte, with Ray Hochstetler officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Cemetery, Vermontville Township.
Ida Zakshesky
Ida (Trumble) Zakshesky, 86, of Vermontville died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999.
Mrs. Zakshesky was born Feb. 13, 1913 in Bellevue, the daughter of Ora (Whitbeck) and Stanley Stevens. She was a housewife and bar owner in Vermontville, and a member of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, Kalamo O.E.S. #399, American Legion Post #42, Vermontville Chamber of Commerce and St. John’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; one daughter, Sally Crouter of Lansing; three sons, Stanley (Mary), Larry (Carolyn), and Leo (Phyllis), all of Vermontville; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 19 at the St. John Episcopal Church with the Rev. Carol Spangenberg officiating.
Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville.
Arrangements were made by the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
