Ned Williams
Ned Blackwell Williams, 15, of Pawley’s Island, S.C. died November 16, 1999.
Mr. Williams was the grandson of Thom and Marilyn (Wilmore) Sullivan, formerly of Charlotte.
Stephen Willis
Stephen Willis, 61, of Bellevue died June 7, 1999 at the Battle Creek Health System.
Mr. Willis was born May 3, 1938 in Bellevue, the son of Laurel and Hazel (Rarrick) Willis. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1958, where he had played football, basketball and baseball as a student. He once struck out 17 of 21 batters he faced as an all-conference selection for BHS. He played city major baseball in Battle Creek for the Halstead Grocery team and has a no-hitter and several one-hit games. He was selected as an all-star pitcher on the Far East Baseball League while stationed in Korea while serving in the U.S. Army as a private first class from 1958-60. He retired in 1995 from the Kellogg’s, after serving as a head machine operator with 29 years and was a member of the Kellogg’s 25-Year Club. He married Jennifer Burroughs April 30, 1977 and enjoyed restoring cars, woodworking, deer hunting and collecting knives.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his mother, Hazel Willis of Bellevue; one daughter, Renee Ann Willis of Olivet; one son, David James Willis of Olivet; one stepson, Mark Brunt of Battle Creek; one stepdaughter, Shawn Campbell of Bellevue; four grandchildren; one sister, Boni Long of Eaton Rapids; and two brothers, Donald of Bellevue and Robert of Hot Springs, Ark.
Services were June 10 at the Shaw Funeral Home, Bellevue, with the Rev. James Gysel officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery, Bellevue.

Margaret M. Windfuhr
Margaret M. (Shadduck) Windfuhr, 88, of Charlotte, formerly of Lansing, died Nov. 28, 1999 at Hayes Green Beach Hospital, Charlotte.
Mrs. Windfuhr was born in Eagle Township, Clinton County, the daughter of Leo and Hazel (Avery) Shadduck and had been a Christmas resident for four years, coming from Lansing. She was a 1931 graduate of Lansing Eastern High School, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Holt and attended the Ainger Bible Church, Olivet. She was one of the early-licensed women pilots in the state of Michigan and a member of the Ninety Niner’s Flying Club. She was also an accomplished musician and had taught piano. She was a member of the Matinee Musicale, had done musical volunteer work at the Beekman Center, Lansing, volunteered at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Battle Creek, and was a Red Cross volunteer. She was also an avid sportswoman, enjoying deer hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. With her late husband, she had traveled extensively to many locations around the world and was a lifelong member of the Liederkranz Club of Lansing. She married Eric Windfuhr May 30, 1936.
She is survived by one sister, Madeline Smith of Plainwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Sept. 30, 1973; one sister, Evelyn Parker, and one brother, Charles Shadduck.
Memorial services were Dec. 2 at the First Presbyterian Church, Holt, with the Rev. Bruce Brooks and the Rev. Scott Brook officiating. Interment will be in the chapel Hill Cemetery, Lansing. Arrangements were made by the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte.

Austin Wing
Austin Scott Wing, age 1, of Bellevue, died June 30, 1999.
Austin was born Aug. 8, 1997 in Marshall, the son of Scott and Cammi (Chapman) Wing.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Jacob and Caleb; grandparents, Bob and Aleta Chapman and JoEllen Wing; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alan Wing.
Services were held July 3 at Gorsline-Runciman Co., Lansing Chapel, with Pastor Tom VanDyke officiating.
David Wolcott
David Wolcott, 54, of Charlotte, died Nov. 21, 1999.
Mr. Wolcott was born May 15, 145 in Charlotte, the son of Thomas and Ruth (Barrett) Wolcott. He served in the Army 82nd Airborne Division in Vietnam, was a member of Eagles Lodge #3552, Moose Lodge #228, DAV Chapter 8 Capital City, VFW Post #6132, American Legion Post #238 of Holt, had had 29 years of Military and National Guard service. He enjoyed auto-stock car racing.
He is survived by two daughters, Diana Jo Steras of Maryland and Jodie (Herman) Hunter of Eaton Rapids; one son, Douglas Webb Wolcott; one sister, Rocksan (Bill) Kelly of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Britnie, Brandon, Briana and John.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth in 1997; his father, Thomas in 1982; and twin brother, Douglas in 1981.
Services were held Nov. 24 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, with Charles Jenson officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.

Thomas Wonnacott
Thomas Richard Wonnacott, 44, of Olivet, died Thursday, March 25, 1999. Mr. Wonnacott was born Sept. 10, 1954 in Sault Ste. Marie, the son of Gerald and Joyce (Robinson) Wonnacott.
Mr. Wonnacott was a member of the Albion Church of Christ.
He is survived by three sons, Jermey Wonnacott of Lansing, Jared Wonnacott of Olivet, Jamie Wonnacott of Olivet; a daughter, Jenna Wonnacott of Olivet; parents, Gerald and Joyce Wonnacott of Olivet; brother, Ken (Lela) Wonnacott of West Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters, Jerilyn (David) Alexander of Vermontville and Kathi (Jeff) Smith of Olivet.
Graveside services were Monday, March 29 at Rosehill Cemetery, Eaton Rapids, with David Lynch officiating.

Arrangements were prepared by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
John Charles Woodworth
John Charles Woodworth, age 54, of Eaton Rapids, formerly of Lansing, died Friday, September 24, 1999 at a Lansing hospital. He was born June 3, 1945 in Lansing the son of John E. and Mary Margaret (Holly) Woodworth. John was a former Security Guard for Pinkerton Security. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his niece, Wanda Pierce of Eaton Rapids; great-niece, Julia Pierce of Eaton Rapids; and a cousin, Marilyn Gunther of Grand Ledge.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 26th, at the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with the Rev. Michael Fountain of the Island City Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids.
Ann Wright
Ann Stauffer Wright, 63, of Vermontville, died May 14, 1999.
Mrs. Wright was born May 14, 1936 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of William and Helen (Howard) Stauffer. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Rochester, N.Y.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew (Dennise) of Vermontville, and Daniel of Rochester, N.Y.; five grandchildren; her parents, William and Helen Stauffer of Ridge Manor, Fla.; and one brother, William Stauffer Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.
Services were May 19 at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Rochester. Interment was in the Mr. Hope Cemetery, Rochester. Local arrangements were made by the Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
